Pretty sure Inoue has mentioned the changes, after a hiatus, in numerous interviews.

The only abrupt change in the series art was when he started drawing more brush strokey with less pen which was somewhere around the part where Kojiro's backstory started.Y'all have just forgotten what it looked like during the farm story. It looked just like this.

I had actually just reread the series about a month ago, and still thought that the change was crazy. But then I realized that I had only read it up to the Ito/Musashi meeting.
Still, I do prefer the previous style a little more.
Looking forward to what Inoue has left. I thought that a farm arc that didn't move the plot would've sucked, but in reality it was one of my favorite parts of the manga.

Vagabond's sword action is great, as always. Matahachi will probably be Kojiro's educator, fun times ahead!
Wonder who will cope with his job better, Musashi or Kojiro?

Hahaha! Didn't expect the chapter to be so fun. For once Matahachi says something intelligent.
Did we already see the bad guy (with a scar) before ? He talked about a fight from ten years ago. -
Kojiro twirling the bowl was ridiculous, but amazing.
And yes! Musashi's back, finally!
