So this thing has just been announced today.
Not much information on what kind of card game will be in the video though. It's pretty much just a teaser. Thought I'd share for anyone interested in it.

Sandman posted on tt a translation of a note Oda made in regard of said game, there's not much but apparently it will play with Augmented Reality and it's gona use the illustrations of the manga (in opposition to the ones made by the anime team).
Oh really? I didn't see any thread on it. Sorry.
apparently it will play with Augmented Reality
Oda added a footnote that it won't play in AR as he found out afterwards
Oh, there you go. Nice to make a thread of it, I don’t think we had one until now. There’s a card image of Yamato ongoing around and it’s pretty stylized to say the least. Totally different of Oda’s style, but I liked it.
Card in question:
Official website says that the design of the cards is not final and might change in the final product.
Here is Oda's message with the official translation from the website:
Oda like me only saw Yu-Gi-Oh thorugh the anime and was a bit flabbergasted when discovered that the real cards did not had such amazing visual effects. can relate.
I ain't buying if they use Zolo.
Luffy, Zoro and Sabo seems to have the same function (I believe I can read "Leader" in the video), and Law seems to be a different type of card (color change, and the hexagon is ticked in a different box)
Cool that they are bringing Crocodile and Kaido upfront. The art is cool, eager to see some more of it.
Better look at the card with the text description box of the card's effect. There's also a new illustration for Luffy.
!
The fact cards don't seem to have one art style but equally take from manga, anime, digital colored manga kinda trigger me
SAME
God, that anime colored, washed up Jinbe made me groan in pain

Don't forget original illustration.

Exactly, as much as the Brook in the other photos.
@All:
Don't forget original illustration.
That should be the right path: if you want to make an official cardgame for OP's anniversary/100 volumes/1000 chapters etc etc you should definitely go for whole new illustrations.

Yeah, that's pretty much a fanmade approach they are doing here. Just use any artwork available and ignore consistency. Yet antoher sad display about how little effort companies put into creating stuff based on the source material. It's just the "One Piece is a big name so of course it will sell" approach over and over again. It's sickening.

Yeah, also not a fan of not having a consistent form of media to be used for the cards. Feels very lazy.
A lot of new cards from official Twitter account!!
That Pacifista image looks like the Attack on Titan Rumbling. Still not a fan of using different art styles though.
One Piece seems to be doing pretty well, wasn’t release yet so I guessing they are pre release sales/super release sales.
I know all the card shops around me sold though there initial orders and are trying to get more but there distributors are all out.
Just learn the distributor for a lot of card shops in my area thought it was a great idea to under order the upcoming One Piece card set and they are already getting all the calls and complaints from the card game shop owners…
