Can't wait for this movie to come out
Transformers Movie
-
-
hmmmm chances of this being good?
and is that someones eye or Unicron I can't tell
-
I just hope to god it's not live action.
A new movie? What was wrong with the OLD one?!
-
NOTHING WILL EVER BE WRONG WITH TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (caps)
-
Robots in CG? Awesome. I hope it's not like that Cartoon Network crap.
-
There has been so many damn spin offs to the original series, and now a live action movie. Man this is almost as bad as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies of the 90's. Hopefully the Transformer movie is like the original TMNT movie and not the other sequels.
I did find one Transformer spin off to be exceptable, it was the Beast wars spin off. You can't go wrong with a CGI cartoon.
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the original Transfomer show come from Japan?
-

NO JUST NO Don't EVEN TRY to call those movies bad
-

The first Transformers TV show was made in the US, but the toys it was based off of came from Japan (Diaclone and Micro Change).
As for this movie. I'd prefer another TV series instead (Super Link and Galaxy Force kicked ass) but I haven't really looked into it much, i'm just happy that Megatron won't be a gun.
-
Yes, this movie will be live action/CGI.
As a fan of Transformers since 1984, I'm looking forward to the movie, but I don't have very high hopes for the plot to be good or it to stay true to the original cartoon, though I'm sure it'll have dazzling special effects.
Not too happy about the script writer/director choice. -_-
-
NO JUST NO Don't EVEN TRY to call those movies bad
Um I CALLED THOSE MOVIES BAD, at least the first one was closer to the comic. In all truth though, the second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was ok to say the least. The super Shedder at the end was a good way to go full circle on a major villain was great. While the third movie sucked complete arse, time traveling turtles? Pathetic attempt to draw money to me.

Hmm Japan based toys? freaky way to get an idea for a series.
If the movie is at least something with a decent plot instead of a crappy no real plot, two hour, cgi filled orgy I will like it. Hell anymore you pay $6.50 to just watch a no real plot, two hour, cgi filled orgy. Wait I just described X3 in that last sentence I made. -
1 and two of TMNT are awsome. 3 ididnt like save Casey Jones.
On CN, the only TF I liked was Armada, because the majorly developed character was Starscream, plus Uni-friggin-cron. Amazing. Then it got bad. -
Aww i loved those TNMT movies, the second one was my favorite <3
And live action for transformers?! WTF? Lets hope they have a va's for prime and megatron the same….
-
Man this is almost as bad as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies of the 90's.
O no you didn't!
Anyway, not the biggest fan of transformers but I'll probably see it out of curiosity. It has the potential to be a good movie but I reckon they'll do an AVP on us and just add more human then is needed to the equation.
-
I wonder which actors will star in this. Maybe some lame nobodies or actors we all know.
-

Somebody shoot this guy plz (j/k).
Oh come on those movies were really cool.Hopefully the Transformer movie is like the original TMNT movie and not the other sequels.

Yeah, Beast Wars was kickass, my fav. of the Transformers series (DECEPTICONS FOREVER!)
The only actor I know of that will be in the movie is Shia LeBouf (the main kid of Even Stevens). I like the kid, but I hope he doesn't screw up the movie.
One thing I heard is that Soundwave (my fav. TF of all time) will transform into a 4-foot boombox which is kickass IMO. I do hope he does a lot of action in the movie. -
Yes beast wars will always be my favorite transformers series. Ever.
RATRAP MAXIMIZE!!111
lol
god such a great show. I kinda wish they would go back with the animals but who am i kidding.
-
^As much as I don't want to 'go off topic', I really didn't like what happenend to Quickstrike & Inferno at the end of the series, they could've just arrested them & took them with them back to Cybertron :/

