Found this OP online game..
Its not rly a good one, but i thoughtw hy not posting it here for those who haven
t seen it so far. -
Just started playing Lego Batman. Fun Game. It seems all the Lego games are pretty good.
-
Cthulu Saves the World: Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha Diamond DX Plus Alpha FES HD - Premium Enhanced Game of the Year Collector's Edition (without Avatars!). It's pretty good.
-
I'm totally in Donkey Kong Country Returns at the moment …I almost got the 100% just need to beat 9-1 ... somehow this level is a bitch
Beat it … now the Mirror Mode and I really don't like that you just have 1 heart container ...
-
Just finished Super Mario Wii, think I'll save world 9 for a rainy day.
Now back to Oblivion!!! -
La Mulana for Wiiware. First Impressions hands on. It plays as good as it looks. The interface itself is alot more user friendly compared to the original PC game. There's save points, and it seems like Expud emails you advice in numerous locations(not that I can read the mails… being in Japanese and all).
The enemy balancing is noticeable. The infamous blue bats are nowhere near as fast or annoying anymore. You also start off with a decent enough speed for moving and using your weapon. I did a few puzzles and is currently looking for the Holy Grail... which isn't really a big rush this time around as you can save inside the ruins this time.
The MSX thing was replaced by software. This is going to be the hard part for me as I have no idea what they do since the text is in Japanese. I guess I'll experiment..
I'm looking forward to the US release. This could be one of the most games I played all year.
-
Played a bunch of Mass Effect 2 and while it's still awesome I like the original better. I don't know why they decided to introduce ammo into the game, it gets annoying sometimes. Plus a lot of the controls are weird, like how the use and sprint buttons are the same and I can't use a map unless I'm on my ship or the Citidel or how I can't open the upgrade or journal screens with a single button.
Still good but it would have been better if it had kept the gameplay style of the original.
-
Playing Yakuza 1 again.
-
Started Oblivion. I played it before but didn't get very far on it. It's pretty cool that you can create your own class, I made one focused on magic with stealth, blades, marksman, and various magic skills and called it a Chaotic . Can't wait to actually learn some cool spells.
-
There isn't alot of cool spells in Oblvion really. Except for regular spells with alot of spread. Those are really expensive if you want them to deal alot of damage though.
-
Played through Apidya on the Amiga and have now moved on to The Plague, also on the Amiga.
I realy love the colours on most Amiga games, even when they're ported on to another system. Like the graphics in James Pond 2 for example.
-
I polished off the Megaman Star Force series last night. Maybe it's just because I have a soft spot for stuff involving outer space, but I feel that that series gets more grief than it deserves from the fandom.
Well, anyway, Star Force 3 was the last game on the queue to replay, which means…it's time to buy a 3DS! …next weekend.
-
Alright. I made it to the Guardian of Temple of the Sun in LaMulana Wiiware. He's really tough as he's intended to be the 3rd guaridian while I skipped over the one in the Giant's section. I can knife his head, so that probally opens the possibility of a speed kill. I just need atleast 30 more Shirukens and learn the exact pattern for dodging his fireballs. He also charges at you… So I'm not entirely sure when exactly he leaves himself open for close range attacks.
This game is so fun.
Next stop is Gaint's section. I hated this place in the original, and I still hate it now. I can't wait until everything is over with there. Also... It seems like the the Temple of Sun makes the Volcano section unavailable early in the game. Before all you needed to do was flip a light-switch. Now, it seems like the platforms don't appear upon doing so.

Playing the Xbox Live Arcade version of Banjo Tooie. So far its an okay game, but it's downgrade from Banjo Kazooie. It does a lot of things right like increasing the attacks while keeping all of the old ones. But the problem is the controls and the first person shooter segments. First Person shooting just doesn't work with one joystick (with it being made for the N64) and I'm sad to see that they didn't change it too better suit the xbox controller. Also, they de-inverted the swimming, then when you use the Torpedo attack it re-inverts the controls, and its get really confusing.
-
Okay. Looks the the remake drasticly changed around the segments that required access to the backside sections of LaMulana. The game gets quite confusing here as I probably need to read what the added characters are saying. Anyway, I did manage to kill the bosses I had having trouble with. Visited the Monument of Extinction afterwards. It seems a tad bit easier due to being able to see in the dark a little bit, but alot harder thanks to the fact the the entire place is dark rather than the first half(that and the more enemies no longer glow). Decent balancing I guess.
I'm not entirely sure where to go next… the old speedrun route is now completely useless now @_@

