I think Luffy's Battle Komas will be like this:
4 Koma-That one with Gomu Gomu no Storm
5 Koma-Skypeia Luffy
6 Koma-Afro Luffy
7 Koma-Gear 2 (maybe 3?)Luffy

I think that sounds about right. As long as Afro is kept and we still get Gear I'm happy.

And hopefully they won't be lazy with the sprites, and actually make different costumes besides when they do the X attack.

Agreed. Yoh and the Super Saiyans all got sprite upgrades for some of their more powerful moves so why can't it be the same for the rest. I'd love to have Afro Luffy as a base form.

I do like how thye've included a picture and the character's name under their health bar. Nice touch. I also hope tag team attacks are kept and maybe a few more are included, such as keeping Yoh's tag team move with Jotaro and maybe giving him another one with Goku or Naruto.

Also judging by Anna's attack (seen in the screen shot with Jotaro in action), there is a chance characters (or at least some) won't get any new moves, as I remember her having that one in JSS1. Then again I don't think she fights much so they may nto have many moves to work with.

I think the biggest problem would be that both Bo-bobo and Don Patch are playable, which means you would have to "fuse them" to get their various fusion forms. (though not playing it, I'm not sure how they got Gotenks in the last game).

Though I would like to see the following setup for Bo-bobo:
4-5 Koma: Bo-bobo
6: Super Bo-bobo (AKA with that jacket)

! 7: Extra Dandy Bo-bobo (basically Bo-bobo fused with the power of another character in the final battle of "Part 1")

According to Wikipedia's entry on JUS/JSS2, there were 27 series and 160 characters in JSS, so it looks like we'll be getting 13 new series and 140 (almost double) new characters. Sounds great. I wonder if you can transfer data from JSS1 to JUS, like decks, Komas and perhaps stages.

Oh one thing I hope this game has is having specials being stronger then the pervious koma.

Like Zoro's 36 pound cannon in 4th koma did 30 damage, 5 koma 108 pound cannon did 25 (most of the time, I got 75 once, but I dont know how). There are many others too. Sanji veau shot only does like 22 damage and gomu gomu no storm only does like 25 (which I guess is ok, but for storm….)

JEBUS! 40 different series compared to 27?! That's almost 13 whole new manga! I guess that means it's time to start speculating about any new series that they'll have.

Yeah we should definetly have an wifi tournament in like janurary (game comes out in dec. right)

The "Koma" system will still be used with the original 4-by-5 grid and touch screen. It seems this time, the player can use L and R button as hotkey to quickly call the characters into battle without the usage of touchpad. Also a leader system has been implemented.

but! Storm actually does 33 damage and hits multiple targets. :0 But this does not compair to the uber Golden Rifle, which can instant kill the female characters (very low HP. :/) if you manage to hit them more than once with it (they have to be positioned a certain way). ..I don't have 7 Koma Luffy yet.. :(

though I'm glad, 6 Koma Luffy seems to now be a 5, which is awesome because 6 Luffy ROCKS, but he's one panel too large to add to my One Piece deck. :( Hopefully 5 Sanji and 5 Zoro will be the same. (shaved down by one, that is)

anyway, i'd say Zombie Powder is probably in, yeah. As far as other series go.. I'm not sure. I've only really read the series that were in JSS, and not many outside that. (ZP and Brain Eater Neuro.. I think it's called, are the only 2. ..I also havn't read any Kochikame or Slam Dunk..)

Yeah IMO in jss koma 6 (now 5) for luffy is the best in the game. I don't really like 7 that much….

Death Note was in the last one. All of the characters were either support (Light and L) or help (Misa), but the series was represented.

I wasn't a bit fan of 6 Koma Luffy that much.

One quick thought - some of the prototype pictues of JSS1 had "6 Koma Luffy" as either 4 or 5 Koma, but as we all know ended up as 6. I wouldn't be surprised if this may change for the final game.

OMG!!! I love Jump Superstars!!! I managed to clear every single stage and get every characters for the last one (althought it took a while). But now more stuff!! Hopefully Death Note will be one of the main playable manga and not support.

I think Gon had a "rock" move (huge energy fist), but I don't read HXH so I dunno.

Maybe "Leader" just means that they're the one to be chosen to go first every match? Or maybe they get more hit points or something.

@Warp: did you ever try the Sanji + girl koma trick? I had 5-panel Sanji, 2-panel Nami, and filled everything else with female help koma. Each on causes his attack to go WAY up, using the Up+X move on a girl pushed it up even more, and all the koma gave me around 15 J-Spirit bars. DEADLY.
Only problem is that you have only one character (thankfully Sanji is fast).

Yes, and considered a "legendary series", like DragonBall, so the fact it wasn't in JSS is surprising.

Well not really, since the combat system lacked any kind of throw ability the fact that a wrestaling manga wasen't included isn't that suprising. Maybe they'll add that though for this one. (I would love to see Robin Mask in this)

If they're adding more manga titles to the game, I'm having hard time imaging them not going old-school. I kinda want to see more Fist of the North Star characters, but there's enough characters already that do rapid punching. Some throw moves from the kinnikuman series would be nice though.

While that is true, what I meant was, it's surprising that they didn't include any charcters in one shape or another from a "legendary Jump series" (for want of a better way to describe it).

Well, they had moves like Lee's Ura Renge, which kind of grabs the enemy and blasts them down. They also could've used things like the Kinniku Flash.

I was pretty disappointed Kinnikuman wasn't in the original as well. I'm hoping they'll implement him this time.

The problem with Hokuto no Ken is that all of Kenshiro's moves would cause internal explosion.

Ahhh. I'll bet money if they throw Kenshiro in, they'll probably have some lame flashes/stars to go as explosions. Or at least have an effect to go with his attacks.

If I remember right, Kinnikuman Nisei is being published in Playboy currently, so I would guess that Kinnikuman would be put in the game.

Eh, there are chances that there will be mangas from V-Jump so why not another Shueisha publication.

Personally I'd like to see Z from Neko Majin Z feature in one way or another. Other than that they covered all the series I'm interested in in the first game.

I forgot to mention if train isnt in this game I am going to kill myself. (not literally) I was HIGHLY disapointed he wasnt in the first one. I mean the main character in black cat and he isnt in the game as a battle character.

I really want to see a Hiruma battle koma. That has tons of potential.

And yes, I second Neko Majin Z. The only game he's been featured in is Supersonic Warriors 2 as a support character, and he was cut out of the American version.
