High chance that it was a mistake.
UNDEAD UNLUCK

This week the anime was great the first half, and then dragged too much the second half.
-
I don't remember how Top was able to stop beforehand, but whatever.
-
He had to break a bone to stop. He just broke his arm each time like it was nothing.
-
I have the impression Beast really didn't know that not all UMAs have a corresponding negator.
-
This battle hurts because I don't want animals to get hurt!
-
GOD is a dick

It's funny that on the world where people actually believe in evolution, the truth is creationism.
I don't know if there's still anime onlys visiting, but whatever
-
I was half correct in guessing War. I just thought it would be V instead of VI.
Also I'm intrigued by VII. It's Time related for sure but there has to be a twist. You'd expect Time to be one the first master rules if not the first one.
If it's Time I will expect some explanation.
-
I kinda want to throw David Attenborough at this guy.
-
Shame the Union doesn't have time travel as an option or they could throw Teddy Roosevelt at him.

I think Age will just be a part of change, as will gender (as we know that wasn't always there back when it was just Victor and Juiz). So I'm not really sure what Time would do to stand out.

lol. Or maybe a tag team of Teddy Roosevelt and Steve Irwin.
-
7 could be UMA Past. Juiz participated on the capture that one last loop, so it's consistent with Unjustice being a hard counter to the 10 master rules. It also makes sense that the reward was Rebellion, as it must have been a major fight. And since Beast didn't mention it, I guess his role must be more technical. Past might be responsible for rules being retroactive to all non negators, which doesn't affect humanity as a whole but does make negators clueless about the rules, which is a disadvantage.
-
Good point. UMA Past does sound more fitting than just UMA Time.
-
So, will Fuuko be able to see or even control her own soul chains to choose the unluck? Did those guys live a normal life this loop? Will this become haki, and everything becomes a fight of who's soul is stronger? Also, poor whale.
-
That first point could be something actually. If her Unluck works by attaching soul chains to people she likes, then if she cuts them before the unluck kicks in does that cancel her unluck curse? And is this a thing of all external negator types? It's interesting.
I don't think we're getting a Haki situation with this, but the negator abilities do suddenly give me Devil Fruit vibes. If the theory that Devil Fruits actually house souls and when you eat one the soul of that Devil Fruit enters you and that's how you get your power, then is it the case that the negation ability is actually a soul that fuses with your own soul and persits after death, finding a new soul to inhabit every time? Would explain why only one person can have each ability at a time.
-
It was obvious that the abilities needed to be expanded after they had trouble with Sick who was one of the weakest. It also gives an insight and some lore on how the world works.
-
I just realised two things from this reveal. Gonna spoiler just in case an anime only viewer wonders in (given the first point is a big spoiler)

The comparison that is always made is souls as vessels. The soul can hold a negation ability. UMAs use that term al the time.
More specific examples to work on the details

I only had one reaction to this chapter: DON'T SHOOT THE WHALE!!!
-
Call it a hunch, but I think we've gone full Avatar here.
-
That is the thing, everyone kept assuming god was all powerful and the master rules commanded the world, but it means that the world is not set up for that, but god makes it seem that way because it is convenient for him. Only a handful, (untouch, maybe unfeel, untell, unsleep, unluck, unhealthy) of negator abilities are truly awful, most of them are a mild annoyance that would be handled correctly if their tragedy was prevented, think more cyclops than rogue. This was the theme of the whole loop, these cursed bodies weren’t as cursed as they seemed.
The inheritance rules were still set by god or Luna as a game.
-
This whole loop has been about flipping the script, ever since Fuuko pointed out that most of the UMA's that get added to the world are actually kinda harmless. They only go on the offensive if a mission concerning them pops-up. Without that, Ghost and the seasons actually don't really do a lot.
While I still think God/Luna are the ones causing these powers to activate at the worst possible time, the fact the previous users get to decide who takes over their role when they die explains a lot (like Fuuko pointed out) and also explains why Unjustice and Undead never discovered this (because they've been the only users of these powers this whole time).
-
The thing is, whatever causes the tragedies, every piece of evidence so far points them to be a near constant:
-The slave buyers comment how Negators don't tend to live long.
-Fuko committed suicide on every loop so far.
-All the stuff we see happening on loop 100 and nearly happening on loop 101.
-Extras making hypothesis of how Top's stopping Unstoppable might have been to keep running until he dies if his interpretation was slightly different.
-Unknown acting as a trap to a quest reward.
So it still creates a dissonance when the spirits go "we knew we made a good choice", since that make still made Fuko lose her parents and kill a whole plane worth of people. -
This is getting me all confuzzled . . .
-
The loops were a trap in a way since the two people who kept looping were the only two to never have a successor. That meant they never realized/understood the soul abilities.
-
On the other hand, Remember was available at loops 100 and 101 for a pseudo succession line effect. Plus Soul Caliber and Game of Death were likely created to train humans on soul manipulation.
-
So is Language a Negator or an Uma? It says Negator, but there's no "un" on her title.
-

Uma. The one being referred to as a negator on the last page was Ichico.
-
We finally see Nico vs. Language.
-
I wonder if this is when Nico's negation ability will activate? In the past loop it activated when he watched Ichico die. I wonder if that will happen again (but thanks to her strong control over soul powers we'll find out later that she actually survived or was able to come back to live like how Fuuko did).
-
It's going to be shiritori, isn' it?. Also hard confirmation that non negators can sit at the table, which was probably handy during the first iterations before Death and Justice became master rules.
-
The Oldest Game with shiritori rules in multiple languages. Expected but still cool.
-
As someone who's studied language and loves word games (I miss Boggle . . .), all I can say is that shiritori is harder than it looks. The more words you know, the harder it can actually be b/c you start getting lost in the dictionary in your head. The English language alone can have from 500,000 to ONE MILLION words in it, depending all on how much you include slang/jargon and old words. The average adult is said to know/use around at least 3,000. And language is ever-evolving.
Then we get into fucking characters and that's, well, another whole bucket of fish. This game however seems to be completely on phonetics.
-
Finally Feng's return. At least this time he might be happy since he'll fight dragons and other crazy shits.
-
Baby boy is here. Time for this fight to get even better.

@fana
"You mean I just need to fight whatever she throws at me until Fuuko comes here (to fight me)?"