Downgrade how? In controls, you're absolutely right, especially with the shooting and swimming points, but if you're referring to the actual gameplay, which I doubt you are, I find Tooie to be a much better game. Truly one of the better sequels out there.
-
Decided to play the old Pokemon Gold, and realized three things:
Typhlosion and Quagsire are beast.
I can't stand normal type pokemon.
I appreciate Spinarak and Soodowoodo a lot more now.Only up to Gym Leader Clair so far.
Now to get SoulSilver or HeartGold.
-
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoners (both 1 and 2).
I'm enjoying this game, Is quite different from what I'm used to.
One thing I really liked about this game is how fast it´s.
It´s not like some sluggish RPGs I've seen out there.AH !!
and Megaman X2 also.
-
Just finished Suikoden 2. Still the 2nd Best Game ever for me. Oh and I got the GOOD ending this time. Last time I accidently got someone killed lol
PS: Konami, please give us Suikoden 6 soon. Or at least Tierkries 2 (that's actually linked to the main world) or HD 3, 4 and 5. I'll be more than happy if you take focus away from making shit Metal Gear Solid games on the PSP for them.
-
I'm alternating between Half-Life 2 and Dead Rising 2. They're both good games; I just wish the time limit for DR2 wasn't so strict. The area that needs to be covered is so large (and Chuck moves so slowly, unless there's some sort of sprint command that the game hasn't mentioned) that I don't know how I'm going to find a good deal of the survivors in the time given. I had that same problem with Pikmin and (to a lesser extent) Majora's Mask. With Half-Life, I initially had no idea what I was doing or where I was supposed to go, but that's improved for the most part (admittedly, I'm still early in the game - I'm on some kind of boat at the moment).
-

For the most part the game play is about the same, not counting the swimming, flying, and first person shoot segments. Both the original and Nuts & Bolts have inverted all of the above (sans fps) but for some reason they de-inverted the controls, I'm just not sure why its not inverted.
Now the additional attacks do make the game a lot more fun. New abilities such as grabbing edges adds so much to the game-play. And splitting up the bear and bird brings so much to the table, when you're playing as Kazooie.
Kazooie gets all the of the attacks when splitting up in the beginning and has all of the agility out of the duo. Banjo even when getting new attacks is just kind of boring to play as. All of his attacks are super slow, and outside of the ability to grab edges… I feel like I'm playing... Mumbo.
Speaking of Mumbo, I was super excited to play as him! But then you find out he can only do context sensitive stuff. It works really well in the beginning, but once the worlds expand it made me groan when I saw I needed Mumbo again.
I disagree on its being an improvement. I'm enjoying the game but they added to much busy work. In the first game you find a puzzle and either you need a new move or turn into the world's animal, and you get the jiggy. But...
In Tooie, the amount of work you had to do for one Jiggy, you have to do up to three times the work. Now I'm not complaining that its more difficult, cause its not, it just feel like padding to make the game longer or busy work.
Though the inclusion of boss battles in every world is a happy addition.
-
Beat Plexu: The Time Travellers, an obscure Amiga sidescroller, and went on to Wings of Death, also on the Amiga. Had a shit ton of problems trying to finish this one, but I did.
Wasn't bad even, but acidentaly picking up a shity weapon at level 1 or a full downgrade skull when you have your weapon up to level 4 majorly sucks.

Well, yeah, you have to work more to get just one Jiggy, but I don't believe it feels like padding. It does make the game longer but to me it makes it just a bit more challenging and awarding. I'm with you on Mumbo, though - at first it was a fun little experience which pretty much satisfied our curious tastes but even by the second level it gets a bit annoying and frustrating.(Not as bad in Cloud Cuckooland though). His slow-ass pace doesn't help much, either.

Damn. Breath of Fire 3 is REALLY testing my patience. LOOOONG Load times, Not nearly enough save spots and just ridiculous enemy formation. Twice have I went through a dungeon only to be ambushed by a trio of lightning creatures who after boosting themselves can wipe out my entire party in two hits (and obviously since there's two of them..)
To which I get to go back through the boring dungeon with the loong enemy load times.
I wouldn't mind but I'm only 3 hours into the game.
-
Played a bit of BlazBlue Continuum Shift II on my brand spankin' new 3DS.
The last fighting game I really played enough to master was Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 which had really shallow controls, so going from that to the more complex BlazBlue was…a bit of a challenge, but one I'm going to do my best to meet. The sprite work, though downgraded from its HD console predecessors, looks really good and much better than Youtube videos would lead one to believe, and there are a number of tutorials to help a beginner like myself out. I'm sure the game will get much more fun once I learn the ins and outs of the controls and system.
Complaints, the volume for voices is a little too low compared to the music, fighting Unlimited Hazama is not fun at all, and who makes a handheld game these days without a built-in sleep mode?!
-
Good old Banjo-Tooie, that brings back memories =)
I just finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (well, the mainstory), but there are lots of sidequests I have to do. I really like it, but I still prefer AC2. xD
And after that I plan to replay Suikoden V. Love that game so much <3
-
Played Mass Effect 2 for quite a while today. Am going after Miranda, at least in this playthrough. Didn't know how to start a romance in the original.
-
Ocarina of Time 3D
And it's even better than the original.

