It is perfectly logical to cater to the audience that only really reads is "Naruto" but I am a bit annoyed with the pace there releasing One Piece at. I initially had no prob, with the pace they were releasing 'till, now now it seems it will take forever to finish the Arabasta let alone reach Jaya. Fans, will have to deal with the pace they are releasing the series at because complaining won't fasten the pace. Oh well, Oh well, life moves on…... Does anyone question why Viz just remove One Piece from their magazine ? Anyone inform me about this ?

I actually don't mind the 3 chapters per month release. It's just barely tolerable for me.
2 per month is just ridiculous though. At that rate, it'll be about only 2 (maybe 3) volumes per year. :getlost:

Agreed. 3 a month meant we got four volumes a year (on average) which is a lot better than what it looks like we'll be getting now…

Has anyone seen errors in re-prints of volume 10? A friend of mine says whenever he sees Volume 10 in the shops (in England mind), he finds two of the pages have been printed twice (don't have the chat at hand for full information). Has anyone else ever seen this?

OP stays in the magazine cause it makes Viz a little bit of money. Nowhere near Naruto and Bleach but they just like to seem they care. (when in reality its torture for some people)
On the other hand, Bo-bobo seemed to just get the first chapter of Former Maruhage this time around…so considering how it only gets one chapter a month, we'll be stuck with that arc for...oh, the next three years.

I checked mine. Page 26 is printed twice. I think it's printed instead of a cover page. Mine is the UK version published. by Orion Books/Gollancz. I checked for a printing number, but it didn't have one.
Oh, and I think Bobobo gets worse treatment. The next volume isn't out until March 2009 and we are missing the beginning.

Page 26… Sounds about right. I don't think he's been able to see the American/Viz versions anywhere at the moment so he hasn't been able to move past volume 9.

I have the first edition Viz volume 2, and the ending of the book is the page of where Luffy sends the Buggy Ball back at the Tavern.
So, the scene goes from Buggy yelling he's God of the Pirates if Luffy's King, to an explosion and Nami yelling "What are you?!"
Quite funny. I don't know if it was ever fixed.

I re-read the volume last night and they've printed something like page 8 on page 26 and 27 so it's now missing two pages and that page has been printed 3 times.
When I was flicking through an early volume of Dragonball Z, at the back it had a page saying "title pages" where they show all the title pages, and yet they had no title pages after it, but the US version did.

Hey I've been wondering; is being so behind the Viz Manga a good thing for One Piece in America? I mean it's 4kids counterpart has already gone beyond that of Viz but the Funimation dub is now currently behind it. So now would this make sales better for the Viz translation because new One piece fans have a way to get ahead of the Funimation dub (ASIDE from Illegal downloads.) Would this be better for the manga translation?

Maybe, but it would probably be better if they featured it more (since far as I know, most people don't read it) and took out that Yugioh GX crap. US Jump features Bleach, Naruto, and Yugioh too much, they don't give other series (especially poor Bobobo) much of a chance.

GX only gets one chapter a month and is a great Manga. Bleach and Naruto make Viz the most money and are the most popular of their titles.

Only one? I thought it was two. Anyways, I think GX should be moved to volume only (it'd go faster that way if it only goes one chapter) and instead of adding a new manga to replace it, they should just increase the current chapters of the other mangas.

GX is a year behind the publication in the JPN V-JUMP. That's twelve chapters.

All I really can say is that sometimes it's better to be in the minority than in the majority if the minority has a series you love. (heh, I collect Law of Ueki and that isn't even on there…) So what if OP is lower than Black Cat or Rosario & Vampire...at least we have it in the US.
