I've only read 1 chapter but this is PRECISELY the kind of new shounen I want more of. It's a shame that I am not a sports manga fan because Murata does gorgeous art. In Murata's defence I am the biggest Toriyama fan I know irl but no matter how I try I cannot get into Dr. Slump (partly because the lack of scans lol) Thus I am really glad I can get properly into a Murata manga this time.

I wasn't a fan of sports manga either. But Eyeshield 21 is still one of my top favorites..Made me even like football more. Murata is the type of artist I could only hope to be.

More like you'd be looking at the actual incoming events. Murata's basically redrawing the comic so if you look at the later chapters, you'll most likely be spoiled.

LOL it's exactly the SAME stuff but now we have amazing art. And it's good to know that we have at least material for 87 chapters!
It's strange I could get back into Eyeshield 21 if I really wanted to, except I wouldn't be interested in the details such as how American Football works, it would be more about the interaction of characters and the flow of the game. I might give it another go once I have caught up to Magi and completed Majin Tantei lol

This is a very fun series. I love the concept of a hero who doesn't let enemies shout out what attacks they are gonna use and blabber on endlessly about their tragic childhood. "Summarize it in 10 words or less!" Instead, one-punch to the skull, that's it!

I admire you… I'm not anywhere near the shape to do 100 pushups and situps ;~; I just started working out a few days ago. If it wasn't for Hajime No Ippo, One-Punch Man might have inspired me to get in shape by itself lol.
I can't believe how satisfied I am by this manga just 11 chapters in though. Concept goes a long way! And the killer spreads and art...

Start with 5 a day and add 1 each day after until you get to 100. It's a real thing. Except it's 5 pushups 5 pull ups and 5 lunges with each leg 
Yeah, I had a look too and it seems this can all be used as a tiny set up for the actual story. Cool stuff. Spoiler: we haven't seen a glimpse of the characters to come yet, lol.
Goodness. So far this comic is like… wow. This is exactly the kind of serious humor that I aspire to.

I decided to check out this series today because I had heard some good things about it and damn son, it is awesome. The humor is very spot-on, with good art and an interesting concept. I was concerned that the one-punch schtick might grow stale too quickly, but the series is carrying itself along very nicely. Definitely going to be following this one regularly. It's a blast.

I worry that the gags will become stale and that there are only a few ways for the main character (and therefore, maybe, the plot) to progress. But I guess Kenshin did a good job with an inherently overwhelmingly powerful main character.
Obligatory I love the humor and the art is fantastic, because it really is. I could read just pages of baldie punching people&critters into gutsprays.

The art is amazing and it is entertaining, but, for me, that's about it. I feel absolutely no attachment to this manga or its characters whatsoever.
Still enjoyable, yeah, but nothing else.
I think Murata should be using his extremely big talent on more ambitious stuff.

It is remarkable how natural it looks compared to most other shounen authors draw "fights" (aka…Kubo and Kishi's incomprehensible battle scenes. Sometimes I can't even tell what I'm looking at, but these few pages really demonstrates how Murata's talent).

to be fair, the scanlation team is not "scanlating" it because being this a web-comic, they just have to edit the pics translating the balloons. But they are doing a great job none the less.
They only sad thing in being so quick is that they almost reached the original, so in a little while we'll have to wait a lot more for new chapters

Right, I got a bit confused there.. thanks. I read the web comic, pretty awesome, we got lots to come - either way, then there's 3 more chapters of simple translation, followed by - monthly? - scanlation, based on 70 more chapters so far.

You've seen the manga then and not the web comic, check the post above, and you'll see the difference xD
they wouldn't get those pics, you'll understand once you see it.
I can't navigate Japanese sites. I just want to see one image of the original web comic.
I think there's been a misunderstanding. the new version drawn by Murata is also a web comic. So he was saying that there is no actuall scanning or cleaning of pages. Just erasing Japanese text, translating, and pasting English text. And that's why the scanlation team has been so quick about it.
