Favorite Anime/Manga Villains (possible spoilers)

Alright, I'll start off.

Dio Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure): Now, at first I despised Dio. He's probably the biggest dickface I've ever seen in any series. But, by the tiem I reached him in Part III I saw how much of a well developed and badass villain he was. He's probably one of the most well developed and charismatic villains I've ever seen, not to mention his stand, "The World," was my favorite in Part III. He's just a total badass… even though he still pissed me off (I was furious when he sucked Joseph's blood). You know you have a great villain when you can despise him and admire him at the same time.

Yoshikage Kira (JoJo part IV): i didn't really like Kira as much as i did his background. I like his background a lot because it is a lot like the typical serial killer; an average, introverted, yet brilliant neurotic who didn't want to stand out. I like it when I'm able to tell when an author did their research. Plus, Killer Queen was a pretty sweet stand (Well, except for Bites the Dust. That was a bullshit power.)

Piccolo (Dragonball; both Ma and Jr.): Just a classic awesome villain. Them ore I think about it, the more Piccolo is my favorite DBZ protagonist. It's a shame he was pushed aside by Vegeta and the other new Saiyan characters, though..

Buggy the Clown: Just...awesome...

well lets see here some of my favorites are

Shishio Makoto(sp?) from kenshin:speaks for himself.

Fuhrer Bradley aka pride from FMA: cause he always appears to be nice and friendly whilst hes really evil and he has wicked swordsmanship and i love the patch.

Midvalley the hornfreak from Trigun he fights with a fricking saxophone just that makes him cool.

Legato Bluesommer from trigun no one inflicted more pain upon vash than this bluehaired badass nuff said.

Saito Hajime from kenshin:Aku Zoku Zan all the way baby=p but seriously all about this guy is great his arrogance his skill his motto and his kickass character design.

Buggy the Clown from onepiece who doesnt love a semi psychiotic pirate clown who can split into billions of pieces ^^

I was thinking of mentioning Saito, but I consider him to be more of an anti-hero than a villain.

I'm gonna have to second Piccolo, even though I guess I just liked him so much because he turned into a good guy and all.

Light Yagami, from Death Note, scores a mention. Having the main villain actually be the main protagonist is a very interesting concept, and it's worked out remarkably well, even despite some weak chapters in the series lately. I just think everything about his character is brought forth really awesomely. Apart from the sometimes excessive need the author has to insert stereotypical evil faces and maniacal laughter. Especially in the latest chapters, where he's grown up. I dunno, he just worked a lot more when he was still a teenager, because of multiple reasons.

Other than that, because it's so awesomely nostalgic, Tetsuo from Akira. He's just so wonderfully psychotic.

Oh yeah, how could I forget Tao Pai Pai! Singlehandedly one of the most badass Dragonball characters ever, he just oozed awesomeness. However, a few things about him disappointed me:

• Despite the incredibly awesome cyborg upgrade, he was smacked like a little bitch by Tenshinhan in like 5 seconds.
• The only time he appeared in Z was in some lame filler episodes, and all he did was run away.

Other than that… pure greatness.

Crocodile: Real pimps don't take off their coats. Even though Luffy gets his ass beat by every other villain, Croc was his true challenge. I love pretty much everything about him.

Brian Hawk: funky tan and frightening power. I think he was even mentally handicapped…. crazy guy.

Dio: I pegged him as a dork until all the minions in Part III went on about how mystical and sexy he is (really). The World is probably my favorite stand.

Dio Brando (Jojo's Bizzare Adventure): Much like Carter, I thought Dio was the total asshole villain that I could'nt stand until series III. Read Jojo series one, then when you get to III, think of the series 1 version of Dio as the series 3 version and it'll be all better.

Sandman (Steel Ball Run): A Badass villain and the most awesome native american man in manga! (That's right Bora, fuck ya!)

Juakyule "Hawk-Eyes" Mihawk (One Piece): The only man to defeat Zoro....that itself deserves mad props.

Pierrot Bonazz (Yakitate!! Japan) You deserve to be on this list if you try to sabotage your opponents in a BREAD MAKING COMPETITION with death...yes...death.

