The Juggernaut Bitch movie clip -
I really liked it; I've always liked X-Men, and this was a pretty good movie. I was kindof disapointed that Gambit wasn't their, and that Pyro and Iceman's fight only lasted about two seconds. Still, seeing Magneto freaking pick up the Brooklyn Bridge and levitate it was amazing.
Oh, and Juggernaut wins the best movie quote ever with "I'm the Juggernaut bitch!"
-
I heard it sucked…but I haven't seen it yet, so I really should get my own opinion...
-
I guess that third time is not the charm. I was disappointed yet again because the fights sucked again and it was as boring as the other two movies. It was better than the other ones atleast, but thats not saying a lot.
Some things that I thought were good in the movie were of course "I'm the Juggernaut bitch!" best quote ever, Beast was pretty cool, oh and Mystique in her human form is hot.
-
@Hunky:
Mystique in her human form is hot.
I agree. I didn't really understand why that one lady could sense powers and was super fast. I can't even remember what that lady's name is.
-
@Mr.:

It was the Golden Gate Bridge, and they were in San Francisco.

Yes, that's what I meant. I'm really being thick today. Brooklyn Bridge. >.>
-
you're thick every day… >.>

That was supposed to be Calisto the leader of the Morlocks, but they changed her from having an eye patch to a tatoo. Also they gave her all these powers that she did not have like super speed, and being a able to sense the power level of mutants. -
That was supposed to be Calisto? Jeez, it didn't look remotely like her; I mean she had cleavage!
-
…guys you forgot about the second funniest thing.
"I spray you bitch!" -
"I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!"
OK, I just had to say it, lol!
I personally enjoyed the movie, specially the fight at the lab, but I kinda was kinda disspointed with Magneto's character in this movie.
That and I knew from the start that the 'cure' wasn't 100% effective nor permanent :P. -

That was Calisto? Holy Heck!!! I guess these people didn't bother reading the character bios. I was trying to figure out that one person with Calisto was a woman or a man.
-
Arclight pissed me off by doing nothing except sitting there and being not hot and clapping once.
And Calisto was never that hot. Ever.
-
I wish they acknowleged the characters a bit more. Colossus was just some guy that threw Wolverine, and I had to actually find Psylocke.

Psylocke was in the movie? Oo

It was really funny at one point in the movie, when the man-woman (the one with the curl for the front of her hair) was shown, and REALLY loudly, some guy yelled "TRANSVESTITE!!"
-
Seen it last night, awesome movie. Not enough fighting and destruction, but it was enough I suppose for 6 bucks. I found it kinda funny how they managed to kill off both Eric and Charles [no powers and dead] but built them back up by the end of the movie [ for those of you that don't know… i usually hang around after the movies over to pick up some free popcorn -- and whilst doing that, I saw a hidden scene at the end of the credits... cool stuff ]
Kinda funny they used the "Do you know who I am?! I'm the Juggernaut B–" That line was actually started(?) here in this lil fandub of an x-men animation.
]
[fandub: [url]
[from the movie: [url] ] you just gotta take my word for it that he did say the B word at the end.Great movie overall… and now.. here are the One Piece references I saw in this movie [lol]
1. Enis Lobby's waterfall!!!! Lol, for a few seconds, I could only think of EL during that scene [you know which].
2. When all the X-Men are lined up for the final confrontation, it looked EXACTLY like when the SH's were lined up about to face the CP9s… really good scene too.
3. I was tossing the idea of Devil Fruits in relation to Mutant genes. Just about all of the mutants were Paramecia types. I really wanted to try to classify Jean as a Logia, but it just wouldn't work... Atleast there was a Zoan, haha...

already a thread. merged

Thanks dude… And for the record, I did look for the thread first… must of missed it though...
-
I haven't seen the movie yet. But once again I am disappointed. No Gambit.
I want Gambit dammit!

My friend is a sucker for these movies and yesterday he dragged me to see this one and I thought X3 was worst movie I've seen since Advent Children. It felt like they had putten too much stuff into too short length but I doubt that even if given more length it wouldn't have been too great anyway. It would have been just less awful.
-

yeh….. that man.. or woman.... watever, wen it showed up in the movie all my friends and I were lyk.. errr..... tranny... and wats with all the bad mutants dressing emo like, and they all seemed to have the same power how they could jump super far wen they came off the bridge...
also.. spoilers here... but i heard that after the credits theres an extra scene, i didnt know about it, but i've heard rumours about wat happened in it, can anyone clear this up? cheerz

I believe your talking about Arclight. My friend called him/her a Malay lookalike.
As for the credits additional scene, its at youtube already. Just search for X3 credits scene.

I like it. I totally hated the ending until the scene with the chessboard, which made everything better again. It really irritated me how Rogue took the cure, but I guess I would do the same. Though the tension between her and Iceman makes me hopeful for Gambit if there is an X4. XP
And apparently there is going to be, and more: http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2006/01/fox_confirms_xmen_4.html

Well, I've finally seen X3 yesterday and I think it was a solid movie. Not bad, but not great either. It was fun, the CGI effects really make it worthwile, but that's just all. Many characters were left underdeveloped (or not developed at all). Cyclops' part was simply ridiculous. Looking at the movie in general, I see no reason why couldn't he have been left alive and placed instead of Wolverine as the one who kills Jean in the end. He would have finally gotten the spotlight he deserves, not to mention that it would have made more sense, in my opinion. Of course, people could say that's impossible and that Wolverine was the only one who could do it because of his healing factor. But the fact is, if she wanted to kill him, no healing factor would have helped him, I mean, she made people disappear with a mere thought. Another ridiculous thing was Angel's screentime. He was practically the main reason why the whole mess with the mutant cure and the Brotherhood even started and we've seen him for what, five minutes overall? The point is, these character bits are just being thrown at us with no sense, which should make us see the whole picture, but instead just makes the movie feel empty. The movie really lacks cohesion, the character bits served only as interludes between the fights. All in all, the script is pretty awkward with numerous plot holes, the movie simply felt rushed.
On the other hand, seeing Storm in spotlight was really neat and the background for Jean's transformation was pretty well done. And I kinda liked the bit with Magneto's and Pyro's handy-dandy fire catapult. In the end the CGI effects and the fights are what really make the movie work. A fun movie, but nothing more than that. And yes, I believe that Singer would have done a better job.
Until I see Superman Returns, V for Vendetta stays on the top place as the best comic book movie of the year.

