I started reading vol 2. God it was horrible. I stopped halfway in the middle.

when is the magic element suppose to kick. All it is, is a harem manga with the main character blowing off peoples pants.

I wonder the same. Where's Eva-chan? She hasn't appeared for almost 10 chapters. Hope she makes a grand appearance in their main battle with Chao in the 3rd day which has made a start now. So next week, we get to officialy see and take a good look at either Touko's pactio card or to see what's wrong with Negi. Ever since they warped back to day 1, he's been very exhausted severely. Guess the time warp back including the mahou to break their fall when they did arrive in the 3rd day drained all his mahou.

Ya-ha!! About damn time Chisame pactio with Negi ^_^! Seems Chao is finally pulling out the big guns and Ayaka and Makie do indeed know about magic..

Too bad for them Haruna and Ku Fei shoved them out for their chance to pactio with him ^^

Just started reading the series, and up to Volume 5. I was wondering what's a good site to download/read it though? I usually get manga from stoptazmo, but their quality for Negima isn't that great

I want him to appear again, he's one of my favorite characters and (along with Kamo) the only non-female I REALLY like.

Thank you, you just made me a very happy man.^^ Damn that's Kotarou being awesome once again! TAKE THAT Inuyasha, that's what a dog/wolfboy is supposed to be!
And now I can't wait to see what Chisame will get…something computer/internet-related (would be useful), something cosplay-related (would be hilarious) or BOTH! I hope it's either the second or the third

Wait, what? Oo That's Ku Fei? Well…first - damn, no Kotarou, makes me sad.:sad:
Though Ku Fei kicking ass is almost as cool...but it really looks like Kotarou to me. Still does, even knowing it's Ku Fei. I really have to take a close look to recognize her...

One of many many others I guess?^^ Though with Chisame it's okay, lots of potential for comedy there, I can't picture her as dramatic or cute as something like the Yue/Nodoka thing or Chachamaru.

But I still want more Kotarou x Girls going on there, besides all the focus on Negi.
And what I really want is lots of female mages appearing for whatever reason and just like Negi has lots of partners, I want Kotarou to become partner for...well, lots of girls that is ;) More than anything I would like to see what Kotarou would get and what the card would look like. (That is what I want to know about almost every character...Negi too, but I'll doubt we'll ever see that)

I think Kotarou having a card would be really nice. I like those cards, cards for everyone I say.
And yes, Kaede or Chizuru would be imo most likely pairings for Kotarou, though I can see him having pactio with Mei.
Though (and I'm saying this as one who hates shounen ai, just so you know) Kotarou at some point being forced to make pactio with Negi would be one of the most hillarious things in the manga…especially because I can see how much Kotarou would HATE doing so, even if his life was in danger. And one or two girls having a nosebleed while looking at that would make it perfect.^^

OK, after looking at raws and such for a while now, I finally succumb to buying the first few volumes of this series (well OK, Sanseido only had 2-6 of the Japanese version and I still need vol. 1). And while the series has its faults (what manga or anime doesn't), I do admire Akamatsu for creating an interesting cast of characters and trying to mishmash so many genres..with a lot of cute girls to boot :p (then again, my favorite of the whole class is Chisame…if it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have given the series a second look) Like Kubo, though, he seems to focus on some of the many characters that he creates and not others....but at least he's trying as hard as possible to get as many girls as possible the focus.

As of this week's new chapter, it was the final chapter for "Term 1" where Summer Vacation Begins

Looks like Akamatsu is pulling a Term 2-Off to Wales, England. And we know so far, there are five coming with Negi, but others coming with him are still unconfirmed.

I'll be looking forward to Negima Term 2 when he's over from his break, other than thatm this chapter was great,

Asuna's feelings for Negi are triggering and that tentacle thing Haruna did with her Pactio kind of freaked me out.

-Possible: Konoka (wherever one of them goes…), Kazumi (only if there's a scoop there, but so far nothing that would lead her to come with), Evangeline (may have interest but nothing said yet), Ku Fei/Kaede (known warriors who have worked with Negi, but no real reason to go), Ayaka (she's a stalker, you know it, I know it, and she has money to satisfy her shota needs), Chisame (the only Pactio girl not connected so far...and I doubt she'll come unless Negi summons her)

That can happen, I mean its not a matter of time until more people find out, and they might take this as a field trip or something.

But I agree, unless said so, I dont think Akamatsu would plan on bringing everyone with Negi. I'd say the possible people go into the category.

Akamatsu will be on a break so we might as well make a few predictions/speculations like
~Will we run into more of the Old Crimson Wing like that guy with that long sword and that young kid.
~It'd be funny if Ayaka did come and meet up with Nekane, "No! He's my little brother, my Negi-sensei XD!"
~Negi will probably go visit his Grandfather, in fact, maybe a Crimson Wing Flashback can happen, especially one that explains the key events that led to the Crimson Wing's disbandment.
~If Eva did come also, I wonder if her reputation is more wild in Wales than it is in Japan? Me, I think way more, that's where she caused most trouble.

Anya being in Tokyo was a shocking revelation, but my problem is that there are now essentially two groups going to Wales…and I don't know how Ayaka's "group" is going to be of any help after they were "owned" by the uberness of the group that got in training at Eva's resort. (dang I hate that place...Toriyama's "Room of Space and Time"'s got nothing on this shonen place)
