@Shiebs I have! I liked them all, but Tress and Yumi were my favorites. Sunlit was great as well, but not as strong, and the Handbook was an OK story that was truly elevated by the premium hardcover and the extra content in the margins. They really made my year.
I agree on those rankings, I throughly enjoyed them all, can’t wait to see more of the Cosmere
I would love if he does more one shot planets like these
I totally agree. I think Brandon is really good when just getting to tell stories and craft worlds around them on the fly. My favorite singular story of his is still probably Sixth of the Dusk because of how perfectly the story of the world informs the story of the characters.
I'm not sure if that's actually going to happen given the schedule he outlined in the State of the Sanderson and other previous comments recently. These were able to happen because Covid gave him more free time since he wasn't attending public events. I don't expect that to happen again anytime soon.
He still manages to find time to do random YA novels inbetween projects. Reckoners and Skyward just sort of happened inbetween things... but given he's already planning to alternate Mistborn era 3 with Elantris, and started giving those side projects over more to co-authors... I won't be surprised if he has a random surprise novel or two at some point in the next few years, something he just sort of fits into the margins with an hour here or there inbetween stuff.
But it also sounds like he's decided he has to dig in full time on Cosmere now to try and get some real progress on it since he's still not even halfway (even if the secret projects add to the total) and needs another ~20 years to get through it.

Though with his most recent SotS it sounds like Dragonsteel and Aether have been pushed to the "less important and I'll maybe do them someday" pile rather than a required part of things. THose were always going to be way down the line anyway but... it may just be more of a "the next five years are booked with Elantris, Mistborn 3, and Stormlight 6, and there's not much point planning beyond those."
