Aaaagh ….. Messi what were you doing. Argentina played greatly for a team that might as well didn't have Messi, especially Zabaleta and Romero. It feels like Argentina's attackers just weren't at full strength: Messi disappointed (considering his expectations), Higuain wasn't present for most of it and Aguero wasn't all that.
Germany definitely deserved that, but if Messi was playing like he does for Barcelona it would've been a whole other story. -

Most argentinian football players act like that; they want the first place, nothing else. I'm used to see them doing things like that, like receiving silver medals and just rejecting it immediately.
Also, Robben couldn't play well in important matches, like against Costa Rica and Argentina. He didn't deserve it aswell. I would totally agree if Schweinsteiger or Mascherano or James Rodriguez won it.

I guess people are complaining about the fact that he didn't truly carried his team as expected, so it doesn't make sense for him to win that award. He played well, though, many of the goals Argentina scored during the World Cup had his presence in some way, but he didn't shine in the finals.

The criteria is pathetic. It isn´t even age, it´s the date.
Only players born after Jan. 1st 1993 can win it.
Basically you can have two players with the same age, one eligible to win the award, while the other isn´t.
Only Fifa to allow such a pathetic criteria. -
Great game by both teams. So glad that Germany won. Sad for Argentina but Germany knows how that feels after their 0-2 lose agaisnt Brasil n 2002. Or at least Klose could still remember it as the oldest member of the Mannschaft. And I'm really happy that he got both the highest Wm goal scorer as well as the title in what could have been his last tournament. Klose-fan since 2002! :D
