One Piece Tattoos

I saw Hyper Dingo's sweet sakura-pirate tattoo and felt inspired to create this thread. Here list any current tattoos related to one piece you have (preferably w/ pics!!) or any ideas you want to do/plan on doing.

I myself have always wanted a good anime-tattoo. However I've only been into One Piece for like a year so I figured I'd make sure my fandom stood the test of time before I got one. However sometime towards the end of this year I'd like to get a Luffy jumping kanpai-style in the air on the side of my calf or maybe a chopper and/or chibi-sanji-zoro on the ankle area.

Once I get the money I'm planning on getting a Robin Skull and Crossbones Tatoo.

I was considering getting the tattoo that Nami has on her arm, although I'm not sure I should. but I'd like to get somekind of one piece tattoo someday.

A cool idea would be a variation on Ace's tatoo, you know the one with the crossed out S.

Except it would say my name, Max, and before a or x a similar sounding letter, which would be crossed out.

I do remember there was one girl here a loooong time back who did get the Nami tattoo though (which I remember 'cause she and I used to post on COM together in a wild coincidence)… and actually it was a pretty damn good quality one, if memory serves me correctly.

Carter indeed has a point, however, I wouldn't mind getting a tattoo of something One Piece related. Nami's tattoo seems like it would be a good choice, as it's One Piece related and would still look good and not be ridiculous when your older.

eh, I'm planning on getting a One Piece tattoo. I don't think I'd ever grow out of this series.

I want to get either the strawhat skull and crossbones or the Zoro version… not sure where though. i already want to get another kanji tattoo like on my wrist or something. may get "Neko" or "Kaizoku" or both...?

I am not ashamed to admit it either.

I wouldn't want an OP tattoo just because I don't know what I'll be into in 40 years time, I'd probably just see it as a 'you were an idiot in your youth' sign painted into my skin.

I'd be worried about the long term value of such a symbol.

I could see getting Nami's first tattoo but in large part because 1) it looks badass without explanation (a Jolly Roger wearing a strawhat doesn't) and 2) it will remain badass looking indefinitely.

If there were a secondary meaning, I could see it as more worthwhile.

As for HD's symbol, it's technically well done, but I personally find Oda's skulls less than intimidating and a bit cartoonish for my taste.

I've always thought I'd never want a tatoo. don't like the rest of my life thing. Then I was thinking…what if something ever happened to me. A tatoo is a good way of identifying someone. Not really sure about anything yet, but it's a thought.

I actually love tattooes, and have two. I would have more but hell, tattooes cost money, which I don't have alot of at the moment.

Onto the topic at hand, BUT WHY GET A TATTOO OF SOMETHING THAT IN TWENTY PLUS YEARS PEOPLE WON'T UNDERSTAND?

I know a chick that works at a local bestbuy and she has tattooes of Neon Genesis E., Naruto, and Dragonball Z. It makes no sense too me why you would get a tattoo of a popular culture thing on you, hell a tattoo is post to mean something special to you. Not just something that is "in" when you have the money to purchase the ink and services.

see, i don't see it that way. I for one, ADORE One Piece, and it doesn't matter if people "get it" or not, I could care less. And its not like I'd straight up tattoo Zoro on me, that may be a little too far… I think a little logo or symbol is not so bad, it doesn't have to be really big. ^_^

I'd love to get Nami's tattoo when I'm older, but like one time I drew it on my friend and someone thought it was like a wonky swastika and I had explain how Nami was not a nazi. It was a rather scarring experience, really. I feel weird whenever I draw that tattoo in public now.

Anyways, I might just get the Mugiwara skull, but really tiny and like…on the back of my wrist. Or something. But then again, the temptation to tatto a swirl on my eyebrow...(Just kidding. :3)

if i was really daring, i'd get Zoro's scar tattooed on me, lol! but that may hurt… A LOT. and plus, they'd have to see my boobies O_O;

if I ever do it, most probably the same tattoo nami has on her left arm. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but its a nice tattoo.

ive seen someone tattoo the mugiwara flag on their arms, and that'd be cool as well.

I am eventually plan to get a tattoo that is anime related, but also literary related eventually. I am going to have the words "God's in his heaven, all is right with the world." tattooed down my spine. Cookies for anyone who knows what anime and poem that is from!