this thread needs some more awsome so to the guy who didn't like the TMNT movies I give you
Turtle Power
by Partnerz-in-Kryme
T-U-R-T-L-E Power!
T-U-R-T-L-E Power!
T-U-R-T-L-E Power!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
In a half shell, they're the heroes four.
In this day and age who could ask for more?
The crime wave is high with muggings mysterious.
Our police and detectives are furious,
'Cause they can't find the source,
Of this lethally evil force.
This is serious so give me a quarter.
I was a witness, get me a reporter!
Call April O'Neil in on this case, and
You'd better hurry up, there's no time to waste!
We need help, like quick, on the double.
Have pity on the city, man it's in trouble!
We need heroes like the Lone Ranger
When Tonto came pronto, when there was danger.
They didn't say they'd be there in half an hour,
'Cause they displayed…Turtle Power!
[Refrain]
Now our Miss Reporter was hot on the trail.
Determined to put these crooks in jail.
She spied the bad guys and saw what happened,
But before she knew it, she fell in a trap and caught!
Yeah, she was all alone.
With no friends, and no phone.
Now this was beyond her worst dreams,
'Cause she was cornered by some wayward teens.
Headed by Shredder they were anything but good.
Misguided, unloved, they called them The Foot.
They could terrorize and be angry youths, and
They mugged the people. Who needed proof?
Then from out of the dark came an awesome sound!
Shouted "Cowabunga!" as they hit the ground.
From the field of weeds the heroes rescued the flower
'Cause they possessed…Turtle Power!
Do you stand for what you believe in?
And find the strength to do what's right?
That's TURTLE POWER!
Heroes in half shell, they're on a mission.
When there's a battle got the enemy wishin'
That they stayed at home, instead of fightin'
These ninja masters with moves like lightnin'.
They were once normal, but now they're mutants.
Splinter's the teacher so they are the students.
Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Donatello,
Make up this group with one other fellow
Raphael. He's the leader of the group
Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop.
Pizza's the food that's sure to please,
These ninjas are into pepperoni and cheese.
Back to the story, it's not hard to find.
Ninjas not just of the body but of the mind.
These are the words that their master instructed,
But a letter from Shredder has Splinter abducted.
That was the last straw, spring into action.
Step on The Foot, now they're gonna lose traction.
Now this is for real, so you fight for justice,
Your shell is hard so you shout, "They can't bust us four!
Like some old coffee table."
Since you were young you've been willing and able
To defeat the snake, protect the weak,
Fight for rights and the freedom to speak.
Now the villian is showin' so you take a stand.
Back to the wall, put your sword in you hand.
Remember the words of your teacher, your master:
"Evil moves fast, but good moves faster!"
Then light, shining for your illumination:
Good versus Evil equal Confrontation.
So when you're in trouble to give in and go sour,
Try to rely on YOUR...Turtle Power! -
The One Piece Turtle Power AMV.
I saw your name Taleran. Were you the one who posted it?
-
indeed
EDIT: my profile
-
No, I don't think that big eye is Unicron. It's either Optimus Prime or Megatron. I'm leaning towards Optimus Prime.
I have apprhensions about this movie. It could either be super awesome or really really lame.
-
Yes, this movie will be live action/CGI.

Sings Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I'm am giddy as a school girl for this, being the G1 fan that I am.
-

Um your an idiot Taleran, a big idiot. Re-read my post and you will see that I do like the TMNT movies, only the first one was actually really good though and lived up to the comic, it was more to the maturity level of the comic book. Where the turtles killed Shedder's ninja army and etc.
While the second and third movie were just like the cartoon and filled with puns and other slapstick humor.
I was originally trying to say that I hope that the Transformer movie isn't like that, with pathetic car puns, no character development except for the robots, and the battles only "hurt" the other robots not kill them.
@Freeman-12:
Somebody shoot this guy plz (j/k).
Oh come on those movies were really cool.read above comment.
@Freeman-12:
Yeah, Beast Wars was kickass, my fav. of the Transformers series (DECEPTICONS FOREVER!)
Yea the falcon and white tiger transformers were my favorites in the show. Then the freaky cyberton spinoff happened where out of the two hundred transformers disappeared and only four characters went home to a evil techno looking cyberton.
@Freeman-12:
I do hope he does a lot of action in the movie.Hmm that guy is an ok actor, the big question is aboot who will voice the tranformers though? Any news from that front?
-
yeah because Optimus has to have agood voice or the movie fails
-
Hah, I still remember most of that TMNT rap. I used to know all the words in 6th grade. I loved the first movie, hated the second, never saw the third. But that's for another thread, this is Transformers.
They have done some casting already. I'll have to go look up the information again. The roles that they're casting for human characters is odd. Bunch of characters that never existed, but I figured they would do that.
-
tho im not to fond of CG grapics this could work if they brought back the old VA:s especially the one for Starscream, Kept true to the G1 cartoon and kept the annoying humans screen time to a minimum.
and any Word on whats the story gonna be ?
-
yeah because Optimus has to have agood voice or the movie fails
QTF!
@ cosmic How could u hate the second TMNT moive ;-;

