@2D3Y:
Now that you're talking about preorders, I kinda need your advise.
I was going to pay for my SA Franky and SA Shiki at NY due to the yen being so low, but it just came into my notice that Amiami Rakuten is ofering free EMS shipping on some items that I want (DPCF Buggy and Shilliew both at 4400 along other non OP merch that I was already going to order). Shiliew for 45 USD shipped is to good to pass imo, but I'm affraid of missing the chance to get franky for 200 USD shipped, which is also really good.
So guys, do you thing the yen will keep falling or should I pass on the Amiami offer and pay Shiki and Franky now?
Free International EMS shipping? Is that at Rakuten?! Is that the Campaign where you've got to place an order for atleast 10,000 yen?
Sounds tempting, I may take a look myself for Kid & Shiliew.
Edit: Just looked, it says free shipping up to 5,000 yen…...as Shiliew and Kid combined will probably cost me 10,000 to ship to the EU. That means I've still got to pay 5,000 yen shipping?!? :blink: That's 7,000 + 4,400 + 5,000......I can't afford that right now....
! When does free shipping not apply?Free shipping does not apply in cases where
-The merchant is not participating in the campaign
-The total cost of one order does not exceed 10,000 JPY
-The order is shipped to a destination within Japan. This includes fowarding service and delivery service addresses.
-Orders shipped after June 30th, 2013
-Any of the campaign rules are not respected. Please check the "Campaign Rules "section for details.
*An order is a transaction with the same order number. The order number is displayed on the screen after each purchase is complete.
*For eligible orders, shipping fees up to 5,000 JPY are free (waived by Rakuten). Shipping fees in excess of 5,000JPY are to be paid by the customer.
Example: If shipping fees amount to 6,000JPY, the customer needs to pay 1,000JPY (6,000JPY - 5,000JPY = 1,000JPY).
If you've placed your orders at NY in JPY then there's no rush to pay. There's no sign of the yen going up any time soon and it's forecast to be at it's lowest by July so i'd wait.
If you've chosen a different currency, you have to pay before orders close to take advantage of the current rate. Once pre-orders close you have to pay the price it says on your pre-order.
For example, it you order shiki now for $200, but don't pay for a couple of weeks, and the price on NY drops to $175, as long as shiki is still "in stock", you pay the advertised price…...
Once shiki PO closes however, you have to pay $200, no matter what the current price says.
