Like I said in one of my earlier posts, you have to turn down the volume during the original performance and place your own on top of that at a louder volume. For sound effects, I just used some I recorded off the show and some from Findsounds.com. I used GoldWave to rip the original audio and used it for the mixing and used VirtualDub to "dub" over the original audio with the edited .WAV.

Yeah haha that was our first dub EVER! Since then we've made like 15+ more.
I should rerelease them, I'd need a big host though.
I'm currently working on a little scene from Episode 82 with Wapol and Dalton, it's coming along quite nicely, I hope to distribute that throughout the One Piece community.

@warp: I've been voice acting for a Ghostbusters fan cartoon for about a year now. I play Bill Murray's character, Peter. It's nothing too exciting as he's extremely laid-back and mellow. (Not to mention until recently my mic was having horrible feedback problems.)

Guys it don't matter if your voice isn't high or deep enough just try your best then I can use an audio editor to make it defferent and for lines just watch a sub and pull a line off it

I have a working microphone right next to me. If you wish for me to help, I will be glad to do ANY voice for this fandub. Just tell me what to say, and unless it's a filler, I should know how to do the character's voice. (Btw, I've only seen short clips of the Japanese anime, and no fillers, but I'm caught up in the manga) I'll try my best.
But of course, it would be hard for you to decide which character I should be if you have never heard my voice. I'll attach a file if you want me to.

You should team up with this guy. He already has a few raws handy plus he has "experiance in projects like this" so maybe he knows how to do music and sfx. Plus maybe you can make an agreement with Kaizoku to use there subs in exchange of using the name Kaizokou-Fandubs to give them more attention (like they need it).
Also, how serious will this project be? Like 1 episode a year or 1 a month? -

Well two a month is 24 episodes a year. That's not a lot. I was thinking more like four a month where certain charcters start at different times. (ex: after Captain Morgan arc Koby, Helmeppo, and Morgan go on to do the Kobymeppo ministory. That way once other characters catch up it won't be a huge hassle to get all the voices done plus those three charcters can take a long time to do that instead of just a week or two. I think the best way to use this strategy is to start Kuro the same time you start Morgan and start Baratie the same time you introduce Usopp and Chopper starting when the rest of the crew hits Baroque Works. Of course Luffy would quite literally never get a break (except in mid Arabasta but…).

I wrote a script for episode 1. It was originally something I made for my "what the dub shold've been scripts so there's a bit of Americanization in there (but I went through it and put back all the "samas" and "sans" and added "nakamas" since this was before Kaizokou used that word.) but later scripts (episode 3 and up) will be closer to the original (unless people like this). Um how should put this up?

Trust though if you haven't seen the Arlong arc I really don't want to ruin this for you, but at the ne after Arlong falls Luffy yells a reallllllllllllllllly touching "Nammmmmmmmmmmmmi! You are my nakama!" And that just really wouldn't be the same without "nakama" plus the fact nakama is really untranslatable (Viz uses shipmate and before episode 38 Kaizokou uses comrade).

I should've been more clear on that. What I meant was that I was interested in doing Doflamingo's voice if need be but when you said that guy was doing a couple of voices, I wasn't sure that was a role amongst them.
I'd be glad to post clip of my Doflamingo voice if and when I get time but it all hinges on whether not I can fit this in with school tying down my schedule or not. Plus right now, I'm still trying to practice getting him down perfectly.

I hope you do but I really don't have the call. Um dialogue wise the episode ends when Luffy says "just because" then it goes to a shot of Zoro with some heavy metal music then it cuts to what they use to use instead of "to be continued" (I'm pretty sure that's what it says in Japanese. They begin using "to be continued" on episode 3). Points to who can find a picture.
