This thread is devoted to one of the best parts of PC gaming; the modding community. It never ceases to amaze me what fans can do to some of these games and it is something I long wish to see on consoles cause it literally adds limitless replayability to your game library. Share videos, articles, the mods themselves and of course discuss. I'll get the ball rolling with one of the games that has truly gotten modded the hell out to epic proportions: Grand Theft Auto IV.

Consoles have actually gone back a step since we at least had a form of it with Gameshark and Codebreaker. These days, people would call 'bullcrap' on it with consoles due to the wonder of "achievements".

I really like what Robby's done with the place, a regular Gorbachev whose programs of Openess and Restructuring have benefited us all, swept out the bad posters, and made things great for you and me.

I've never really gotten into installing mods for my games. If I do it's typically just a graphics mod. But now that I look at the OP, I actually did that with GTAIV. It's just a matter of changing a couple numbers in a file. It's actually pretty hilarious.
I also have a first person mod for GTAIV which makes it look sort of like you're playing Mirror's Edge. You can even drive cars in first person, though the interiors are typically ugly as they weren't meant to be seen like that. That is unless you install some car mods, you can put pretty much any cars you want into the game. I did it for a while but I forgot to change the settings for them so they control right, so I took them out. I'll go ahead and post a few screenshots of some car mods, first person, and graphics.

Graphics/First person (I don't actually have any that show Niko's body in first person, just some of me walking around so I'll include them here)

Edit: And the thing is, GTAIV isn't even an especially modder friendly game. There are tons of entire overhaul mods for HL/HL2 (Counterstrike, which started as a mod for HL, is still one of the most played games on Steam so much time later), the Stalker games, Max Payne 1 and 2, Arma 2 (Day Z for one, which is becoming a standalone game soon), Mount and Blade (LotR mod, Mount and Musket which was released as an addon called Napoleonic Wars recently), etc.

I'm gonna dedicate this post to the hilarious brilliance of wilsonso and the great things he's done to Resident Evil 5.
