Just got up to date, am I the only one who loved how Ban got stronger? I was so sad he went from being so powerful to like the weakest of the seven deadly sins, then he went to purgatory and his body adapted to the environment after centuries of torment and is now probably one of if not the strongest of the sins

Ban's powerups related to him "giving up" stuff, the inmortality potion, inmortality itself, his power sharing. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave up his treasure long ago for something.

I mean one is still trying to be positive about the condition and quality that Soma is in so the poster can just ignore peoples problem with the SDS just like with Soma.

Apples and oranges. Nanatsu no Taizai stayed consistent and loyal to its premise to the end. The other? Not so much.
Which is why I find it an exaggeration to condemn the whole product because of "not what I had in my mind". Like they say, keep your expectations always low and you'll never be disappointed.
But this kind of stuff is found even in the series this forum is mainly dedicated to, so I cannot say this shocks me.

The last two volume were 9 chapters long, with chapter 308 there will be 6 chapters without a volume. So volume 38 could be the last.
But then again, the only source for the ending is an interview from Nakaba last year where he said he planned to finish the series in around 40 volumes by august this year.
As there was no official announcement from Weekly Shonen, we are basically in an quantum uncertainty about when will it end.

I still think there's going to be one final plot twist. One that involves the Supreme Deity, and by extension, Elizabeth.

you must dislike 90% of the shonen mangas if you think Nanatsu is awefull. Yes the end is sooner than one could expect but most of the plot threads have been properly resolved. I'm waiting to see how Arthur plot will end though, if there is no sequel, that would be disappointed indeed.
Anyway, Lord Monkey D sounds quite a masochist since he continues to read Souma so I don't understand why he dislikes the fact that the anime will have a bad studio. -

Well can’t say I enjoyed the mess that Naruto became, the train crash that was Bleach and Fairy Tail, although I was never really invested on them. 20th Century Boy and Billy Bat have great build up to end in a whimper, I don’t believe that we will ever have a a satisfactory ending for Berserk, Vagabond is in hiatus limbo, HxH ended at chapter 339 and every thing else is a bonus. Marry Grave got axed.
Maybe I’m just being to negative.

Whether is satisfactory or not depends on each one. But man… I feel you. I would recommend you some good stuff with a satisfactory conclusion, but maybe you already read that.
