It was strange, in spite of ourselves, a beautiful camaraderie had started to develop between us, and so we all decided to take the rightward exit. Either that, or there was a severe lack of trust… but we decided to stay positive. The path was a relatively narrow tunnel of sorts, not narrow enough to be uncomfortable, just wide enough that at least walking was not an issue. The sides were lined with wet moss, perhaps water used to flow down this path not too long ago. As soon as we stepped into the tunnel, spikes flew in from all directions skewering poor Buggy into a artsy logo of a sheesh kebab restaurant. His head turned like a haunted dolls.

Buggy: Hmmm… oi guys, be careful!

This path is filled with traps. As you move through the tunnel, you will automatically encounter them. Traps will need different skills to overcome.

You must decide among yourselves who will attempt to disengage the trap. This person will then message me in their personal thread. I will communicate the results, and they will announce it here.

If that person disengages the trap, you will all pass through unharmed. 
If they do not, you will all be subjected to a perception check, if one or more falls below the threshold, the lowest will die and lose.

Moving in you encounter your first trap. A contraption to the right looks like the control to the trap, it needs craft to operate. Decide among yourselves who is going to operate it.

Actually, we know that attempted killing gives off strange vibes like successful killing does. So it does stand to reason that attempted following and successful following both give strange vibes.(But it's weird that attempted theft on the other hand was specifically said to have kept your grace). Lingering for this long feels odd, but neither you nor I did anything these past two nights that should've sent out strange vibes.

Shouldn't Hannyabal's gem trickery have involved some stealth though?

It was probably meant as a moral quandary if we had split into smaller groups where maybe both/all players would be lacking the necessary stat, and because of small group size, the saboteur would probably be safe from lynches.

I honestly believe we've eliminated the players with rogue-like tendencies, and, as cheesy as it sounds, that we can use the power of teamwork to solve any upcoming challenges. I've been able to sleep soundly through the night now twice! Because we all stuck together, I think each stat can be found at a high level in at least 2 people* stats, so even if someone fails to disengage a trap, a second person probably would be able to.

If someone sabotages it, they're likely to lie and said they failed to disengage it.

They can make it seem like it was just luck that got them through.

Although I do believe what you said about us eliminating any backstabbers in our midst. So with that being said, I will let everyone attempt to craft the quartz into a lens if we agree to give it to the player with the lowest perception. Especially if any player has 1 perception, which would make survival impossible if we failed to disable a trap.

Also unless our player with the highest athletics already has a 5, I'll lend them my ivy gloves.

How stupid would it look if this fails?? Actually I am going to try doing it.

Monet fumbles and drops the piece of pure quartz while trying to hand it over to Batman. As a reflex, she immediately goes to pick it back up again, not realizing that Batman had done the same. As they both reach out for it, their hands touch and they pull back…

They immediately turn around with a look of embarrassment on their faces at what just happened. They stay like that for a moment, occasionally sneaking little peaks at each other. Finally, Batman finds the courage to pick it up.

Based on the way Batman suggested his perception was quite low, I'm assuming Hannyabal has the highest score with 4.
