Are you splitting the party or sticking together to hit both sides? If you split up you should have more than enough time to make a couple passes at the right hallway. Toss your tankiness character in their with all the defensive buffs you can manage and a ranged weapon equipped to pick off a few ninjas, then pull back and heal. Dunno how many of your girls have the defense to pull that though, especially since you need a tank to survive the wombo combo on the other side.

Just beat chapter 17 Conquest lunatic and Conquest ia actually makes that chapter more tolerable because if they had Birthright/Revelation ia would literally be full of kamikaze ninjas with the combo of poison strike and grisly wound, ugh. My lunatic Effie has only 10 speed and 14 skill as a general lol.
-
Are you splitting the party
Is that even doable with a regular team? 0_0

Effie is the only one that can pull this off (I usually pair her off with a low priority unit to avoid dual strikes). I think I should use her to kill the Master of Arms in the center of the hallway, because using someone else just makes them a target for Spy Shurikens.
I really need more Entrap/Freeze. With the staff I have now, I entrap one guy on the left to break the formation, and then I use the other charge to entrap a three-ranged guy on the right. Maybe I should save both charges for the right…..because Enfeeble is not helping me. It doesn't lower the damage from Poison Strike/Grisly Wound, which always kills even the tankiest unit when it stacks.

I mean, that's how I did it on Hard. Don't remember the exact configuration but I had a pair of medium/heavy tanks, a Rally Defense, and 1-2 healers on each side. The narrow passageways kind of limit the effectiveness of a large group anyway.

It's all about the counterkills. Inch her towards the edge of the danger zone until some ninjas move forward to attack. The pillar in the middle impedes their movement too so it's not too hard to move back mostly out of range and heal up, and the ninjas reset their position too - very annoying but also less risky to you. After you bait them out a second time their numbers should be somewhat manageable.

I kept everyone together on my first run, but I definitely have to do it here. Effie/Camilla are the only two that a) do not get one-shotted or doubled and b) can shrug off most damage. You breathe in Elise/Felicia/Flora/Midori/Nyx's direction and they drop like rocks.

Ah right, they have no means to heal themselves (plus I have Physic). Luckily the right side is free of lungers.
-
Ooooh yeah that could be a problem. What about Sophie, Soleil, or Velouria? Someone in there's got to be able to take a hit. I'm guessing Beruka's too slow and Selena has just the wrong balance of stats.
-
What about Sophie
Equpping her with a Javelin lowers her speed enough to get doubled, but not if she picks the right pair-up partner, like uhhh Azura.
Soleil
In Heaven.
Velouria
I actually always just have her dragging around, so maybe I should use her a little more. She has no ranged option, but she can at least switch to a stone that prevents her from getting doubled.
I'm guessing Beruka's too slow
Even as a Dread Fighter, yep.
Selena has just the wrong balance of stats.
Also in Heaven with Peri and Soliel.

Have this ever happened to any of you? [hide][/hide]

Honestly, Effie deserves all the food in the world, she just carries everyone in her back.

LOL. I love Awkward Zombie. And yes, it has happened to me.

Tsk tsk.
Takumi's wall chapter does that to people. #MakeHoshidoGreatAgain
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Finally, chapter 25 is done. Took Jabberwok's advice and had Effie soak most of the damage via Javelin. Because the enemies were so aggressive, I was able to clear them out before even getting to Kagero (Mozu utterly shreked her). After that, Kamui ran to safety while Effie took down Ryoma with a Swordcatcher.
Chapter 26 I messed up the beginning and lost Sophie, but once a path was made the heroes were cake. Ophelia got Entraped and killed, but Anna/Beruka took down most of the sorcerers on the right.
For the main event, I had Kamui (+Effie) and Camilla (+Beruka) tank the Generals with effective weapons, then I switched to Beruka for le axe spitter against the Bersekers. Lost Nina to a stray crit, but thanks to a clever Nyx warp positioning, Hans was toast. His goons got picked off, and then the maids.
Iago was a breeze because Elise landed a Silence. Unfortunately, I got cocky and underestimated the Stoneborn, losing more units (I wanted the treasure), so it's a reset for me. Looking it up, it's a Spy Shuriken, which I really don't need.....maybe.
Also no one can use Bifrost, which sucks.
-
SMH for skirmishes being harder than birthright chapters, not only the enemies have better stats than the ones from the main campaigns ones, having skills and staffs. Did a skirmish with two hexing rod users had to cheese my way out lol, and was just doing this, not for the experience but for my ultimate plan for my lunatic rev. run, it's gonna be glorious.

Happy to be of service. Never forget, the best counter to a flock of ninjas is to be so damn tanky you give zero fucks.Though I have to say, your cavalier attitude about the deaths of all these kids scares me a bit.

Attempting Ryoma's and Takumi's maps so many times can do that to a guy. Sometimes you gotta accept the loss and keep going.
Then there's Endgame, which will be a very interesting battle indeed. I want to keep Nina alive so Shurikenbreaker can be put to good use.
-
Is there a way to give skills from other classes to generics like inspiration to a general?

