All seats called. 14 over Macron's, 39 over Le Pen. The United Front soundly won this one.

@Nilitch
I don't assume political positions taken from a channel called tldr news to be taken serious. But than again, there's a 40 years crusade on part of the media to call anything outside of center right as radical far left with utopian dreams. -

Hey @Kdom I've been hearing that Macron is ignoring the elections results and governing like his coalition still had majority.
-
@pariston_hill Marcom strikes again
-
@pariston_hill
Well he can do it since the NFP (left coalition) is very far from the majority even if they arrived first.
They couldn't elect their candidate for the Assembly presidency for example.
But Macron cannot have a majority with his group and the right party either.
If you want to play: https://www.lemonde.fr/les-decodeurs/article/2024/07/09/construisez-votre-majorite-absolue-a-l-assemblee-nationale-avec-notre-simulateur-de-coalition_6248225_4355770.htmlMacron coalition and LFI both do not want to work together since Macron believes French wants to have a right side politic.
For me, even if that can be true on some social topic like immigration or security, French have voted NFP and RN because they disagree with Macron economic choices but he does not seem to understand that. -
@Kdom so basically back to square one
-
Feel bad for my European fam. Anyone living in Paris please report bad actors to the police if possible
-
@pariston_hill WTF
-
The olympic games have ended. Those were 2 beautiful weeks to live in Paris. I'm happy all those who have predicted they would suck have been proved wrong.
Now it's back to reality. France is such a weird country :-)
-
@Kdom I swear people abused the word weird to mean pedophilia and bestiality no thanks to that one American party that starts with the letter R and ends in con!
-
Well shit

Macron chose Michel Barbier from LR as prime minister.
Need to add that my gut feeling of Macron Hinderburg'ing himself might pay good dividends in 2027. -
So @Kdom which are the prospects for the next 2 years of Macron paving way for Le Pen or someone equally horrible from LR?
-
@pariston_hill Next year, Macron makes another dissolution and Bardella is prime minister with a 2/3d majority
-
@Kdom
Looking like this, I don't think what you describe will be necessary
