Thought I'd make a thread about TERA and see if anyone else plays it, especially now that it's f2p. My main's name is Halcynth on Mt. Tyrannus server. Only level 26 at the moment.

all that ever needs to be said about TERA.

a bunch of neko lolis?

Yes, the Elins are a bit of a running joke in TERA. As well as people trolling about Alienware in area chats. I'm a priest so if anyone does ever want to start out, I wouldn't mind helping you out a bit, I'm bored most of the time and actually enjoy helping new people, even though I'm not that high of a level myself.

I bought this game the moment it came out, but like all new P2P MMOs, it began to dwindle in population.
Maybe I'll give it another try now that it's F2P.

One of my friends made a video showing the game. What I like about it is its emphais on action, and that was kind of something that kept me away from MMOs(most of them have really terrible combat systems when it comes to hit detection, animations and physics). I'm still not going to to play an MMO ever agian(too time consuming, and my real life is busy enough), but the combat system does look amazing.

Well you could start by modifying the first post and tell us more about the game. For example post a few links, talk about the in-game situation, the community etc. Is it possible to reach a high level without investing money in the game or is there some sort of itemshop offering different advantages in exchange for cash?
Stuff like that.

Combat is it's greatest strength, definitely. Most of the other systems are squarely in the WoW/Rift/etc. vein, but that's not really a problem. The part I like the most is that they've made a pretty gorgeous world that's highly varied, so unlike, say, Guild Wars 2, which recycles the same types of environments though often in interesting ways, there are some high-level areas that look completely different from anything preceding.
I play it twice a week with my brothers just so we can do something together sporadically, and it's good fun.

And in response to that last question, the F2P model (I bought it for cheap right before the turn, so I've seen both sides) is extremely reasonable. Very little Pay-to-Win, very few restrictions on gameplay.

Eh, there wasn't a thread and I just wanted to see if there was anyone else who played on here. I'd be more then willing to edit the first post if someone wanted to help me make it prettier. As far as the cash thing, buying points on there can give you some things like exp boosters and mounts, and outfits, but it's not necessary at all to be high caliber on there.

I want to try it out,now that it's free to play, but everytime I try to make an account I get this: "Failed to generate fraud prevention signature." and can't find out what it means…

Try it on different browsers. Just read a little and sounds like it might be problems in ad-blocking or javascript.
