Now the plot develops around a dog and a baby
why so cliche ?
(ahan."Andromeda "Syndrome" ?
anyone?)
PA was a pretty good movie and was actually scary unlike most horror movies that come out nowadays. I just hope they don't use an ending suggested by Stephen Spielberg as the default ending this time around.
My dad saw the first one but didn't like it. He said the only scary part was the ending. I doubt he'll want to watch the second one now.
The ending wasn't even all that scary, it was just stupid. The original one isn't really scary either but it's a lot more creepy and fitting with the movie.
first one was brilliant. One of the few decent horror films in recent years.
Sequel is unnecessary
ill see it just because it reminded me of shows like a Haunting
Obviously the dog and baby will be aware of the ghostly presence well before the parents.
I love German Sheperds. I might just go see it for that.
Was the first movie even that good to warrant making a sequel?
I never saw it, since I couldn't get into the theater and I never made an attempt to buy the dvd.
The first is very creepy. But it's not the least of which if you're watching in a theater.
If you're home.
Alone.
Late on a cold winter night.
In your room.
It's fuckin' scary if you've got anything that resembles an imagination.
The best part though, and I don't know if I ever mentioned this here or not but when I was watching, it was exactly the above conditions and it was exactly when the Ouiji(sp) board started moving. It was about midnight and of course, being my first time through the movie, I was extremely tensed up when suddenly there was a:
tap tap at the front door.
I literally almost shat myself.
I waited and there was another tap tap followed by an English, "Greg?"
Thank God I recognized it as my neighbor's girlfriend's voice instantly or I would have probably died on the spot.
But it didn't end there.
My neighbor was missing at the time and she didn't know where he was and she wanted my help to go look for him in the middle of the winter night.
I AM DEAD SERIOUS.
So I had to grab a flashlight and went into the night looking into empty cars and such.
10 minutes later he mysteriously appeared back inside his place saying he was 'out'.
I went back in and continued to watch because after that, nothing could scare me.
