The Russian Football Union actually sent a message out to their fans who have travelled to Poland and Ukraine to support their team, requesting that they would stop starting fights and doing stupid things because they're tarnishing the reputation of Russian football. So yeah, at least some Russian fans are assholes. :P

I think the Croats played well until they made their third goal, and then they hit the brakes. The last twenty-five minutes were pretty boring, but seeing how I decided to side with Croatia after all, I'm pretty satisfied. This was by far the best day of the tournament so far.

No way are they going to beat Italy and Spain. In my opinion Ireland's out. Croatia did a good job today and they might have a chance to beat Italy.
But the game sure got brutal at the end.

Cheering for my home country Spain! I was kind of disappointed by todays game though. I was anxious to see Mario Balotelli and wasn't surprised with how he played. Fernando Torres let me down so much. He was terrible during the World Cup and they should keep him off the field and play David Silva more.

Vicente Del Bosque is an assclown. What will it take for him to play the right Fernando? Having said that, the Italians played really well and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I'll club them with Russia as the dark horses for the tournament, after favourites Germany, Spain, France and the Dutch (though those guys shot themselves in the foot massively yesterday).

Oh well, this match is more entertaining than I thought, good first half.

Decent first half. Both some good and shoddy football by both England and France. More-so England. They had some good moments but I feel like outside of the goal they were mainly playing defense the entirety of the half. Whenever they gained possession France promptly took it back.
Hopefully both bring their best in the second half.

I thought it the exact opposite!Anyway, as for Ukraine v Sweden. I'm partial to Sweden as was really happy for a moment there, then Ukraine responded incredibly quickly.

Ugh. This game started out so good, but this second half has been a mess (for Sweden) also I'm getting tired off the Ukraine footballers getting "hurt" at every turn.
I'm probably just bitter that Sweden is losing.

I think we watched a very different match.
The first half was fantastic, but the second was…ugh. Once Sweden got their goal its like they stopped playing. All competitive energy was gone.
I'm honestly surprised the Ukraine didn't score more goals; it took Sweden's all to muster something that looked remotely like defense.

I was hoping to see the rest of Sweden/Ukraine but right when I turned on my TV the final whistle blew. Cannot wait for my Japanese final so then I can watch some FOOTBALL

Sweden-Ukraine was an amazing game. Back and forth the entire time with both sides getting tons of chances.
Also I'm convinced that France outplayed England earlier today. Anything could happen, but the French showed better tactics and a more sustained attack.

I'm very pleasantly surprised with England. And I've said that only once before in my twelve years of following them (the 5-1 in Munich, in case you were wondering). Apart from Milner, I think everyone acquitted themselves very well. Young and Welbeck did well with the meager service they got. Welbeck was very impressive with his movement and was a constant thorn in the French defence. For France, Nasri was pretty impressive, Malouda extremely average, Ribery disappointing and Cabaye was a cynical thug. I hated the licence he got from the ref to foul so frequently. Apart from the final 15 minutes in the first half, the English kept their defensive shape very well. With Sweden being this bad and Rooney back for the Ukraine game, I think England have a fair chance of qualifying top of the group and avoiding Spain in the quarters.
And finally, Sheva! What a fairytale!