Chriss Latta, the original voice of Starscream, is dead, unfortunately. So is the voice of Ratchet/Gears and Jazz (Don Messick and Scatman Crothers). I think there's a few others that have passed on.
This movie isn't going to be ALL CGI graphics. Just the Transformers, the rest is live actors. Which is cool for me. I just don't like 100% CGI.
and any Word on whats the story gonna be ?
I think it's going to be the story of the Transformers first landing on earth.
I found a short set report: http://superherohype.com/news/transformersnews.php?id=4374
I also found this, which is kind of cool:
This project is the largest movie since “Black Hawk Down” to receive DOD approval. Each year the Pentagon receives numerous requests to film the armed forces in action, however, selection is based on how accurately the forces will be portrayed. Military image is important, according to Army Lt. Col. Paul Sinor, lead public affairs representative for DOD.
Despite the fact this film will have a “science fiction” flair, the project is a realistic portrayal of actual Air Force and Army servicemembers, Colonel Sinor said. The relationship between the director and DOD also was considered during the approval process.
“We’ve worked with Michael Bay before," Colonel Sinor said. "We like the way he operates. He understands how the military operates. We have a very good relationship."
Cooool real air force action. :D
Here's a little blip about actors:
From I, Robot to Transformers
Which actor is poised to join the film?
by StaxMarch 28, 2006 - The Allspark first reported that 19 year-old actor Shia LaBeouf (Constantine, I, Robot) is in the running to play human protagonist "Sam" in the big-screen version of The Transformers. IGN FilmForce has now confirmed via reliable sources that LaBeouf is indeed in negotiations for the role.
A casting breakdown making the rounds online describes the human characters as follows: "Sam - teenage male, somewhat nerdy, but ultimately heroic. Miguela Barns - teenage female, Sam's love interest. Cpt William Lennicks - 30s male, leader of the military. Maggie - female, really hot, really smart, works as a codebreaker for the government. John Kellar - 50's/60's male, US Secretary of State. Glen Whitman - 20's male, technogeek, comic relief."
Michael Bay is directing The Transformers for Paramount (it was a co-venture with DreamWorks until Par bought the studio). Steven Spielberg is exec producing the film.
Shia LaBeouf's credits include The Greatest Game Ever Played, _Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle _and The Battle of Shaker Heights.
Mmmmmkaaayyy…..
Apparently a teaser trailer will appear in theaters in a couple of weeks.
cosmic How could u hate the second TMNT moive ;-;
Probably because by the time it came out, I was 13 or 14, and it appealed to a much younger audience, and I wasn't so much a TMNT fanatic anymore. And it was stupid how they made them tone down on the weapons and stuff.__
-
oh….that sucks Screamer isnt gonna be the same without his original voice=(.
Hope they atleast get the Looks right then...no sneakpeaks on what they will look like ?and the all new human cast sounds annoying far to many and as i seems the movie will have one of those bothersome Romantic subplots that nobody really ever cares about sigh
-
Oh god, no romantic subplots!!!
And yeah, it does suck that Starscream won't have his original voice, but this time it's not the fault of the makers. Hopefully they can find a similar voice, or at least one that has the same level of psycho in it.
-
I wouldn't expect any of the Transformers to have their original voices. This is Hollywood…they're going to go for Star Power for the voices.
-
I vote Christopher Walken as Soundwave!
-
This is Hollywood…they're going to go for Star Power for the voices.
…all i can say is that if i see Ben afflecks or Tom cruises names anywhere near this Movie Michael bay is gonna get a letter bomb in the mail :p.
and Satsuki were you being sarcastic on the Romantic subplot comment ?
i honestly cant tell. -
Every time I look at these monitors, Prime, my circuits sizzle…
WHEN ARE WE GONNA BUST SOME DECEPTICHOPS?!
-
Iron Hide, I need you to make special run to Autobot city on earth…
But PRIME!
We don't have enough energon to power a full scale assault. Ready the shuttles for launch!
Yer days are numbered now, decepticreeps!
Yeah, I probably can recite most of the lines to that movie... -_-;;
