Is this a "ruh-roh, Shaggy" moment?
The Promised Neverland

-
It is announced that Demizu Posuka (illustrator) going to appear in upcoming episode of Mandou Kobayashi (Japanese TV program by Kendou Kobayashi (famous Japanese comedian who is famous for manga/anime lover)). Person with helmet is Posuka.
-
Posuka seems to be female. Did we know that?
-
Decent enough scan, no crazy swearing is out
! WOW THIS A GAME CHANGER. THAT MAN!
-
Unexpected how thorough it was, but sort of a Jaya Arc moment in this manga, pretty much pulled back the curtain on a lot of hazy details and gave the scope of the world.
Think I like this approach better than what the manga has been up to this point. Moving towards a more directly confrontational humans/demons thing will help break the whole "escape here, have problems, escape here" pattern.
-
Well, now we know how Emma's going to get the little kids out of Gracefield House.
Also, did that color spread seem to indicate a new Mama at the house?
-
That Man…Why is his name still being kept a secret in such an unnatural way? Lol.

That Mama had a a different hair colour and cut. Plus I'm sure the demons were not to happy about the previous Mama ( did she had a name? ) failure.Btw, was it just me or this blonde dude looks like Norman?
Possible family relation? -
Discovering this old elevator as the transporter to the human world felt like reading an adventure from the 80s, lol.
-
That Man…Why is his name still being kept a secret in such an unnatural way? Lol.
I bet his name is something really lame like Patrick or Bob.
-
-
Watch it be something like Cornelius.
Btw, was it just me or this blonde dude looks like Norman?
Possible family relation?Who can say? Being blonde doesn't make you family, and we've only really seen the bottom half of his face so far.
-

We do see his face in full and that's why I mentioned Norman, he looks like a grown up version of him, not just because he's blonde.
Altough this is a manga where blonde characters are as rare as in real-life Japan, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is a hint.I didn't went back and compare styles, regarding Norman or how the artist drew Lucas and THAT MAN!! while they're younger, so the resemblance may not hold under a microscope but it would/could support the theory that Norman is still alive.

A good theory. Although I have trouble believing that a clan would give up one of their own kids to be food.
-
Phil will have found the secret pathway to the human world, when the whole gang comes back to grace field^^

Well the Mama's did. It's not so far fetched. I'm wondering though how they got pregnant. Are there breeding males kept somewhere like cattle too? Or is it just artificial insemination?
-
I doubt that Shueisha would have allowed them to make "Stalion Humans".
But there's the mass production farms that definitelly have to inseminate them.
But on the other hand, if they are going all the way for the high grade humans to be "all natural", that would give the incentive for them to make the Mothers do it.
Aplying the logistics of cattle and free range cattle to human beings makes me feel gross.

If he's the child or descendent of the "traitor" James Ratri I could imagine it happening. Being part of some deal with the demons, if they found out about his plans, you know? "Your leader tried to kill us, give us his child to raise while you sort youtself out and we keep the peace."
Again, I haven't bothered to check back, to when they talk about dates, so it's very possible that the facts don't align and this is just random speculation.

A Mama is a livestock child from the beginning though.
And it could easily be artificial insemination, but they have to get the sperm from somewhere.

Oh, man, this chapter…
That's heartbreaking. I really hope that Emma doesn't find out who Adam really is... she would lose her mind.
-
It's always a fucking family member.
-
Are they the same person, though? He is missing the neck tattoo.
Maybe Adam is someone who met Norman and keeps repeating the number on his neck because that got carved in his mind.
-
Maybe the kids are clones?
And keeping with the wonderful paralels with the meat industry, Adam seems like a Norman filled up with steroids and growth hormones.
-
That surname..in Hindu mythology Ratri was the goddess of night and in many languages in present days the word is used to simply mean 'night'.I myself use it in daily basis.
-
Was Norman's number 22194? I forgot those numbers were still relevant.

Based on the interview from Neverland's editor, it looks like we're around 50% mark of the story now. So, I guess this series may going to end around 2020 if this turned out to be true.
-
What? Already?!
I guess it's for the best. This could end as a second Assassination Classroom.
-
While it is sad that it will end sooner than latter, it is for the best for these kind of stories. Between the escape and until the hunting grounds I've felt the chapters more boring, mother was more menacing than hunt dogs, "that guy" and lewis.

Noooooooooo!!!!
Dammit.
-
Maybe I’ve just been listening to Oda’s editors and stuff too much, namely about how One Piece’s progress seems to keep on changing. Therefore I’ll take this one with a pinch of salt.
-
You can never be sure when a manga is going to end, be it from editors, illness, or re-writes. Silver Spoon had to be put on hold b/c a family member of the author got sick. Hell, how long have we been waiting for HxH to finish?
-
Hmmm always figured this would be a longer runner but Im curious how they handle it because escaping will be a huge trouble and its not like they (especially emma) would just chill and forget the kids they left so I figured we would see some of the conflict post return to the human side
-
Well, Emma has sworn to rescue the little kids, and if there's a road back to the human world at the farms then hey, two birds with one stone.
-
Theirs a huge chunk of story on how human society would not necessarily want them back due to them endangering the truce, and demon civilization still not fully explored.
-
We've still got two years, if what they say is true, so that's another 100 chapters give or take a few. It seems like a lot, but as we shounen readers know that can actually not cover a lot story-wise. However this series has been pretty good at getting a lot out of one chapter. We'll just have to see.
-
He said 50% story wise.
That may not necessarily mean we only have 73 chapters remaining. If he wants to flesh out certain aspects, he'll probably write more chapters. The manga is successful enough for Shirai to have room for that.
-
Yah, this only confirms that the manga WILL end on the will of the author, as it is both short and successful.
-
It being planned to the end and more important sticking to that plan, was something a lot of series missed and so got worse and worse.
I really enjoy this manga and it being tightly finished in a reasonably 150-200 chapters seems like still enough content to be satisfied without it dragging on later in the story for money reasons. -

I second that. There's still a lot to cover before ending this manga, and it will take some time before finishing it. I will give this manga 18 volumes max 20.
-
While I refuse to estimate exactly many volumes this series has left - I don't think any author can gauge that particularly accurately, you need the creative freedom to keep that flexible - I will say I never saw this being a particularly long series and always viewed it as something like AssClass in length.
-
Oh, this was never going to be another Trinity manga, I just expected/hoped it would last more than 2 years.
-
<speaking straight="" out="" of="" my="" ass="">The thing is that 100 chapter manga feel complete, while 200 chapter don't, is like sleep cycles.</speaking>
-
https://readms.net/r/neverland/074/4886/1
That was disturbing.
-
That chapter felt really short. But uhhh. How is that guy still alive?
-
I dunno. But I still say he's on a stud farm.
-
So Norman was at least able to create a "message in a bottle" with Adam.
-
Seeing Norman return after so long is okay I guess, but I'd much rather get back to some juicy Lewis v. Emma conflict.
-
And if Norman is Adam? Definitely seems like some genetic manipulation is going on there.
