Holy Shit. I've never seen so much ass kicked in my life. This is amazing. The plot is for shit but the fights are UNREAL. One scene about a third through rivals what I consider to be one of the best film battles of all time, Jacki Chan's final assault in Drunken Master 2. Coming from from me that means a lot.

I really want to see this movie, if only for the fighting.
Plus, it's endorsed by Wu-Tang. >_>;;
-
Dude, the fighting is UNREAL! This guy is a fucking machine.
The movie itself being released here is CLEARLY an exhibitionary effort. If it takes off here this guy is goin places. Either way just watch and be amazed. At first because of the poor Thai village/premise/language barrier the audience was laughing but after the scene I refer to EVERYONE in the theater was groaning and moaning and cheering.

That's my third time hearing that this weekend. I'll definetely try to see it today.

This, Kung-fu Hustle & Danny the Dog are my must sees of 2005.
-
Ong bak is definitly the worst kung-fu movie I've ever seen. The
storyline is inexistant, and fightings are really poor. -
The
storyline is inexistant, and fightings are really poor. There's one at every forum ^O^ And might I add, I already said from the start, the story is awful. So what? I can't remember a single martial arts film that had anything I could call a 'good' plot.
-
Well i do agree that most of kung-fu movies lacks of storyline but some
of them are way better than others like : Kung-fu cult master, New dragon Gate inn, Chinese Odyssey, Ninja in the Dragon's den, Chinese Ghost story…
are (IMO) way more fun to watch ^___^ -
i dont care about the sdtorry this looks amazing and i must see it
-
I have got to see this movie. I can't beleive that someone can kick more ass than the late great Bruce Lee in a Martial Arts film.
-
and Tony Jaa is a cool name

Watch what he does to one guy's leg and scream like a girl.

you know Ong Bak ,are Old village thai boxing??actually it's not for showing..i can tell you that..it's for fighting…if you use for fighting, you'll surely win ... 1 Elbow may cause you a death,knee,leg,punches...Im 1 of the Old village thai boxers ... people learn Old village thai boxing needs many years ,like over 10 years ..i learnt only 8 years .. i know that Ong Bak is not a good story...i hate the director who make Ong Bak..just a forcing Tony Jaa to show in the movie .. Old village thai boxing shouldn't be shown ..

hmm Mr. Chopper …if you think the fighting are really poor ..maybe you might really think ..cause there are less shows of Old village thai boxing ,you guys always watches Taek kwon do,Karate,Shaolin Kung Fu,Kung Fu,Brazil Ju Jutsu, and bla bla ..and less thai boxing right?you know how tired is a thai boxers train for a days?eating white rice, vegetable and a normal soup..can you handle those kind of living??i've been doing it for 8 years until now im in hong kong .. i feel so relax in being hong kong , sleeping, play games, watch tv,hanging around .. and i can't think back the time i was in thai..how tired and foods i take..and how many hurt i got there ... Thai people are some1 that not afraid anything i can tell you ...if you met me and you'll understand ..
there are many tricks to kill people ..
1 .Hanuman Thawaiwaen ---to use both hand punches hit from the down under neck from a person ..2.Jarakhe Fad Hang/Crocodile Turn Tail ---A turning leg and hit on peoples neck
and im lazy to type all ..there are 147 tricks ..and you have to pratice those tricks everyday everynight every morning ..have to use it fast ...

That's only the name used for the American release, I think.
I can't decide whether or not I want to see this. I probably won't get to see it, either way, but I'd at least like to want to or not want to.

Cyclone Keno Joe : No offense there. It was just my opinion about
the Movie and not about Thai Boxing in general. And i'm pretty sure
Thai boxing deserves a better movie than this one ^___^ -

Which is why this movie rules. People don't take a million hits and flick it off without a hitch like in any martial arts film till…uh...now.
When he goes 1 on 1 with any 'normal' person, he takes em out almost instantly. That was awesome! I've never seen that in any Japanese, Chinese and certainly not Korean film until now.

must….seee.it............

**Without a doubt a very good movie. Fighting scenes were much better than many hollywood productions.

yeah and the tree thing in the beginning… so painful looking, but so fun looking
