It's on the Hub and is awesome, but nobody talks about it because ponies melted their brains or some damn thing.
Here's the first episode.

That was pretty good. Love the bizarre random humor. Perhaps I'll start watching more of it once I'm done catching up with said brain-melting ponies.

You know, I used to think the Hub was just some random hodgepodge of old syndicated shows that the station somehow got the rights to. But now with this and MLP, I don't know anymore.
Dan Vs is a great show :D

GI Joe Renegades and Transformers Prime are good also.
That first episode was good. I loved this part
Where can I see the other episodes?
Dan Vs. MLP: FiM .
Wait, so does Dan's car get damaged in every episode?
That's a major running gag, but there are a few episodes where it doesn't happen. Dan Vs Ye Olde Shakespeare Theatre doesn't have any car damage that I recall.
One thing I love about the series is how off-hand comments can lead to something much bigger later on. Dan vs The Salvation Armed Forces is a really good example of that. Pay attention to Dan's references to Grandma as well since those build into a small story as time goes by.
Why doesn't this show get more popularity around here? It's hilarious. I just finished watching the third episode. God, it was hysterical. A dentist SV? That was about a thousand times funnier than the wolf man existing or satanic New Mexicans. It was so surreal… The whole chase scene.. the doctor's villainous laughter.... the hideout.. "dento-robots"... I also liked how one of the buttons said insurance forms.

I was wondering about the grandma ever since the policeman mentioned the letters in the second episode. And then again in the third episode with the angry phone call. I can't wait to find out more.
Skimming over the list of episodes on wikipedia, I'm definitely looking forward to the ninja and canada ones because a part of me just can't help loving seeing those two things get mocked.
Dan vs The Ninja was the first one I saw and is still one of my favorites along with Dan vs The Animal Shelter.
Dan vs. New Mexico?
What?

Okay that was geographically inaccurate...
Though the bit about the Pagan sacrifices is actually true. :ermm:

Finished watching two more episodes of Dan Vs. Seriously though, why don't more people like this show around here?
Dan vs The Ninja:
! lolol Cookie Shuriken. I could see that being a weapon Chrissie might use.
! Chris is gonna get poisoned a lot in this series isn't he?
! As a fellow Asian with Asian parents, I found the way in which the ninja clan gets wiped out to be fucking hilarious. Too cheap? YES WE ARE.
! Wow talk about awkward ending.
Dan vs. Animal Shelter
! lolol poisoned meatloaf. Of course.
! Oh interesting, it's Dan's list. I saw two things that caught my eye on his notepad: a guy named Ted and a monocle manufacturing company. I hope this will tie into a later episodes somehow.
! That scene with Mr. Mumbles just killed me for both the rainbows and how Dan seemed completely OOC. "Cover your ears!" Cute. Funny how Dan feels betrayed by Mr. Mumbles at the end. I wonder if we'll still seem him later because I'd very much like to see him. Plus that name is awesome.

It takes away time from talking about ponies.
As a fellow Asian with Asian parents, I found the way in which the ninja clan gets wiped out to be fucking hilarious. Too cheap? YES WE ARE.
That bus scene is one of my favorites. "We are the ninjas! The mighty, mighty ninjas!"
Oh interesting, it's Dan's list. I saw two things that caught my eye on his notepad
I think there's a reference in a later episode to Ted being a former friend of Chris and Dan, but I don't recall which one it was.
And the best scene with the list is in Dan vs the Barber, which I highly recommend, and is one of the most cold-blooded things we see Dan do in the entire series so far. "MIKE!" scritch And Mr. Mumbles does indeed have a major role in the show, especially in Dan Vs. Technology, so look forward to that.
I also highly recommend Dan vs Dan, which is where that courtroom picture comes from.
"You are hereby ordered to reappear in this courtroom on Thursday at 8AM."
"Can you make it eleven? I like to sleep in."
Clearly what this thread needs is more awesome fanart. I can't quite wrap my head around the thought of pony-fied Dan though.
That explosion was glorious. I could picture Franky doing the thumbs up pose like he did when he blew up Vegapunk's lab. Nice to see some semblance of continuity. Mr. Mumbles is just too precious.
If nothing else, this show has given us one kickass billboard
But then again, Hub seems to be having a monopoly on billboards lately.
!
I also like the more subtle billboard that they made:
!
I like the show. I've begun to get hooked on the Hub, I watch this, MLP, Transformers: Prime, and good Ol' Jem and the Holograms most days. And occasionally Family Ties and Wonder Years for nostalgia.
Where can i find these episodes. I don't have access to HUlU and Ubiq's link doesnt work due to copyright issues
Season two will start this month with the aptly titled Dan vs Halloween. Tomorrow's episode is Dan vs The Burgerphile so it will probably air on the 29th.
In honor of the occasion, I'm posting this Dan Vs. Silent Hill fanart that I ran across.
Damn that's some good looking art.

If anyone cant get it on however the rest watch it

The Hub is really diligent about getting any actual episodes of Dan Vs. off of Youtube; piratemarimo was finding them online, but I'm not sure where.
I found five episodes in the link above. Though it will take me 6 hours to download 1 episode. Better be worth it.
Every episode has something to recommend it; for a first episode New Mexico does a great job of showcasing what the series is about and doesn't suffer from the usual rough edges. The entire sequence with the library is still one of my favorites from the series.
I haven't see Dan Vs. Traffic, but the episodes I recommend most are:
Dan Vs. The Ninja
First one I saw and a sentimental favorite as a result. Ninja day camp!
Dan Vs. the Animal Shelter
The poisoned meatloaf episode.
Dan Vs. Ye Olde Shakespeare Dinner Theatre
The more you know about Shakespeare, the funnier it gets.
Dan Vs. Dan
The episode that shows why underestimating Dan is a terrible idea. Also the source of that courtroom picture I used so much during the Tournament.
Dan Vs. the Family Camping Trip
Lord, that sequence with the bear.
This show is brilliant. I have only seen the New Mexico episode, and i don't want to spoil it for anyone but this show is awesome.Though in my opinion M.L.P. > Dan.Unfortunately i was not able to participate in this years Character tournament for the Internet was off during that time.