How did you like V for Vendetta? That movie was terrible and was just too anti government. Plus the character played by Agent Smith was just not fully used. He couldn't do any facial expressions to make use of his great acting ability since that damn mask covered his face. And the mask didn't even look that cool.
-
A bit wrong thread but in my books V for Vendetta is a strong candidate for a movie of the year. And I haven't even liked that much of super hero movies before.
-

The liberated peoples can't get enough of anti government.
-
damn you people and all your posts. Well you can forget me going back and reading them all. (at least for now) :P
I thought the movie was ok, but not great. I thought it was the end of the trilogy so i thought it could be better for that reason, but as Taboo has lead to, this isn't the last one. And damn, I should have stayed and sat down for the credits. Thank god for youtube.
As for the cure, I knew it wasn;t going to be perminate.
Taboo's right about gambit. Where is he?!
I finally get that sig someone here has. "i'm the juggernaut bitch" I saw that in the theatre and lol.finally, wholey crap batman, omni you changed your Ava!
-
I saw it with a friend yesterday and frankly I was dissapointed. I felt the biggest problem was merging together two plotlines from the comics instead of focusing on one. I personally felt it should have focused on either Phoenix OR the cure, not both.
While I know quite a bit about the comics, my friend didn't. After the film my friend felt the powers of some characters weren't fully explained and I took a few minutes to explain what some were. Frankly that shouldn't be required.
However some of the scenes were good. I liked KG as Beast, couldn't think of a better actor for one of my favourite X-Men. It was nice to see Bobby turn into Ice, even if it was for a split second. I liked seeing the Wolverine/Colossus tag team move (I forget name), though I wish Colossus was used for more. Why not have him run in and take down some of Magneto's "pawns"?
There are probably a few more things I wanted to mention and forgot. I do intend to buy it to complete the collection and don't view it as the worst comic book adaption, but I don't feel it's anywhere near as good as X-Men 1 or 2. Shame as it had potential.
while my personal opinion is that Superman is a crappy character to begin with, so why continue making movies?
My thoughts exactly. If I was given a choice between staying with X-Men or doing Superman I'd stay with X-Men.

My friend said Stan lee made an apearance. The flashback with Xzavior (sp) and Magneto meetinng Jeane as a child…the old guy with the water hose outside....that's Stan Lee. I thought that was cool.

He appears in all the marvel films in some shape of form.
E.G. In X-Men 1 he is having a barbeque on the beach when the senator comes out the water
In Daredevil Matt Murdoch stops him from crossing a busy street. -
Yea Stan Lee is in every marvel flm excpet the Punisher, if memory serves right, or can someone correct me on that?

I heard they might do the Savage Land arc, and that would mean Mr. Sinister
dundundunnnnn
that this movie for me was mainly a disappointment, I atleast thought archangel would take part in the final battle, and lack of special effects for Pheonix… I mean she commands a firebird..... where was it? all she did was blow people up, and spin things around, and the end battles were lame... nothing really happened, well I should leave my rant at that....

I'd want to see a big movie try and do Onslaught but that'd never happen
X3 was weird since the Title made it seem like the end and the ending made it seem like it wasn't
and if they do keep it going will the pull a comic with Jean

Well, you're not Bryan Singer. He's a huge fan of Superman and it's a dream movie for him. Plus, I heard 20th Century Fox are some real bastards to work with so I don't blame him for doing Superman Returns instead of X3.
EDIT: @The_green_samurai_ranger: Man. I would've hated to see you do V for Vendetta. It would've been another League of Extrodinary Gentlemen then.

What? ok first off, I said that the movie was terrible and anti-government. That doesn't mean that it didn't have its moments. The movie's plot was just too different from the graphic novel's plot, that is all.
I thought that the League of Extrodinary Gentlemen was ok, but I would of made V for Vendetta more like the graphic novel, plain to point. Hell even the damn maker of the graphic novel itself hated the film.
@wikipedia:
Alan Moore, however, distanced himself from the film, as he has with every screen adaptation of his works to date. He ended cooperation with his publisher, DC Comics, after its corporate parent, Warner Bros., failed to retract statements about Moore's supposed endorsement of the movie. After reading the script, Moore remarked that his comic had been "turned into a Bush-era parable by people too timid to set a political satire in their own country…. [This film] is a thwarted and frustrated and largely impotent American liberal fantasy of someone with American liberal values standing up against a state run by neoconservatives — which is not what [the comic] 'V for Vendetta' was about. It was about fascism, it was about anarchy, it was about [England]." He later adds that if the Wachowskis had wanted to protest what was going on in America, then they should have used a political narrative that spoke directly at America's issues, similar to what Moore had done before with Britain. The film changes the original message by arguably having changed "V" into a freedom fighter instead of an anarchist. An interview with producer Joel Silver suggests that the change may not have been conscious; he identifies the V of the graphic novel as a clear-cut "superhero…a masked avenger who pretty much saves the world," a simplification that goes against Moore's own statements about V's role in the story. Lloyd, by contrast, embraced the adaptation.