Nah, dude, AC Brotherhood is just a little bit better. The MP is really fun and unique. I wish I would have bought it instead of renting it, but I'll just wait for Revelations

Played La Mulana today and defeated Viy. Holy crap this guy is hard. I had 3 HP left and decided to risk everything in one attack. With that in mind I jumped towards his eye without caring about whether or not I got hit by his laser beams. I freaking avoided it and delivered the finishing blow with the axe. Freakin epic. I never felt this way upon defeating a boss since Maleficent Dragon in KH1 the first time. And to think there are a few more tougher bosses after this.

Is that the one under the castle with Nina? I remember that. Not sure if I remember anything beyond the fire weakness and a way to cripple their attack power completely. I never played that game since I was a teen, but good luck. It sounds like the loading times may make the game unplayable for you… though the PS1 game had long load times too.
-
yeah it was the one under there. I'm up to the tourney but kinda quit on it now. The game just felt too slow. Even doing stuff like changing the text speed to fast didn't help. Was getting annoyed at having to fully heal my party after every encounter too.
-
The game is pretty slow in terms of progression. It's one of those games you'd just play without caring about finishing it as quickly as possible, because there's dungeons with puzzles(the random encounter rate is a bit annoying too), required mini games, some difficulty spikes(for first time players), and a rare distribution of MP heal items(this is to balance off the Dragon usage.)
I remember being completely stuck on this boss right after the time-skip happens and felt discouraged from playing it for 2 months.
-
Been playing Beyond Good and Evil HD for the past two days

Yeah I don't think it helps with me playing on this PSP. I probably get a good 2 hours or so worth of gameplay before having to fully charge it. And after playing a long game I do tend to find it hard to get absorbed in playing another. Sometimes takes playing 2 or 3 games before returning to the first one lol

Im playing White Knight Chronicles 2 now, a Final Fantasy 12 like RPG.
-

Is it better than White Knight Chronicles 1? I tried soooo hard to get into that but failed every time.
-
Off the the Confusion Gate in La Mulana… Hopefully I don't go insane.
edit: Wow! I didn't. The Confusion Gate is exactly the same. They removed that one nasty puzzle altogether, made a tricky one a tiny bit more trickier, they also seemed to remove that extremely random and vague window puzzle(the window is there, but it's blocked). Other than that, the atmosphere was scary, but nowhere near as scary as the original.

There are some minor changes, but the gameplay is the same, it just continues where WKC1 ended. And yes, u need some time to get the hang of it, but when u know how everything works it is kinda easy.

So I beat Sonic the Hedgehog today, wasn't as fast as people say it is but still a pretty good game.
Perhaps I'll get started on #2 tonight. -
Team Fortress 2 at the moment.
-
So I beat Sonic the Hedgehog today, wasn't as fast as people say it is but still a pretty good game.
Perhaps I'll get started on #2 tonight.Scrap Brain Zone is a bitch, though, ain't it? Even if it was tough, I actually prefer it over Labyrinth Zone.
And funny, I just beat Sonic 3 (the first part) before I read your post. -
Scrap Brain Zone never gave me too much trouble, only Labyrinth Zone on the merits of being a water level.
My favorite zone however has to be Marble Zone, with its oh so sexy remix of an Andy Williams song. -
Started on Star Ocean: First Departure today. Quite enjoying it at the moment even if it does feel like 'go to village. Look around. Go to next village.' type of game thus far.
-
Nah, dude, AC Brotherhood is just a little bit better. The MP is really fun and unique. I wish I would have bought it instead of renting it, but I'll just wait for Revelations
I wish I could play the multiplayer, but my internet connection isn't fast enough ;__;
-
I still need to play that as I only played the DeJap translation of the NES version(Star Ocean 1). Marvel was my favorite character. She's that game's Opera/Maria.
-
I'm on the final boss of Persona 4 and playing through Persona 3 FES for the PS2.
! The final boss, Izanami, is quite of a challenge, you fight her first form (Which is pretty hard) Then she transforms healing herself (Harder since I barely have any SP too really heal myself)
For the PS3, I'm trying to beat the evil story on very hard mode on inFamous 2, playing through The Sly Collection, Red Dead Redemption, and 3D Dot Heroes. -
I still need to play that as I only played the DeJap translation of the NES version(Star Ocean 1). Marvel was my favorite character. She's that game's Opera/Maria.
Dunno if I'm that far to meeting her. Only girls I know is Milley and Ilia.
Problem with this game is that I feel like I'm gonna screw myself over with ignoring the cooking, item creation system thus far. No clue what I'm doing with it.
I have very fond memories of Star Ocean 2 so I'm hoping to go onto that after the first one.
