I've experienced that too. I blame the fact that my DVD-player is a piece of crap that cost us less than 60$.
No, it wasn't a freeze. The picture cut out multiple times completey and there was no signal. Happened in the same place on another player. I think it was around the time each of the SH delivered the final blow ton their opponent, right up to Zoro's fight. Other than a few other random places, thats how it was. So is this just an individual disc problem? Or is this something widespread?

Happened to go to an FYE today. They had one copy stuffed underneath some 4Kids stuff (though they were nice enough to arrange their anime by name, unlike some other places.) But, yeah, I just sat through the entirety in the movie in Japanese with Mr. Clyde's subtitles on (just so I can パワーアップ my translation skills.)
Having never seen the movie before, it was just what I envisioned: a jumbled, badly animated One Piece movie with its redeeming points. I think others have said this, but, if you're not a One Piece fan and you watch this movie, you're pretty much fucked, seeing as you'll have no idea what's going on half the time. Plus, some scenes are just plain awkward, like Koza and the Rebel Army's EPIC CHARGE INTO THE KINGDOM (it reminded me of that Gai VS Gai fight from Shippuden) or Luffy and Cobra flying DBZ-style (which wasn't so much awkward as it was…well...no...it was awkward...pretty damn awkward...)
However, the movie aside, the experience of simply watching a bilingual DVD of an anime that a few years ago would have never been on a bilingual DVD just warms the cockles of my heart. Though, I haven't watched the dub of the movie yet (since it's gonna take some time for me to get past the fact that the movie is pretty mediocre on its own) I surely will, because I enjoy the dub as well. I must also applaud Mr. Clyde for his wonderful translation of the movie. (Though, was it me, or was there a grammatical typo on one of Sanji's lines?) I like his use of certain colloquialisms which differ his style from Mr. Simmons' own and gush, gush, gush, yadda, yadda, yadda, fanboy go squeeee!!! (Seriously, I could go on and on about translations alone. Yes, I'm that much of a fucking dork.)
Anyway, I can't wait to purchase the upcoming Season 1 DVDs. Hopefully it doesn't burn a hole through my wallet.

Simlar at my Wal-Mart as well. Since I went there Friday to check if they TMNT 2k3 Season 2, Part 1. Since I bought the movie there during the first week of being out. They only had like 3 copies left. Since the previous week they had aleast 10 - 15 copies.

No, not the art freezes. Although there were smaller incidents, it's happened at every fight until Zoro's. The animation just cuts out and it's just sound. It's quite weird. So, should I take it back and try again or is this a problem that I have to contact the company to fix?
They're going to screen the movie one more time but only at the Embassy of Japan in Washington DC.

Deleted and extended basically mean the same thing for us.. As in there should be more footage that we didn't see.

They aren't. For the last time, all stuff being removed from YouTube, especially anime isn't mainly actually by a company. It's by just normal users who think it makes their e-dicks bigger.
YouTube are pussies, they'll take down anything that gets reported. Even if the rights are 100% theres, which is in FUNi's case.
An ani-manga of the One Piece movie ? That'd be an interesting read if it was ever released here in English. Which won't happen. But if it were, it would be an authentic book. As the script would be taken from the dubbed movie which has the original names and terminology, is uncut and has swearing in it. =p
I wouldn't mind owning the book, I like the idea. I think there were them for past movies too.
Yeah, I'll probably get the Japanese version of the book just for the hell of it. But, I would like it for SJ to actually release it in English. That way I could actually read it and enjoy the art at the same time. =/

I finally got the movie after waiting a week. I personally liked the movie, though I did think that the pacing was very weird, and there was some bad artwork throughout, though I can only think of one scene where it was distracting. Voice acting was excellent, uncut is awesome, blah blah, everyone's said it already. Overall, my only complaints are with the artwork and the pacing. The fights were good, but would've been so much better if they were longer, especially Zoro's, though his was my favorite in the movie. And yeah, anyone not familiar with One Piece would be pretty screwed when it comes to understanding things, but I guess only One Piece fans would get this movie, anyway.

In order to get it, my mom and I had to take a trip to the Best Buy in Savannah, which was a 100-mile drive. Long way to go for a movie, right. Well, yes it is, because Woodbine is a tiny speck of a town, where it takes 20 minutes, just to drive to Wal-Mart! Well, anyway, we get there and I was glad to find plenty of copies, waiting to be purchased!
Even though, I'd prefer a dub of 'Dead-End Adventure,' an abridged, theatrical version of a canon story arc is the next best thing! The movie itself still has its share of problems and I can think of at least five things that would make it better, but the thing that makes this film amazing is the voice cast! The acting was superb and they made watching the dub feel like a brand-new OP experience!

Bleach season 1 has been out of stock there for a month, but it's spot is still there with it's tag, so I know it didn't just sell out…
