Discussing the possible threat that Buggy poses for the Strawhats is just as weird as discussing about Coby, the weakling from Chapter 2, replacing Aokiji as Admiral after the Enies Lobby incident O__O;
I really don't see why not. In fact, I expect him to be admiral level by the end of the series.
That could be going a little overboard Octogon. Coby has shown NO FIGHTING SKILLS whatsoever. Unlike Buggy, Coby just seems to want to be a marine. Maybe a captain at best but not an admiral.

Before any strong person starts training, they are weak. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji were just normal kids until they obtained the drive to go froward and actually start training. Coby hadn't obtained his drive until he met Luffy. But now look at him, it's obvious he and Helmeppo train way past their limit each and every day. I'm a strong believer that is one tries hard enough, they can accomplish whatever.
But then again, there is no conclusive proof/evidence. So I'll leave it at that.**
i always thought buggy to luffy is what brutus was like to caesar. (cept the fact that brutus and caesar were close).
my prediction: buggy would be the one to kill luffy / steal one piece from luffy.

Yeah, but that's just unrealistic. Kuzan's almost 40 years old, if not older. You can't just become an Admiral in a few months. His dream was to become an officer, which is possible. But an admiral… no way in hell. At least not for a long time.
I hope the Clown Pirates attack at the same time as Blackbeard so that Luffy is occupied.

I beg to differ. If Zoro had sliced Buggy's head Vertically, Buggy would be very much dead. I doubt he can split his skull in two, even with his power.
i think he can split everypart of himself just like Mr.1 can turn every bodypart into a sharp edge hence slice and dice him in which ever direction youd like and you still wont hurt him he will still just reform like he always does.
Personally, I don't see the Buggy crew ever becoming a serious threat to the SH. Shonen villains don't tend to get stronger. Especially, insignificant ones.

I'd think the crew matchups would be as such:
Luffy vs. Buggy (goes without saying)
Zoro vs. Cabaji (obviously, Cabaji would be gunning for his swordsman rival)
Nami vs. Mohji (he blamed Nami for everything that happened during the Buggy arc, so it seems fitting he fights her, not to mention they're both not overly powerful)
Chopper vs. Richie (they're both the animals and Chopper seems like the type to unconfidently fight someone as large and powerful as Richie)
Robin vs. Alvida (they're both femme fatales, and Alvida's devil fruit ability would definitely give Robin a run for her money).
As for Sanji and Usopp, there's always time for the Buggy crew to expand.

As for matchups Buggy-Crew vs. Strawhat-Crew, I´d like to see Nami, Ussop and Chopper destroy the the complete Buggy-crew (including Buggy).
You know what would be neet? Buggy&co find the One Piece before the SH's, and the final battle is over the OP. That would be cool.

Well, if may i say, Buggy and his officers is quite developed character. Never underestimate him as we look at his appearance. Appearance can be deceived. DF users could be very dangerous if they can exploite 100% or above of their abilities. As we see him, he never truly revealed his true entity. He also traveled in the same sea: Grandline. Only strong enough people with high durability can survive. He have durability.
Example potential: As i read before: Buggy could scatters his body as logias into fog like with micro scale, even mm or cm scale is good enough.
Yeah, i like this idea much.
Buggy the Clown will be rival of Mugiwara's. With the rivality they can developed each other much more.
