waves hand
Chill out dudes, it was just that I had other projects to voice for as I had a two hour long recording session. Morgan is my SUPER deep voice while smoker and crocodile i can do in my sleep. My BIGGEST concern is having Morgan and Crocodile sound too similar as they're in the same range.

Just an update for ya!
I finally worked out enough time to start dubbing episode two as Morgan but I couldn't finish the set as the voice is very straining on my cords. I was physically tired after I recorded the part where he says that a title is everything in the world. I'll try to finish as soon as I can.
Sorry for the huge delay.

RE: One Piece Fandub
I can but there are two things standinding in your way from the "perfect" file.
1. A few hours after I recorded the file I think I caught a head cold today as my nose is stuffing up and my throat is a bit soar. Doing a voice like Crocodile's which strains the cords (essentially that's how deep I can go without killing myself) is not good for my health in it's present condition.
2. Also, I will warn you about my acting policy as there is something about the clip that will violate it if you will. Due to my own personal code of conduct I abosultly refuse to curse. To me, a swear word is anything that gets beeped by the censors so words like damn, crap, bastard, ass, asshole, hell ect. are all ok with me. But given the unique way Sanji greets people with his Den Den Mushi that is such a word I would not like to say. If I were to do the clip I would subsitute the word for something, hopefully this will be ok for you.

RE: One Piece Fandub
I'm back folks. Didya miss me. Wow, looks like there's been a lot of developments going on here but I gotta get something off my chest.
Buuhan misread my IM as he got the impression that I felt overwhelmed which is not true. I only said that I couldn't play both Sanji and Usopp if I ever got the roles (which I highly doubt getting the later) essentially I used the same voice for them so my unwillingness to voice those two were cause of my VOICE not my workload.
First off I'm happy to play all these characters (and I totally understand me not being Kuro in the future no biggie) Hell, I'll take some side roles and I'm still looking more characters I can voice. Lack of auditions = original cast filling in the blanks. I have yet to decide on a good Morgan voice as I want to use something similar to Crocodile but the voices suit both characters extreamly well. If I get a chance I'll send some more clips (might even make a quick improve skit involving all of my characters so you can hear them at the same time)
I'm still hammering things out. I got a new Kuro voice I'd like to try out and I've been playing around with my Mr. 3 character as well. Sanji has undergone a serious change as well thanks to the feedback. Smoker and Kurobi are still the same. Also I'm looking into Mr. 4 as well.
Here's some advice Buuhan, if you want more auditions then it's a good idea to show some test clips of your mixing skills first. I really hate to sound mean but as of right now it looks like I'm doing all the "dubbing" here. If you really want to establish yourself as the producer who can handle such a project then post a few clips of your own. Grab a few voice actors and work a quick scene out. Show us all that you can do this and put our concerns to rest.
Like I said, I'm thirlled to be here and I'll do the best I can in making this dub be the best it can but you gotta show us something guys. We're all waiting.

Look Buuhan, you're not gonna get anywhere just waiting for all the VAs you need for episode 1. If you want to actually get some work done then I HIGHLY suggest following my plan and just do short clips from the show. By doing so we can have all the big name characters out in the open and have the cool scenes that really matter get dubbed.

RE: If Kuro had trained…
Uh guys there's one detail that you overlooked that could end the whole luck vs skill debate with Kuro.
Remember in the episode the viewer gets to "see" how fast Kuro is moving as he speeds along the walls using Shakshi. In my opinion Luffy didn't see Kuro as say a swordfighter sees an oncoming blow. Instead, Kuro made a careless mistake that gave his position away to be caught.
As he ran along the walls, Kuro let his arms hang too low and his claws scraped along the sides of the mountain leaving behind HUGE gash marks. This was an image that they were trying to point out since we got a nice close up shot of this. Kuro left behind a lot of these marks and Luffy was able to see those and thus he caught Kuro.
