I see. For a minute I thought they made that ending into the new opening. So! They are almost in Arlong Park! Awesome!

Meanwhile the first volume is getting a second printing of 3000 copies, 9000 in total. Third volume is coming out soon as well.
-
9000 is good, isn't it?
-
I guess. 6000 is an average number for new big releases, for example vol.1 of FMA had 7000 copies in first printing, so did the 19th volume of Naruto. That they're ordering more is definitely a good sign. What are the circulations of Viz's One piece volumes? Or any other One Piece localization?
-
I don't think VIZ makes those numbers public.

-
The publisher releases the number of ordered copies for every month. Like this.
-
2nd opening.
-
Gonna be honest and say that I love the Russian Opening 2 more than the English one. But in general, I also think opening 2 is Funimation's weakest opening/ending in terms of vocals.

A little update:
One Piece began airing on Ukrainian TV today on the channel QTV with two episodes Monday-Friday at 4:00pm. Unfortunately, they aren't using the Comix Art dub and instead are doing a "voice over dub" with a limited cast of Ukrainian voices over the original Japanese audio.
However the Comix Art dub on 2x2 is currently on episode 52 and will continue to until episode 61. Episodes 62-130 will air later this year.

Bad News guys.

T](http://www.animationmagazine.net/tv/russian-channel-censors-itchy-and-scratchy/)here will be a new law that forbids violence, drinking and smoking on Russian TV. I cant see this being good for One Piece.
-
I don't think 2x2 TV is going to be affected too badly by this law, since it's a cable channel and the new law is going after regular broadcast channel, from what I've heard.
However, all channels will be required to have a graphic simliar to the TV-PG/14/MA symbol here in the US (for example, programs intended for ages 16 and up have to have a "16" at the beginning of the show).
We'll have to wait and see though.
-
Phew! I sure had hoped it was only for broadcast channels! Thank goodness it is!

On behalf of official Comix-Art, I can now announce, for thouse who are interested, that we finally got confirmation from TOEI and are starting to work on the Russian dub of next part of One Piece (up to episode 130). The next 'season' will air on 2x2 in late 2012/early 2013.

Awesome news! I can't wait to hear more of the dub!
I do have a couple questions though. Are you guys still going to be dubbing the opening and closing songs? Apparently many dubs around the world are being told by Toei that they can't dub them anymore, so I'm just curious.
Also, is there any word on a DVD release yet?
Thanks!

I didn't know Russia was so heavy in censorship.

It's not really heavy in censorship at all? Goverment just got new law in that obliges all films and programms to have rating shown before it starts (to protect children from adult contents), but as far as I know it's always been like that for the US? At least I see rating warning before all trailers on YouTube and such.

Thanks!I don't know anything about TOEI being against song dubs yet, sorry. We did dub previous songs before we got official confirmation from them, though, since it takes too long to get an answer.
As for the DVDs - it's in the works too, but I don't think anybody knows any specific dates yet.

Now, that's a nice move! I wish Funimation would do that too xD

OK. Thanks for the info. I heard a rumor that the DVD release was being held up because of the opening and closing songs, but I guess that debunked now.
Keep up the great job Al!na!

For all we know FUNi did dub the Season 4 songs before "official" confirmation that they couldn't. Mike McFarland sounded pretty confident in his answer that the songs would continue being dubbed back in January when interviewed by the OPP.

I've got some good news from Comix to share with you guys.
-Toei has officially allowed Comix Art to include the dubbed openings and endings on the upcoming DVD release of the dub (there's still no date is set yet for said release though).
-In addition to 2x2, the Russian dub will start airing on the Sony-owned channel ANX Sci-Fi in the near future.
Hopefully this means that Toei will still allow foreign dubs to dub openings and closings.
-
Has OP ever aired in Croatia? Is there an updated list with the countries it has aired in before?

Just updating this thread with some news:
-New episodes have started on 2x2 and are currently in the Little Garden arc. 2x2 will air up to episode 130 within the next couple of months.
-Even though Toei is restricting other countries from dubbing any more openings and closings (for reasons unknown), they are still letting the Russian dub keep on dubbing them.
Here's endings 3-5
#3
#4
#5-Unfortunately, Luffy has a new voice actor this season, but his new VA is still very close to the original.
-Still no word on an official DVD release yet.
-The first 4 manga volumes are out for purchase.
-For more news, clips and extras of OP in Russian you can join http://vk.com/oprus to stay informed!
And that's about it at the moment!
-
Wow, not only is the Russian dub continuing with dubbed songs for the moment, they're even doing full versions of some of the songs! They haven't even caught up to us yet in number of song dubs but they're already doing more than we ever got.
Hey Alina, what was the whole thing behind the full versions of We Are and some of the other songs? Was it something done just as an extra on the YT page?

Where? I want to hear too!
I listened to russian dub and it´s awesome, you have so fitting voices! I think your Zoro, Sanji and Luffy sounds almost like the originals! I hope the anime and manga is doing well in russia!
-
Usopp voice fits I think. Zoro's is not bad either. But everything sounds so clumsy, voice acting sucks. Now what I did like about the dub is the music for the endings (well, and Openings too). Shouchi no Suke sounds exactly like original song, better than Funi version of this song for sure!

Ending 6 was just released:
