@Femme:
Oh I 100% agree with you, but for a movie based off a book I really loved, it didn't disappoint me, which has happened with far too many book-to-movie films. They cut out a LOT (so many awesome games in the battle room D:) but the movie actually worked despite all they cut out. I pictured the battleroom to look more.. TRON-y, and it was much better than that. I would've loved for them to give Bean a little more focus, but I loved Alai and Petra, and their pick for Bonzo was a good choice. Only thing I wish they could've made room for was a little more glory for the Dragon Army, all those scenes where their battles just keep win-win-winning, and the scoreboard in the lunch room is all like WHAT NOW, Dragon Army 20-0.
They also cut out all the politics going on with Valentine and Peter, which I didn't mind cuz I was never into that aspect of this series.
What really made the movie work was the lead actor. He did a phenomenal job and yeah, they didn't stray away from the book too much though they cut alot out.
I liked the politics in the book though because it kept Ender's siblings in the picture so they weren't forgotten. Also the idea of kids controlling the discussion and agendas of global politics through blogs on the internet was pretty cool. Yeah, it sucked though that the movie took out a lot of the battle room scenes. I guess the movie would have beem too long with all of them in.
There is one thing I'm glad the movie omitted tbough.

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Head to your nearest library and pick up "Ender's Shadow". DO IT. DO IT NOWWWWWwwwwwwwww.
It's not a sequel, it's a parallel companion book to Ender's Game. Basically, the events of Ender's Game through Bean's eyes. It's incredible.
B-But it's 1 o'clock in the morning!
@Demon:
This is the best day ever. I had such a long day, but such an absolutely wonderful day it's not even funny.
I've been neglecting my copy of Pokemon X. I haven't even beaten the Elite Four yet. So I played some tonight and I Caught Xerneas on my FIRST TRY with my FIRST Ultra Ball! I didn't even need to throw a second one. I just threw the first and caught it like a boss.
Oh, also, this little thing happened where I got a promotion at work. I'm kindof sortof a supervisor now. That's kinda cool I guess.
But I caught a freaking XERNEAS!! With ONE ULTRA BALL!!
Such an awesome day.
At least you have your priorities straight. :p
