I heard that the acting though in Grand battle was a lot better then the show so I really hope that it will be ok.
Robin looks like she's wearing a Kimono in one of the screens, and I don't think that was in any of the previous PS2/Gamecube Grand Battles. Luffy also wears a Captain's Hat and Coat.
About the acting in Grand Battle: I think it's better because they don't say as many (if any) puns or side jokes, but the voices themselves are still half-assed.

It does look like that to a point, but it's too hard to tell in the shot due to the rain and position of Robin.

Hina shows up at the end of Alabasta, and she has been in a GB game before hasn't she? Maybe she'd be included as a way to get another female character in there.
I don't think its Robin's Water 7 coat, looks more like she has a kimono as an alternate costume to me.
They did take out Smoker's cigars from his mouth, BUT they're still featured on his jacket in both the game model and his artwork in Grand Battle. Also, Sanji's cigarette did get an edit in the artwork I think. I know Ms. Double Finger got her cigarette edited out entirely in her Grand Battle artwork as well.
Kanji are all kept, I think the only thing Bandai removed is characters smoking, which I guess is to keep the rating E.

I don't know. The E10 rating was is use before Grand Battle (U.S) came out so I think they'll stick with teen.

In Skies of Arcadia, Gilder lost his cigarette, but after battle, he still does the smoking motion...
They also changed Liquor to Loqua, so random NPCs get drunk on Loqua... Err- I don't think that helped.
Oh I never noticed the T rating, well I guess smoking is still something they don't like too much.
I just checked out all the unlocked stuff I have in grand Battle, and while kanji was left everywhere else, Mr. 1's event artwork is missing the kanji on his chest. However, his in game model still has it. Also looking at the unlocked artwork of Smoker, the cigar in his mouth is gone as well.
So aside from smoking, and one instance of visible kanji on the artwork everythign else was left the same. Including breasts, color schemes (Ms. Merry Christmas' tie has the old colors) and cigars on jackets.
I wonder if Ace's tatoo is in the game, a few screenshots have some marks on his arms but its hard to tell if they left it in or not. Judging from what's going on with Mr. 1 in GB, maybe they leave marks on in game models but they can easily edit the art.
I wonder if people would get confused seeing ASCE on "Trace"'s arm.

I actually think they got rid of his tattoo, even on the game model. I'll try to look for a better picture, though.
Yeah that image confused me, because on all the other pictures with Ace you can see his tatoo in tact on the game model. All the ones where he was fighting Luffy you can see it on his arm, like the ones here. Look closely and you can see it fine.
Of course those were older screenshots, so maybe they removed it after those were released.

It seems strange tho that they made their own character. but I think that this is a preview version for the japanese game. They are just waiting for more of cp9 to be revealed before the japan release(I hope)
but fighting the snake, and tag team on some marines sounds awesome. Im definatley gonna buy this(my one piece fandom wont let me not buy it).
If the dub wasnt so awful, I would definately encourage games like this(this may be the best (partially)american made anime game ever.)

This game is not going to be released in Japan, as far as I know. It's merely to make up for the three (technically four, if you include Afro Luffy) characters and two stages that were removed from Grand Battle: Rush for it's English release.
When's the game gonna be released here? And it better be on GameCube, else I'm gonna havta force my parents to get me a PS2. And that won't be easy.

It definately has unlockable costumes, Robin seems to have a kimono, Nami has her cheerlading outfit, Luffy has both his Skypiea look as well as the bigs red pirate coat and hat.
I doubt Water 7 costumes since the dub is waaaaay to far off, maybe if there's a Japanese version there will be in that. If Foxy is in the game then the costumes could go all the way up to the Davy Back, and if not then up to Skypiea.
I hope there's more costumes from all the color spreads, I love those ones.

I don't think the Usopp/Luffy thing means anything Water 7 related for this game, its just Usopp standing there with a serious look on his face. All the people who haven't gotten to Water 7 yet will see nothign other than Usopp looking serious.

Enel is in the game…..alright that leaves one playable character. Gan Fall, Wiper, Hina, and Alvida are my picks for who I'd like to see (Mainly Wiper, with the rest as supports)
If Sanji has Conis as support, maybe Chopper or Nami could get Gan Fall as support. Buggy could have Alvida as a support, and Smoker or Tashigi could have Hina.
I too am curious about the voices.......it makes me wonder. As we saw with Grand Battle, some of the voices used in the game were NOT the voices that were used in the dub (Like Miss Double Finger and Miss Merry Christmas)
And since the current state of the dub is uncertain as well its run on rerun hiatus, whose to say 4kids hasn't even started looking at Skypiea just yet and the voices for Enel and other Skypiea characters will be chosen by Bandai.
I'd rather Enel has an average voice that some Bandai people didn't put much thought into as opposed to a 4kids voice that 4kids put TONS of thought into only for it to end up sucking horribly.
Though I kinda want to hear enel's voice. 4kids usually gives villians good voices

Does anyone else think that it's weird that in the game they refer to Mr. 2 as Mr. 2 Bon Clay even though they never said Bon Clay in the dub and erased Bon Clay off his Jacket?
