The chapter itself is good, but I was expecting more stuff about his childhood and how he got sunshine… At least it covered Escanor´s sin, being too arrogant to realize that dying would waste his savior sacrifice, but on the other hand, the crimes that Lyoness´s judge was about to hang him for were pretty weak. I mean, harming the captain f the holy knights and insulting the king, it doesn´t really compare to burning the fairy forest or killing the princess of the kingdom.
It was better than Diane´s sin chapters, but it doesn´t really compare to Ban or Gowther´s ones.

I'm starting to think that if they do kill the Demon King then the Head Goddess will show up. That's a pretty big power imbalance. Yeah Mel would probably be defacto leader but he has no interest Wars or whatever.

Coolest design so far, but I hope he stays down after this one. Also, it seems like a bad idea to use earth and plants as a body, when the queen of giants and the king of fairies are among your opponents, but he must be pretty desesperate.

The saddest thing is that in purgatory the Demon King was actually an imposing and legitimate threat. I have no idea why Nakaba decided to make him a joke. It is like he just got bored on his own story and decided to sabotage it for reasons unknown.

Remember that there were only Mel and Ban in Purgatory plus Hawk's bro instead of all of the seven of them.
And one of them just had the counter for the Ruler ability.

The Demon King was not at full power in purgatory either. Having all the commandments and a youthful body should have been more than enough to even the scales. But no matter what he did after that he was just a glorified punching bag making his whole struggle for a new body totally pointless.

Really they could pf just made his miniona stronger so that until now nothing was doing anything to him and it would have worked better. Or even the im not even at 10% full power BS would have been better
