I searched for a thread for this, and could not find one (if I missed it I feel silly). Anyone else here watching this show? Because if you aren't, you should definitely give it a try because it is amazing. The first season is streaming on Amazon Prime and the second season is airing on USA network.

Thanks to Imgur I began to watch it last year, and it's really fantastic, currently my favourite show. I also managed to make some friends watch it, they are all crazy about it now.
Even some teachers in my university talk about it when trying to teach us how reality is affected by the digital era and stuff.
-
Yay, I was starting to think that nobody on this forum other than me had seen it. :)
-
Mr Robot was one of my favourite new shows from 2015, currently on the 4th episode of S2.
-
Maybe cos I didn't pay 100% attention during season 1, but there are times when I have no idea what's going on, truly. There's an asian lady (but who looks like a man) and I've no idea who she is.
Still dig it though. Episode 6 is awesome.

There were times while watching Mr. Robot where I got completely annoyed by the main character's confusing mental state and I didn't know what was what, but the plot and surrounding characters made up for it. With that being said the main character IS still the most interesting character in the story but sometimes he can be grating on the nerves and with how he acts that's not surprising.Anyway, I just started season 2 and it really is a great show. The most accurate attempt at portraying hacking I've seen and a great premise.

oh,didn't notice there's a thread now.i thought of making a thread in the beginning of the s02 premiere, but then thought it would already exist if there were people interested.
Mr robot is my favourite show out of all the shows i have watched ever. It's got great story-telling,great characters, and probably the best portrayal of hacking in any visual media(or any entertainment media at all).
Acting is incredible, the writing is also great. It's awesome.everyone should at least give it a try.
i also think Elliot is the most relatable character to me.i sympathize with him,i empathize with him,i sometimes admire him and other times criticize him.
Also,Rami Malek has just won the Emmy for his lead role as Elliot, beating even the likes of kevin spacey and others.i think it should also have won best writing for a drama(for the first episode) or the main "best drama" award itself, but well i'll take what i'll get and at least it got nominated.also, his acceptance speech is great! -
I was thinking about creating this thread for a while now!
Season finale comes out in a couple of days.Rami Malek won an Emmy yesterday. :D

Season 2 spoilers!
! The character you are talking about is White Rose, leader of the Dark Army and Minister of China (male alter). He incarnates the notion of chronophobia, the fear of time.

The season 2 finale was excellent.
...
Now we wait.
-
I just love this :)
-
Does anyone know where I can find the last episode online? The wait is killing me…
-
I just finished up Season 2.
! I wonder if they'll go ahead and go with blowing up the building. I love how the show creators aren't just making our protagonists out to be heroes. Sure, they're heroes for some and villains for others. They're showing the damage their hack has done not just to the rich and fortune 500 companies but the everyday man and woman too. It sure does seem like the majority of the public is on their side though. Besides the issues with the trash pickup, not being able to get money from the bank, the blackouts, and probably a tough as nails job and housing market at least the assholes at the top are getting screwed with…
! Ok, so maybe everything about their plan wasn't as thoroughly planned out but no one said it was going to be a walk in the park for everybody. I think they thought their "revolution" was going to be glorious. Rather than messy, conflicting, hard, and...deadly.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

If it's not up somewhere yet IDK.

If it's not up somewhere yet IDK.
I had watched it by that point, but for some reason I thought that there was a 13th episode to the season…
-
Oh good, people are starting to catch up. XD
That was quite crazy finale.
I actually really love exactly the kind of character that Elliot is and I find it completely fascinating.
-
The 3rd season was amazing, and to me Mr. Robot reaffirms its position as one of the best TV shows ever made. It's a shame it didn't receive the praise it deserved. No major Emmy nominations this year…
Anyway, we can find consolation in a recent announcement: Mr. Robot is getting a prequel comic!
"It’ll center around a prequel story by series creator Sam Esmail, with scripts from series writer Jeff McKibben and some help from writer and Black Mask founder Matteo Pizzolo. Art duties will be handled by Antonio Fuso and colorist Tyler Boss.
[…]
[It] will document the formation of the mysterious group known as fsociety."More news will be revealed during the SDCC, in two days.
If by chance some members are reading this and have no clue what Mr. Robot is: please give it at try. It is television at its best.

No Emmys this year?? Unbelievable. I guess there is so much competition now.
Wonder if Rami Malek being Freddie Mercury will bring a little more attention to the show. ;)

I don't know if it's even about the competition. I like to think Emmy awards are less corrupt than the Oscars… but Stranger Things and Game of Thrones for outstanding dramas? For their latest seasons? I'd understand if all the other shows nominated were brilliant, and surely some are (I hear The Americans is an amazing show; also, Westworld is definitely interesting, but not as good as Mr. Robot in my opinion), but it isn't the case sadly.
I would be willing to accept being biased, or not seeing the good in Stranger Things season 2, or the flaws in Mr Robot season 3, if the Emmys didn't have this tendency to leave out some of the best shows out there. The Leftovers has never. been. nominated. Twin Peaks was not nominated in 2017 while the terrible season of House of Cards was.
And while sometimes talented individuals get what they deserve (Rami's best actor award, for instance), every year it feels like the big hits get the big awards (which reminds me of another award ceremony that ends with -mmy…).I hope, CosmicDebris, that Rami Malek rocks that roll. He is a phenomenal actor. I also want for the movie itself to be good, to not stain his name despite his performance!
What did you think of Mr Robot season 3? How do you rank it compared to the previous ones? -
It's hard to say since I've watched all the seasons so far apart, but I felt like they have all been equally good.
-
Game of thrones was way worse than season 3 of Mr. Robot for example. After the dip in season 2, season 3 came back in full force with some amazing writing and as always fantastic editing and directing and no nominations? Get out here.
Also have to agree on house of fucking cards, wich dropped significantly in quality in latest seasons, getting nominated over shows like The leftovers for example was just sad.
-
It is now official. Season 4 will be the last season of Mr. Robot.
Date of release: 2019 (12 episodes)

I saw…I'm a little sad, but if that's what the plan was from the get go, then I'm confident it will end the way the story needs to. Some stories are best not being dragged out.
-
4 huh? I remember hearing multiple times that he had 5 seasons planned in total, but as long as the quality from season 3 stays and the series finds a good conclusion I don‘t mind 4 being the last. That we have to wait till 2019 is a bummer though.
Although series taking longer than a year, especially ones I really like is becoming more common anyway, lol.

Finally got around to watching this and holy shit, it was a ride. Definitely one of the best shows i ever watched.

I agree, fantastic story the whole way through.
-
This was a special series. I didn't know it existed until it's 2nd season. I love when everyone is hooked on GoT/Vikings or comic book adaptations and this kind of story gets told. It's why I enjoy Lovecraft Country.

Yep. I was a huge fan of the first three seasons, yet for some reason i put off watching the last one for almost a year now. And to be honest, there were times in those seasons in which some things were introduced, stated or shown that hardly made any sense but still fit the atmosphere of the show, the last season actually managed to tie everything together almost seamlessly in a way you hardly see.anywhere else.