Yeah, it's 33, and both Zoro's an Nami's appear.

I think the "Sanji-like" one which appears in the corners of early pages doesn't have the eyebrow.

yeah, it is one of Oda's designs lol! i guess its just not my fave honestly… though it is better than Nami's and Sanji's

the thing with my tattoo is most people dont even have to know its from a anime. "what's yer new tattoo of dingo?" "skull and crossbones" A friend and i went to the tattoo parlor to get random anime tat's, he got sasuke's cursed seal on his neck.

I'd like to get either the Mugiwara symbol, or "The Hero Never Dies," or both as tattoos. Only thing stopping me is that I never have much money ;_;

To all the people who say "wouldn't want it in 40 years" blah blah: That's an issue with ANY tattoo. I'm in a hardcore/metal band and my drummer who is only 20 has neck tattoos and full sleeves already. I don't really advocate this kinda thing myself, (At least not to the extreme), but to each their own. I remember 2 years ago I was thinking about a rock-lee tattoo, hence me waiting at LEAST another year before getting anything One Piece related. And yea, secondary meanings and underlying importance (such as the mugiwaras and one piece in general being about friendship) are very important IMO when it comes to tats. In short even if I don't love one piece in like 20 years, I think I'd still be able to look back and say yea, I remember when I was a kid, this represents a time in my life, yadda yadda.

But seriously, I know you guys are lurking out there somewhere, post more tattoo picz! ^_^

I've been wanting to get a tattoo for quite a while now, actually, I'm just being very careful about what I get done and where I get it done on my body. Don't want my youthful impulsiveness to be embarrassing or complicate my life more than it needs to be later on.

As for One Piece, honestly, I wouldn't mind having something from the show tattooed somewhere, I just can't think of anything in particular I'd want. Nami's tattoo is cool and all, but the design itself doesn't have a deep personal meaning for me, that's her deep personal meaning. And if something's going to be on my body for the rest of my life, I want to make damn sure it means something to me. Maybe the kanji for "nakama", but kanji's just so popular I kind of hesitate to get it done, even if it's not the super popular ones like "ai" or something. It's not that I think someone should look at it and automatically get it, or think it's cool, I'd be doing it for my own sake and no one else's, I just want something slightly more unique, I guess. It's representing something I felt was so important to me, I had it engraved on my body forever.

Although Nojiko's tattoo is deeply awesome. Too big and noticable for me personally, but awesome nonetheless.

I agree with what you said over the in twenty years I can look back and etc thing actually. I just was refering to how people get popular culture tattooes, like I saw a tattoo today that I know that the person will hate in five years. It was a head shot of master chief from halo 2, with the words, "in xbox will trust" underneath the helmet/head.

Arg if I ever purchase a digital camera or brown nose my roommate into letting me use his, I'll show people my tattooes which are work in progresses for my wrestling career.

Yea I hear ya. That's why I steer away from the popular (kanji especially) and the popculture. Well, unless it has a really deep meaning to you in particular.

I always thought if I would take a tattoo it would be something which would cover most of my upper body. You know, Yakuza-like. That would make me a living peace of art. With enough money, time and courage I would do it. But hell no I wouldn't want to be a big walking add for a comic rest of my life.

Now there we have a smart girl. Something that isn't even obvious for most of the avarage One Piece queeks.

I was thinking on getting a tattoo of Nami, but have a really good artist draw her in their own style, and add wings, and hide that part of her arm with the tattoo. That way, if I ever do grow out of Op, the tattoo can just be a random oranged haired angel chick.

But there's one other tattoo I plan on getting before that, so it'll be a long while…

we've got some good artists here. Cosmic, Taboo, e1n, Pirate neko, RF Tigermode are good ones that come to mind. If you want a good pic that is not Oda style, Taboo's style really jumps out at you when she draws OP.

what's this other tatoo, may I ask. And I'd like to see this "Nami look a like" tatoo.

i think that's the first and only idea for a tatoo that I've absolutely loved!!! that's such a beautiful idea. may I suggest combining the 2 and getting a griffin? (sp) Not sure if that was a good idea or not, but it's a compramise. then you wouldn't have to choose.
