Ugh, more fanservice DLC
One Piece: Unlimited World Red (2014 Worldwide Release; 3DS/Wii U/PS3/Vita)

Ugh, more fanservice DLC
-
The Nami School pack and The Bathrobe pack have been added to the Wii U eShop. :)
Ugh, more fanservice DLC
Man I thought it was going in an order for costumes. Nami -> Robin -> Chopper -> Zoro -> Luffy….then like Brook or Sanji. But whatevs.
-
I'm thinking about buying the WiiU version, but is it worth the 20 extra bucks? What additional pros does the WiiU version have that the 3DS version doesn't have? Which one is better???!!!

Bigger screen, cleaner graphics for sure. I think there's slightly different DLC. Otherwise, it's the same game
-
Same dlc, just better graphics. I've been enjoying the 3ds one more, but it's just personal preference.
-
I got this game a bit after launch in the US, I'm one trophy away from platinum (30 poneglyph items, it's a nightmare) but I still don't really understand the game.
I mean, it feels really mediocre to me. I guess the only thing I can say I liked is the humor sometimes.
Red is a cool character but you don't care for him until the very end, and the ending feels like a start of another game.Gameplay wise nothing feels good about this game for me, everything is slow and not very useful apart from Sanji.
Also it didn't take long to just stop using everything and just Red Hawk all bosses for quick defeat.I don't understand the DLC, it doesn't add anything interesting apart from the costumes which I don't see why they even cost money in the first place if there are 0 of them from the game itself.
All the DLC quests do is change things we already have a bit.I remember really liking Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise a bit less but still more than this game, but it's been a long time so I don't remember why.
I do hope though that they will make a sequel, Unlimited World Blue or something and make the mechanics of everything better, and stop with the "It's not really X it's just a memory of him/a leaf that transformed/etc.", I find them really boring and limiting.ALSO BUG CATCHING GOD WHY FISHING IS NICE BUT THE BUGS UGHHHH
-
^
I agree with everything you said except the last thing. Bug catching was ridiculously easy and, even if you failed, you still had a shot at catching the creature. For fishing…..I pretty much HAD to have the final rod or play multiplayer just to catch the fish. After I finished the game I felt like there was no real incentive to play the missions that I didn't complete (why would I need items if I completed all upgrades except strong words and max levels?) and the costume DLC would have been more useful when I was playing the (short) story mode. Coliseum mode should not have unlocked until after completing the story, would have made a lot more sense (receiving every bug and fish upgrade before playing the story....made it quite easy) and gave me incentive to actually purchase DLC.
-
I didn't say it was hard, it was terribly easy, but really annoying and not fun.
And like 85% of the time I got really generic animals/insects. Pretty much all of the rare ones I got early from the Coliseum and later I got a lot from the quests but didn't really need them anymore.
The only thing in the game I didn't do is donate an animal sized 777cm to the museum, but no way am I going to spend so much time for that. Also, what were they thinking with Smoker?
"Hey, there's this time you have next to nothing to do in, keep yourself occupied for 15 minutes and there's going to be a street fight!"
Before I read online that that's how you find him I only fought one such fight, never to even see the smoke again until I waited just for that. -
Yeah…I'll probably never see Smoker in my game. It might make a little sense for that to be a requirement on a handheld but it's absolutely pointless on a console.
-
smoker just happened to appear to me 'cause I usually leave my console on while I go to do other shits… and then it happened
-
Just won the game for the 3ds and I wonder if any of you guys have an anniversary dlc code unused? If so what do you want for it?
-
Just won the game?
-
-
Anybody with the Vita version of this game in the Tokyo or Kyoto (I'm usually in Kyoto during weekends for work) area who wants to meet for some multiplayer?
(I know the chances aren't that high, but still wanted to try asking :P )
-
Decided to check the Wii U eShop again before going to sleep, and as expected two new DLC packs have been added! The Robin School pack and the Hard Quests for Rare Items pack are this week's releases.
-
Guys I have a stupid question … is that possible to use these DLC on WiiU when I have bought them all on 3ds? That would be pain in ass so spend around 40$ again ... (i dont have yet a WiiU ;/)
-
I believe there is just one 3DS/Wii U game that has cross-buy at the moment.
So no, that won't work.Edit: I do not have either version, so I can't confirm that.
-
You can link the 3DS save to the Wii U game using the Data Link feature, so there might be a chance the DLC is unlocked if you do that. Sadly I only have the Wii U version, so I can't check. Hopefully someone else can confirm/deny?

Seems legit since every dlc on all platforms are exactly the same … but I will like to see more replies.

DLC is cross-buy on PS3/Vita but not Wii U/3DS

Hello One Piece fans!
Do you know how this Season Pass works? It says 16 quests and 12 costumes. But now there is even more available. Can you choose which one you want, until you reach the numbers contained in Season Pass and buy the rest separately?
Thanks for help
-
Just checked the Wii U eShop, and I'm glad to see that although it took a while, the Takoyaki Pack from the Chopper Edition is finally available for purchase! The Dino Master Quest is also available, and is free!
EDIT: Are the Zoro Armor Pack and the Lucy costumes the only costume DLCs we're missing now? I can't remember any more costumes, but my memory has failed me countless times before, so…
-
Man, Crossword was right, Ace is a little overpowered. That fight at Mt. Corvo showed his spammable fireballs have a large range, not the best matchup for the close combat Luffy.
Quick question: do the 3DS and Wii U versions differ in the story stages?

…...Then why even....?
Ugh, forget it.

