Yep, the art is really beautiful. In the 8 chapters i read, there were so many incredible panels.
Btw, i forgot to mention it earlier, Innocent´s mangaka is also the one who drew and wrote Kokou no Hito.

I'm working on translating volume 2 now. It took a month before I was able to get a raw, but I have time to work on it now. Volume 3 comes out at the end of December, by the way. The manga's at like chapter 30 in Young Jump.
Also, anyone reading this thread should read the author's previous work, Kokou no Hito. That's my favorite manga of all time.

Why do all the guys look like girls? Like seriously? WTF! It's disturbing! I love the art but if only the young guys looked like GUYS it would be better!!!!!!!!
I liked koku no hito,this guy's art is incredibly detailed.However I have read the first chapter of this manga and the subject didn't captivate me so much.I would like to know are the next chapters still about his upbringing?Or does he reach adulthood quickly and starts performing executions(or assisting his father)?

I read the series up to the current chapters and I really like the way it's going. The plot opens up and gets deeper, but it maintains that sort of tragic/insanity theme. It's dramatic but at the same time kind of hilarious in how bizarre it gets. So much fun.

Marie-Joseph is a freakin' cool character. I love how insane yet serious this manga is. I can't describe properly it at all. Such a weird experience.

I spent the last few hours reading Aku no Hana and need a short break from reading for a bit, but this is awesome news nonetheless. Thanks for your work. I'll make sure to read all of it once I catch some sleep.

I really like this serie. The protagonist is such an interesting character. With all the cruelty and betrayal around him, he doesn't lose control over him, keeps focused and works for his objective to get rid of all executions. … Looking forward to read the 4th volume.
Saw this image on the Shonen Jump TOC thread and instantly got interested even though Never heard of Innocent before.
And, man, I loved it! Too bad the chapters go by so quickly and before I could notice the 3 translated volumes are over - and I am DYING to read the 4th already!
Oh well, until the next volume is released, at least I noticed how similar Innocent's art looked to "that manga I once saw an image of and wanted to read, but never got its name". Now I know it is Kokou no Hito and am going to it right now
Btw, out of curiosity, I saw Innocent is always in the last place of Young Jump TOC. Could it be it is not pleasing the readers or is it placed there on purpose (similarly to Jaguar in Shonen Jump)?

In Jaguar case, it was just to end the Shonen Jump with a light tone, I heard.
I don't know about Innocent, that's why I was asking.
If I was to guess, maybe it could have to do with homossexuality? Young Jump seems to rely a LOT on the sexuality of its readers, its covers are always full of girls in swimsuits, so maybe they thought most of its readers could not receive Innocent well and placing it in the end of the magazine would be a way of saying "ok, you know it is there at the end of the magazine. If you don't want to see it, simply avoid it". Just guessing.
I had absolutely no idea that he's doing Innocent digitally. And based on his instagram he's playing it safe, smart, and quick by using hair stamps to save a bunch of time. Genius.

A lot of authors use tablets as opposed to paper and pen. But yeah, this sorta manga would be impossible to do weekly that way.
I dunno why it's usually last in the TOC. The thing is seinen magazines don't put heavy emphasis on that sorta thing. It got some minor awards.
Also, this is unrelated, but they're making a digital version of Kokou no Hito sometime soon, according to the author's Twitter. It's probably just gonna be more or less the same thing as before though. Sometimes the covers are slightly different and the color pages are restored in those.

It's really awesome. More great characters and artwork that stem from some level of historical basis.
Volume 6 is out in Japan now. We're gonna try to get it done sooner this time. Maybe we'll even do it before Volume 7.
