Some people are just like that. It took a long while for me to beat Vorg, Date, and Sawamura. The latter two I can kind of understand, but Vorg? The bear also gave me some crap at first.
The bear takes maybe….10 seconds with Kamogawa. I think after two Tekkens, he's down. That's just how it is, if you can knock it down once, with anybody, you win.
I guess I just give up too easily against the bear when I'm Saeki. It takes awhile to know if you are actually doing any damage with Saeki (because he's so weak). I can run from the bear all day, but eventually I just quit because it doesn't seem like I'm hurting him. But maybe I need to be more patient.
But I'll be sure to post here if I ever do beat the bear with Saeki (I'll try it again next time I play).
The hardest guys for me when I first played through the game…besides that afro guy...were mostly the earlier guys. I guess it's because I wasn't that used to it yet, so I lost a lot to guys like Hayami and stuff.
Things got easier for me when I set the dodge/sway to be either L or R (can't remember...whatever the button that is not used for specials is). I can't really do it too well when it's set to the control pad or whatever.
Yeah! That's what I did. I put it as L1, so I could move with the analog and sway with that. It feels a lot better that way.

Sounds awesome. A problem I had with VB1 was that the matches were 6 rounds at the very most, unless I got rid of the three knockdown rule.
Yeah i had that problem with both vb1 and vb2, but like i said in allstars you can adjust everything so its very easy to have long matches (i even have long matches when i dont adjust anything too, so its much better in that regard)

Saeki's punches don't seem to do anything to the bear…. And if Takamura hits Saeki once, he's okay...but if the bear hits Saeki once, he's down.

lol well with saeki's speed thats why i find it hard to believe, anyways do what buc said and use uppercuts against him
basically constantly circle the bear while you are real close to him and throw constant righthand uppercuts, when the bear stands up or runs at you get away from him as fast as possible (with saekis speed thats very easy), just rinse and repeat that strategy and the bear will eventually go down
and the afro guy (ryuzaki) is easy to beat :P, the key to beating him is taking advantage of his dash (whenever he lands a good punch he will ALWAYS dash in, when he dashes in counter the bastard, if you do that he shouldnt last more than 2 rounds)

thats what i reallly dislike about the vb games, they always make vorg weak as hell (in the manga he is in the top 5 of the best fighters, even above ippo and miyata)
and vorg is simple to beat, you just have to watch out for his combinations and hit his body alot(his power is about on par with date in vb1 as his combo speed, but his chin and stamina are super shitty)

lmao, yeah i really liked how they had the accurateness of the manga in the vb1 story mode (right down to changing the cheers to all girl cheers just like in the hayami vs ippo fight in the manga)

yeah vorg is good in the gba game, personally my favorites are mashiba,ippo,vorg,miyata,sendo (the rest i dont care about)

Episode 76 of the anime is the end, with Sendo and Makunouchi II. The OVAs have Kimura's match and something else minorly important. Oh yeah, the Sanada match.
I was actually a little annoyed that such a good anime (in terms of quality, few match it) went nowhere in Japan. Maybe there should have been filler with SendoXMiyata implications. There were some rumors of a return, though.

Sendo went against a Mexican. It was a tough fight, but KO victory, of course. He says he's gunning for Martinez.
Meanwhile, his "kouhai," Hoshi, has revealed his skill. His match was before Sendo's, and ended in one punch. He's a former dojo destroyer, a supreme martial artist. Upon first meeting, he rocked Sendo with a shot, but gained great respect for Sendo because he didn't fall. Out with Itagaki and Ippo after a victory, Sendo kinda says the respect is mutual, but then realizes he left Hoshi at the arena.

i'm just before aoki's match, it's currently the fight between ippo and this fisherman-rock-like.
i've not seen the oavs, the french team which does a great job on ippo is about to do it, so i'm waiting.