Hehe, you know that's Peter Cullen doing the voices of both Prime and Iron Hide. -
haha, dammit, I wanted to bust out the "But PRIME…!"
I love how Optimus doesn't give half a shit about what Ironhide has to say and just gives him orders.
What's even better (and makes me laugh everytime) is that Laserbeak gets the "But Prime...!" on the transmission.
-
I think Ironhide and Optimus had a little spat that morning or something.
I could never understand how Laserbeak even got into their "secret" moonbase without being detected. He just flew right in.
-
Well, I guess that's what makes Laserbeak so infallible, unlike some of Megatron's OTHER warriors.
Btw, best line in the move: Aww shit, what are we gonna do now!?
-
"Much easier, oh mighty Megatron, then attacking the REAL threat. The Autobots' Moonbase!"
"You're an idiot Starscream". (XD) Once we slip past their early warning system in their own shuttle, and destroy Autobot city, the Autobots will be vanquished forever!"Nooooo….!"
"Such heroic nonsense...boom end "Instruments of Destruction"
Where was that early warning system on the moonbase when Laserbeak flew in?? XD
I can't believe they slipped "oh shit" in the movie. They edited the line out when it came out on VHS, and for a long time I thought I imagined it. It's back on the DVD version now, though. I hear there is a new edition of the movie coming out on DVD with lots of extras. I HOPE it will be widescreen as well, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
-
I'm looking forward to the movie. It has a prime opening date, a Dreamworks production….and Micheal Bay directing...okay, now I'm depressed.
-
lol…yeah, that pretty much describes the how the Transformers fanbase felt in order of when all these things were discovered. XD TF movie...COOL! Spielberg...COOL! Michael Bay.....Crap.
-
"Hey Perceptor, what's shakin', other than this fortress?"
-
"Soundwave superior, Constructicons inferior"<<<<my fav.="" line.<br="">Also I heard that the original voice actor for Optimus from the 80s auditioned to play Optimus & I think he got it.</my>
-
Where did you hear that? I haven't heard anything in any of the TF communities.
"Nobody would follow and uncharismatic bore like you!"
"Hey, nobody calls Soundwave uncruzomatic!"
Actually I think one of my favorite lines is
"Wait! I still function!"
"Wanna bet?"
"STARSCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAM….!!!" :laugh:And how can we forget:
Don't act hostile...I'll use the universal greeting!
"bah weep graaagnah wheep ni ni bong" (yes that is the official spelling) -
speaking of TF quotes there are a few lines that just has to be uttered in this movie and those are having Prime say "autobots roll out" and "megatron must be stopped no matter the cost" and also Ironhide just has to say "leaking lubricant" at some point in this movie.
and also i really hope they do megatron and Primes battle atop of the sherman dam justice that was the greatest fight in all of G1(except TF the movie of course) their energon weapons rocked my world as a kid^^.
-
A quick question, didn't the latest transformer show on cartoon network involve almost all the ideas from the past series?
My college buddies and I have been discussing Transformers since the news of the movie surfaced and this question popped up
-
I didn't watch the last series, but you have to realize that Japan has been on their own timeline for a long time. The series actually continued in Japan where the US left off, and they've been making a lot of other TF series since then. From the little bits that I did see, it was loosely based off the original G1 ideas, but they took a lot of liberties also, but bascially I don't think it was really all that relevent. The Beast Wars show actually did take off from the G1 series at some point to a really interesting degree, it's too bad that it got canned in favor of Bob Skir's crappy monstrosity he called "Beast Machines".
-
I know it ain't a quote, but aw fuck it-
"You got the touch! You got the POWER!!!!"
-
Yes, I still listen to the TF movie sound track often. :) And I'm a huge fan of Vince DiCola. And I can proudly show off my copy of his piano solo CD that says "to my friend Angela" XD It's great to be fans of non-famous people, they're so much more accessible.
If I could make AMVs, I'd totally do a One Piece one to "The Touch." BTW, funny how that song ended up in Boogie Nights… o.O

You've somewhat inspired me, but Movie Maker is a horrible program to make AMV's in, so I have another idea.
