Disappointed by this group. Croatia definitely played better games than Italy and Spain, and Spain's goal was questionably offsides. Italy was easily the third best team in this group.

Series? The tournament is in groups stages still, so no team has been eliminated. Well now a few of them have since the final round of group stages is almost finished, last day tomorrow! After that it's knock outs, one game win or loose.

I actually feel bad for Croatia. They made both Spain and Italy look like noobs! I guess it would make the jobs much easier for teams trying to win against these two teams, all they gotta do is just watch the Croatia games to see what they did. Slaven Bilic is actually a damn smart ass

We played much better in the second half, that's for sure.
too many nervous moments and not enough possession in the first for my liking.I was pleased to see Rooney get his goal, but i do think we were lucky that the officials didn't see the Ukraine goal.
(although we were denied a blatant penalty, so i guess it evens out)
It would have liked for us to score some more (we certainly had some chances and attacking breakaways in the second half),
but i guess we'll take what we can get.Overall i'm happy with the result.

Protugal's impressive performance came against a Dutch team chasing goals (even after they'd drawn first blood) leaving acres of space in an already weak defence for Portugal's speedy wingers to exploit. The Czech team will surely not afford them that much space. And as much as I want England to win, I think the three man Italian defence is highly suited for their two strikers up top formation. They also don't have a natural player in the side to pick Pirlo, unless Rooney plays deeper than he did today, and leaving Pirlo free to ping balls to the wingbacks (who have been very impressive) and Cassano (who has also been outstanding) is a recipe for disaster. Also, Italy vs Germany will be very very interesting. -

And we did win against Denmark, and they're not famous for their weak defending.