The only different thing about versions is how crossplay works and the multiplayer.
And yeah Ace is pretty over powered at first, I sometimes played as him or as Jinbe and just stood there pressing triangle for an easy win -
The best thing about Ace is how easy it is to dodge.
-
Seriously the dodges in this game suck, they make you stop for way too long and you can't cancel recovery. I think I've got nightmares from Brook's dodge
Also the ones that go up instead of to the side were stupid too
-
All DLC= price of game on 3ds … IT SUX that they arent crossbuy
-
Just finished the game (story mode at least). I thought there would be a lot more to this, but I guess not. Can't really complain though, since it is just a simple 3DS game turned console.
The story was alright, it did get a bit repetitive towards the middle, but it works following the same design as the other Unlimited games. I did enjoy the cheesy ending too, I'll admit.
For what it's worth, the gameplay move set was smooth, a tad unresponsive at times, but overall pretty smooth. Though I was irked by how some bosses (Wapol, Hody) had only one or two basic attacks that they spam constantly. Hody's Kirisame, for example.
Also, is it just me, or can Akainu's special attack just not be avoided or dodged? I've never gone through his Meteor Volcano and come out unscathed. And I can understand that it's meant to make the fight more difficult, but when you're already given the handicap of not being able to switch characters it's a little overwhelming. I'll tell ya those medicine capsules are what really won the fight on that one.
-
I have a question regarding some bosses. I noticed that some characters seems to have boss-exclusive moves, and regular moves with different properties than their playable versions.
For example, Fujitora's triangle attack is an awkward short range slash when playing as him, however as a boss the attack almost goes the full length of the arena, and hits pretty hard. Also, his Gravity field seem to have tracking property, unlike the playable version.
Shanks is another example, with his super having a follow-up slash that I can't seem to activate when playing as him. Jinbie has the exact same thing too with his super, as it has a unique extension when fighting him as a boss, that is unavailable when playing as him. Also, now that I think about it, you can add Akainu to the list too.
So my question is, are these truly unique moves, or do I just suck at the game, and I'm missing something ? Unique A.I. moves are fine, but it seems there is an abundance of them in this game.
-
Just boss exclusive moves, if you had them they would be been too overpowered
-
Just curious, but is eshop acting up for anyone else on the 3ds version? I can access the eshop fine on its own, but from the game, it keeps giving me error code 009-1502. Been doing this for a couple of days now.
Edit: After a few days, I was finally able to access the DLC from the eshop via the game. Seems it needed to update in order to do so. Weird since I keep my system up to date.
-

Seems like I was right! This week's update is the Zoro Armor Pack and the Gladiator Pack! This might be the final batch of DLC, then… Unless we're missing some quests.
EDIT:
Checked Bamco Europe's Facebook page, and found that the Gladiator Pack is not covered by the Season Pass, as it was added very recently (obviously, as Japan only just got it as well). They don't say if this is the final batch of planned DLC or if we're getting more next week, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-
There is no season pass for the 3ds version right? I dont see it
-
The Season Pass is only for the PlayStation consoles, yeah. Don't really know why - it's probably not a technical thing considering the 3DS has had Season Passes in the past.
It's a bit of a strange one anyways, as it doesn't seem to cover all the rest of the DLC either - the description says it covers 12 costumes and 16 quests, but the DLC packs (excluding the Gladiator Pack + the free DLC) add up to… 13 costumes and 23 quests, I think? Maybe someone who has bought it can clarify exactly which DLC packs it covers? -

No, unfortunately you have to purchase every DLC separately. The only DLC's I have (aside from the Day One Edition DLC's) are the Takoyaki Pack and any free ones.
On that note, I do hope the Lucy costume becomes available next week, or sometime soon. That's the only other one I wouldn't mind paying for.
-
The Lucy costumes should be available already, surely? They're up on the Wii U eShop, at least.
-
I don't think it's available in the US store yet. I just checked the eShop the only thing added since last time was the Zoro Armor Pack ^^
-
That's strange… The way it was worded on the facebook page made it seem like it was a global release.
Hopefully it'll arrive soon, then.EDIT:
No new DLC this week! Seems like last week's batch was indeed the final planned DLC for the game!(In other slightly related news, I went back and finally got the fabled 100% on One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP 2! Garp on Unlimited difficulty might be the most difficult fight I've ever experienced in a One Piece game, but at least I managed to get through it in the end!)
-
Too bad this game wasn't exactly fantastic
-
I can not beat Kizaru (play on the 3DS). He is too fast.
-
Have they removed any DLC from eshop? I cant find Dark Justice pack
-
i think they did. i lost out on the one day anniversary pack.
-
After playing this game for a while, I have to say it was not very good. I had high hopes, but it just didn't deliver to me any of the satisfaction that the Unlimited Cruise games did. I was expecting a similar game, but it ended up as a watered down Pirate Warriors. I don't hate it, by any means, but I can't say I liked it either. It was just…disappointing.
The fishing and bug catching were useless, and you always knew what boss you were about to face. The use of 'words' was pointless and I didn't care much for them, in battle or in exploration. I didn't hate the story, but I felt it could have been so much better. -

I'm a bit confused about the dlc situation in this game. Is it possible to get ALL the dlc that has been made availible across all the consoles and countries if I purchase a non day 1 edition 3ds version of the game? Or is there some dlc that they didn't release for purchase

I believe the only thing you would NOT be able to get w/ a non Day 1 Edition would be the Anniversary Costume pack and one quest w/ Luffy and Ace. But for the 3DS, I think the other DLCs packs can be bought in the Prestige Pack for $24.99 for all 16 packs of payable DLCs (excluding the free ones like the Dinosaur Pack and the Red Stands Alone pack.