Aaaand chapter 26 is done, although sadly, Azura and Sophie didn't make it through thanks to Hans blocking my path (wonky positioning to move Nyx to kill him). I might just to go to 27, since invasion #3 seems almost impossible with my team.
-
So reached "what the fox say" in lunatic with a stat screwed Effie so don't have someone able to use the beast killer on this chapter. T_T In lunatic there's a lot more foxes with pass.
-
My strat on Hard was to pair Beruka up and use her as some nice shiny bait to get the Kitsunes to swarm her. That might be harder on Lunatic though- maybe with Physic support?
-

My Beruka is a dread fighter lol so no lances, I might change Xander to a wyvern lord just for this chapter but need to do a paralogue first since I want Sol on him.
-
Chapter 27 was cake, although it took a while to get around the soldiers. Furthermore, considering 90% of the team got one-shotted against the boss, it had to be Kamui +Effie pairup. Luckily her Draconic Hex nerfed the speed enough so she could double.
Endgame…..wooof. I got to the boss, but it was literally only Kamui and Effie. Everyone died horribly, and I was trying to clear a path. It's clear Mozu, Nyx, Effie, and Kamui are the ones that can really take this, so I have to focus on keeping all of them alive. Anna with Pass will help me a lot, although I crave Freeze and Rescue.
It was hard enough in my regular run :/

I can see Kamui and Effie having post-war traumatic disorder after everything you made them pass through.

This run was literally Effie Emblem.
Tanking counter archers, slaughtering kitsune, one-shotting master ninjas…Effie is proof armored knights don't have to suck.
-
Decided to continue where I left off on binding blade and did 20B, other than the bolting assholes one-shothing cath, wasn't too hard, but I do wonder how a castle in day light has a fog of war, have everyone on my team promoted except Fir, I thing I can still salvage her, kinda.
There was a sage with a red gem and an archer with a promotion item (to late for me now) how the hell can you get to then? -
I think someone mentions that the lights are all out. To get the drop items you need a warp staff, but you might be able to lure then into range and then snipe with a longbow.
-
Sorry in advance for the foul language.
Binding Blade chapter 21:! WHAT IN THE ACTUALLY FUCK IS WITH THESE FUCKING REINFORCEMENTS THAT DON'T STOP SHOWING UP, JESUS CHRIST. Sorry but holy shit what the hell, these guys just don't stop showing up, and of all the things it's fucking wyvern riders, every time I end the turn show even more reinforcements(to make things worse is in a game with same turn reinforcements UGHH).
-
God fucking dammit, this Iago chapter is just killing me.
-
The struggle is real.
-
Finished binding blade, same turn reinforcements aside, I liked the game, Roy wasn't that bad for me granted, all the boots, body rings and energy rings went to him lol and it was on normal so his bases will probably hurt him a lot more on hard, and his late promotion won't help him at all until he gets the sword of seals, that sword is more busted than the Omega chainsaw.
Speaking of fates screw Siegbert paralogue on Lunatic, that chapter is the one that realy makes you hate ninjas not chapter 17.
Oh heah the wind tribe chapter has an hexing rod in Lunatic.
-
Restarted Prepromotes Lunatic for Revelations, only this time I made the avatar a swordsmaster. Other fun reclassing includes Wyvern Lord Gunter, Berserker Camilla, and of course, the Maid Brigade - I'm circumventing the rules a little to use Sakura/Elise with Felicia/Flora to be the heal squad as all maids. Sugoi desu.
Shura is going to stay the same for that unlock niche, unsure if I want to reclass Reina, and I miiiight make Ryoma or Xander a Vanguard. Currently I'm up to chapter 16, where I was before I erased my file like an idiot.
Also finally I'll get to use Grandmaster for Leo. Fun times!
-
Meta please please please make Xander a Lodestar for a bit. Speedtaker makes him so good and he looks amazing in the outfit!
-