I want to see that pic!
Hello again, Vs. Thread! I'd almost forgotten you. I need to resume watching episodes. The Vs. Dentist and Ninja are two of my favorite episodes thus far. As for where I was getting them, I just googled whatever episode and searched until I found it. Usually it's not that hard to find something suitable.
http://www.watchseries-online.com/2011/02/dan-vs-14-dan-vs-the-ninja.html
there's a few more episodes if you look in the sidebar and hopefully at least one of the links works. usually it's on megavideo, though if you go directly to the site, no results come up for some reason. :I
and that art is seriously awesome, Ubiq. It's kind of hard to find good fanart of Dan Vs. and even harder to find Mr. Mumbles.
My favorite episodes are Wolfman,Beach,Baseball, and Canada :D

The show gets better as it goes along; keep that in mind.

Hello again, Vs. Thread! I'd almost forgotten you. I need to resume watching episodes. The Vs. Dentist and Ninja are two of my favorite episodes thus far.
Mark Hammill is far and away the best thing about The Dentist and his dentist is easily one of the best one-shot characters to appear to date.
I ran across that on another message board. Toonzone, I think. I'm not sure what the soruce is.
My favorite episodes are Wolfman,Beach,Baseball, and Canada :D
Wolfman had a nice twist in Dan's approach to getting revenge, Beach feels like the first half of a two-part episode, Baseball was a bit disturbing at the end, and Canada was really out there. All great episodes though.
Ubiq, if it makes you happy, because of you I've been watching the series occasionally. I like what I've seen so far. The last one I saw was the anniversary day episode. Dan the leader of 'less-than-human' chefs… dear lord lol
AAAARRRGH, why does the file have to be 200 megabyte. I guess for me its an episode per 9 hours.
I try to catch this show when I can, but it really is a great show and I wish I would remember to watch it more often. Thus far I've seen Dan vs. New Mexico, Canada, Traffic, Ye Olde Shakespeare Dinner Theater, Baseball, the Salvation Army, the Barber, Elise's Parents, the Fancy Restaurant and the Lemonade Stand Gang.
I just watch the episodes on the Hub myself, but since a few people have asked, I went poking around the internet and found the following.

I know i am sounding like a total bitch on this thread, but i am really enjoying this series. I have seen New Mexico and The wolf man.
But now the rest of the episodes are massive in size. 200 megabyte goddamn, and the problem is that Canada hit 60% then IDM timed out on me after around 5 hours of downloading.
I hate this, i hate this, i hate this..
I wish there was a torrent for this,,,,, you know what i am gonna search.

Nice find.
Oh man, I want a Jerk shirt or a Mr. Mumbles. I wish they had one of the ninjas on the bus and the explosion on the back. :ninja:
Yes!!!!!!!!!! After 2 days of searching i have found a great torretn with most of dan vs episodes on isohunt.com
So now even though it will take me a week, i can disconnect, reconnect and pause to my hearts content without having to start over.

)INKIE PIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!So Dan instantly views kindness as baffling or with intense suspicion and apparently has no experience whatsoever with family gatherings.
What the hell did his family do to him?
So Dan instantly views kindness as baffling or with intense suspicion and apparently has no experience whatsoever with family gatherings.

All will be revealed in the flashback episode, Dan vs. His Family
Anyway, I saw the Thanksgiving episode. Pretty good. Elise's parents are always a riot.
After checking out the thanksgiving episode out of interest…..I am now hooked to this awesome show.
Saw Dan vs. Fancy Restaurant the other day, got much more to see.
For those who may have missed it, Dan Vs The Family Thanksgiving Dinner is airing again this weekend. Fire fixes everything.
A-aawwww. D: Poor Dan… this episode really makes me wonder how he was raised.
God, he needs a hug.
Watching that again, I'm pretty sure that it was actually Mr. Mumbles that set that fire.
Mr. Mumbles is truly a fit pet for Dan. lol No wonder they get along so well~
… this is gonna be fun~
Dan vs The Mall Santa is coming up this Saturday (Dec. 17).
Dan and Chris get holiday jobs and Dan runs afoul of the grumpy Mall Santa.
Mark Hammill is listed as a guest star; perhaps the Dentist is back for revenge.
Here's a preview clip and a picture from the episode.

call me nuts but i think that mall santa is Mark Hammill
It likely is; I'm just hoping that they work The Dentist in there somewhere while they have Hammill.
I've often kept hearing about this show but I've never actually had the opportunity to sit down and really watch it. Last time I did, I got interrupted for something so I never finished a whole episode. Then my friend actually showed me a couple episodes including Dan vs. New Mexico, the Salvation Army, Burgerphile, and The Shakspearean Theater, and it they were all fucking excellent.
Dan Vs. has a really great formula to it, by all rights you've got a main character who's this surly, unlikable asshole with virtually no redeeming qualities whatsoever, his mellow, go-with-the-flowish best friend who always gets wrapped into his schemes but at times can be just as much of an asshole, all in a world where everyone is kind of an asshole in some way, shape or form.
And yet however petty or obscure, Dan always gets vindicated in his revenge. It has that quality that Regular Show has where theres no single punching bag of a character and in some twisted way everything just works out in the end. Of course I'm digging the more risque jokes getting past the radar as well, and all in the same programming block that airs My Little Pony!?
Sign me up till the end of time!
