Interestingly Kaka's "dark mode" or whatever you wish to call it kind of reminds me of the nitro's dormant form, so maybe it's a survival instinct thing? I'm guessing bambina's true form was enough to scare Kaka into abandoning any hope of the 4Kings winning, and that he needs Komatsu for a backup plan.

You can bet they felt it. Probably not the sensation of imminent death most other creatures felt, but I guarantee you that Bambina going ape shit probably has them on guard. Don't forget they have very acute sensitively to the goings-on of the Torikoverse.

Bambina's feat is not a hyperbole. They were given specific orders by their trusted masters/partners/friends to guard Komatsu at any and all costs. Of course they weren't going to hightail it with the monkeys in search of their favorite food. If even the Iai-Aye has that sort of resolve then it shouldn't come as a surprise that the future generation of beast kings do as well.

Don't forget Midora and Ichiryuu created an Emperor Ring that was big even for Gourmet World's standard. It's safe that Midora and Ichiryuu could compete (and maybe defeat) the 8 Kings.

Disciples >= Kings > Nitro. to draw a parallel for you- just because humans stand atop the food chain does not mean that we could defeat a lion or a bear in a barehanded fight. The Nitro are only at the top because of their vast knowledge and life experience.

Yea, what makes the blue nitro so dangerous imo is how extremely intelligent they are and how much knowledge they have.

I remember Acacia telling his disciples:"No one can beat them (the Blue Nitro)".Acacia said "you guys (disciples) can't beat the Blue Nitro", not "no one can beat the Blue Nitro.", and don't forget that was the disciples 500yrs in the past. They are exponentially more powerful in the present than they were back then. And finally, Kaka was never stated to be a Blue Nitro.

! Unless I missed something, Red Nitro mouth doesn't open sideways. Then again, we don't know how many other especies of Nitro there are out there.
! Oh yeah, and Red Nitro cannot speak because they have their vocal cords crushed by the Blue Nitro. Chichi is one exception, but we already are in touch with his origins and the reason he escaped that punishment. I have to agree, though, that something doesn't add up; those pitch-black eyes are something new in a Nitro.