Agreed, seeing Xander of all people doubling ninjas is great.
Edit: Oh god! everyone and their mother has lunge in Takumi Wall chapter in lunatic.
-
FINALLY I cleared chapter 17. Now the only prepromotes missing are Flora and Fuga. Also caved and bought the Heirs of Fate DLC. The first map recycled Birthright 25, but I really loved how you started with few resources and gradually get more from enemy drops. It reminds me of a GBA hack.
Meta please please please make Xander a Lodestar for a bit. Speedtaker makes him so good and he looks amazing in the outfit!
I shall, but I must clear Before Awakening first. All of the enemies are promoted….so this is gonna be hard. (Ryoma's a Vanguard now)
Edit: Oh god! everyone and their mother has lunge in Takumi Wall chapter in lunatic.
Conquest Lunatic wants to make you suffer.
-
And to think that back in the day, people were complaining that removing Weapon Durability would not make this game hard.
And there is not even Lunatic+.
-
Aarrgh, Before Awakening is driving me crazy. Frederick can survive just fine, hell he one-shots some enemies. Chrom has just enough speed to get doubled by the ninjas and he's NOT as tanky, and Lissa gets two-shotted no matter what. Then you have the stupid lunge+poison strike chains.
Meanwhile, Xander and Ryoma always face shaky RNG to attack them at range. I guess it's a matter of rolling the dice.
-
throws 3DS against wall ARGH. I just cannot beat this Iago chapter. How did you guys do it!?
I don't want to grind some of these units, but I may have to. Although shit, some are maxed already!!
-
What do you mean by grinding? Like, children Paralogues? I wouldn't feel any shame using those to pick up a little extra experience; nearly all my characters were maxed or 18/19 going into Chapter 27.
If it's the last room you're having trouble with, most strategies involve either Freezing Hans while you tank through all the enemies or baiting them and pulling back to a safer distance. People have managed it splitting their forces at the end or having them all paired up in one corridor. Either way, you'll need to have dedicated healers and ralliers in addition to passive buffs.
Iago himself shouldn't be too much trouble. He moves through a rotation in his staffholery and tends to target the same few units, so you should be able to anticipate his targets somewhat.
-
I'm 10 chapters into Conquest and I'm already using the Boo Camp DLC to grind my characters.
Also, I'm playing on casual because I have no self-respect

I'm talking about using Boo Camp, which I unashamedly have used to grind before.
But no, not Iago himself. I'm pretty sure if I CAN get to him I have units with high enough Speed/Res to take him. It's getting past the FUCKING BERSERKERS/GENERALS period to get to him. I've tried baiting them to pull them back but it hasn't worked, and the one time I tried Leeroy-Jenkins it in there it was a bust. I've split my team every time down the corridors, but maybe now I've just got to pair everyone and go down one or the other.

I played on casual too and lost no sleep over it if I played on hard I'd probably drive myself up the wall like
Satsuki. -

of Peri.See, I'm not willing to sacrifice anybody.
sigh So I grinded the lower-level units. Hopefully this little shove will help me. I really wish Benny had a higher Strength, because another General would be nice. He has 31 Def, but only 21 Strength. It's so sad. At least I have Ignatius.
-
Damn, Satsuki, your Benny's somehow underleveled AND RNG-screwed. Benny as a Knight/General should have 60/75% Str/Def growth rates.
-
See, I'm not willing to sacrifice anybody.
Sacrificing Peri wasn't apart of the stratagem after three failed attempts at the map all I was trying to do was finish up. Carmilla though nearly bit the dust on the same attempt which would've led to a restart since I actually liked her unlike Peri.
-
Welp. I did the Revelations sneak chapter the proper way out of boredom, and I was dumb enough to not use a sacrificial ninja to open the doors, so RIP Shura. With Jakob having speed troubles and Reina slipping, this run has become "Royal Emblem ft. Fuga and the Avatar".
But no, not Iago himself. I'm pretty sure if I CAN get to him I have units with high enough Speed/Res to take him. It's getting past the FUCKING BERSERKERS/GENERALS period to get to him. Here's my tip - keep everyone together and only go through the right side. Sorcerers are easier to beat then Faceless with sealing skills and Stoneborn that can one-shot your team.
Anyways, the berserker/general gauntlet is really really tough, arguably the hardest part of the chapter. Approaching from the right makes it so that the generals attack first, so give an Armorslayer/Hammer to your strongest party members. For extra security, pair the attackers up. This gives them boosts, spawns the gauge to protect them, and prevents dual strikes - which WILL happen because some of them carry Spears.
The freeze maid should be silenced, but it's not a dealbreaker if you can't. Have two ranged units behind these attacks to do chip damage if needed, and you probably will, considering Wary Fighter.
The berserkers are just nasty, especially the one with a Brave Axe. They can also crit at range, so it comes down to pure luck and good timing with the shield gauges. Refrain from using low-luck attackers to chip, and if you can't, try ralling Luck - Izana can do it. An Axe-Splitter might help take them down faster, but it runs the risk of eating too much damage in one turn. BS % crits will drive you mad.
Once they're down, it's time for Hans. He's got Counter, so you only have three options - Xander's sword, a magic user, or a bow user. He will most likely slaughter anyone in your team, so it is top priority to kill him on Player Phase.
Reinforcements come, but if you can kill the wave and Hans, it shouldn't be so bad. Good luck!

I know!!! The game just hates me.

You could also try recruiting high level Einhinjars to shore up your squad and not worry about named characters getting got.
-
So . . . I'm using Meta's advice, and it's going swell . . . . THEN A FUCKING BERSERKER CRITS IGNATIUS AND KILLS HIM!!!!!! wheeze
Fucking game.

I don't like using Einhinjars. It just feels wrong not using my actual characters.

Given that screw job that befell Ignatius, it's not like the game is treating them right any how:ninja:.

Hah. True.
Maybe I should Capture/Prison some more people and use THEM as sacrifices.