Dark Schneider (Bastard!!) One of two hero's that can double as a villain. Could easily switch sides if he wanted...infact he's enough of a villain as it is.

Vegeta (Dragonball) The second of two heros who can double as villain.

griffith cause hes such a backstabbing bastard who betrays all his "friends",

and Zenigata cause hes hilarious

EDIT and prehaps saito is more of an anti hero but he should still count her since he tried to kill off the hero a couple of times=D

Zenigata is not really a villian since he is an Interpol officer and on the side of justice, but he is DEFINATLY an antagionist since it's his lifelong goal to catch the protagionists, Lupin and his gang.

That being said, Greed is the best villian out of Full Metal Alchemist. Not so much being evil, he just pisses me off the least, plus he's pretty cool when he is captured by Wrath in the manga.

Tao Pai Pai from Dragonball rocks, though he got smacked around with ease in DBZ.

As for favorite One Piece villians, Kuro and Buggy are the best.

Kurei was another great villain, well developed too. I loved him when he became an anti-hero, too.

3.) Shishio Makoto (Kenshin): The second greatest villian in the greatest manga series of all time, Shishio was powerful in the respect that he was the opposite of Kenshin as a swordsman. His sword style (using the fluids of the people he's killed as fuel for attacks) fit his philosophy that was equal and opposite to Kenshin's. That and he was just plain interesting, actually had decent motivation for being insane, and having excellent henchmen made him a supremely excellent villian.

2.) Kuroro and the Genei Ryodan (Hunter x Hunter): I've never had such fun reading a group of villians as I have the Genei Ryodan. They have a level of character and personality rarely achieved by villians. Each one of them is simply wonderful. I can't wait to see more of them doing what they do best.

1.) Yukishiro Enishi (Kenshin): If Shishio is the opposite of Kenshin the swordsman, then Enishi is the opposite of Kenshin as a human being. Enishi's story and Kenshin's story are so heavily entertwined that it's baffling, and their polar opposite personalities lead to excellent tension. Enishi is the only villian to ever scare the crap out of me with his level of insanity. His two fights with Kenshin are easily my favorite in the series, both with their hard hitting action and excellent dramatic flow. Enishi is the perfect villian to end the perfect manga with.

ah you so right Zio but just a minor clarification he doesnt really care that much about Jigen or Goemon he has on many occasions let them go in exchange for Lupin or simply stop chasing them when he has caught Lupin….

and i didnt think Enishi was really that great a villan i mean basicly his only character trait was that he was insane and i mean really insane,
and his henchman werent that cool atleat not compared to shishios guys the only one of them i liked was the old puppet maker(name?).

EDIT oh yeah i wanna add another villan Nephrite from SM cause he had the cool star powers and his discovery of love thru naru was beautiful....

I forgot about Shishio. I don't feel like getting indepth, but I just want to touch on something I realized from reading the author's notes when I skimmed Vol. 17 in the store the other day; Shishio is pretty much the perfect embodiment of the appeal of evil. I mean, one of the things I liked about some of the Juppongatana was that you could see things a bit from their perspective; like if you were in a different life, you might be the same as them. Or something. Shishio just has that kind of appeal, almost as great as Dio.

for that reason my most beloved juppongatana was Myouou no anji his sad past would be enough to make anyone snap and even then he wasnt really evil,

oh and i really liked that strategist shishio had you know the guy with the coat who was fiercly loyal to shishio do any one remember his name ?
he was the one planned the attack on the aoi-ya

and lastly i just have to mention another RK villan that i liked Udo jinei he was the only one that managed to draw out the battosai in kenshin and he had a cool hat

And same here i really liked ANji but what bothered me is that he was the only one who the government did let him do something hence he went to jail that was a bomber

Alucard (Hellsing) - Just how isn't he a badass, Vampire…Helllo.

Tao pi pi (DB) - Loved him just totally get blown up, then came back as cyborg.

Hiei (YYH) - Oh man, Just a total badass, as he only cares about himself. Plus that Jigan eye is pretty kickin, too.

I have more, I just really don't feel like going through all of the memories of the anime/manga villains in my head, at the moment.
