lol. True enough. But plain fact is right now I'm a busy little bee of a student, and I sadly don't have a lot of time for new long-series. I already got into Glass Mask (42 volumes), so I don't know if I can suffer another long series at this point. Maybe come summer when I have time.
Although, from what I've deduced from fan sites, it seems a little . . . . . . testosterone saturated. Which I suppose is to be expected of a boxing series.
Yeah, a lot of people don't really find the time for it. I got into it about 4 years ago, but I hardly kept up because I was actually somewhat serious about school. XD
If it helps though, scans are already to 51 and easy to access, with raws covering everything up to that and one group doing a chapter a day. So there's never any waiting.
And yeah, it has some testoterone. A lot, when you compare it to the tennis manga. But the characters are very deep, with maybe one being overly masculine, an in insanely funny way. Plus, despite all the knockouts, boxing is still treated as a science, not just a big fight (for the most part). Which is cool, since the manga-ka actually worked a corner before. And you don't really need to know anything about boxing, but it's probably a bit more fun if you do. It was cool seeing Ippo come against some of the limits I myself hit.
