And from that picture, I can't see anything wrong with the shirt's make. Do you use patterns? If so, how difficult is it, any tips on using them?
I really wish I had time to be sewing right now >.< My last semester of college is eating up everything I got. But once I graduate, I'm going to be doing more then enough sewing to make up for that. x_x* One Piece wise, Skypiea and Arlong Nami are on my to make list...but the real work is going an Edward Elric costume, and...mega gulp three of the officer uniforms from Full Metal Alchemist for three very different sized guys.
...I don't typically work from patterns (I usually turn existing clothing insideout, trace, and alter) but I think for the uniforms, I'm going to need SOME form of a pattern. Particularly since I want them to look the same, but in different sizes. Advice from anyone about pattern work would be appreciated ^_^

Thank you! <3 Yeah, I just alter things for the most part too, because if they MAKE things that are fairly close to pieces you need, I usually don't really see the point in making them from scratch. O_o.; The striped thing was this huge crazy grandma shirt I found at Goodwill a while back. XD I found it again recently and decided it was destiny after all, so I bought it, took off the sleeves, and took in the seams on the sides a lot (but… different amounts on each side because I was really lazy that night O_o.;; ), then took the sleeves off another shirt and put them on. I'm so delightfully cheap. <3 It fits weird, because it doesn't stretch at all (yeah, that's a convincing t-shirt XD) but I can live with it.
I've used patterns for some other things (that white and blue dress Nami wears in the Kokoro no Chizu opening and this artbook Robin thing for my friend... and my Harry MacDougall vest XD), but I'm so bad at using them. o_o.; I mean, I'm getting the hang of it now, and I can put in zippers (poorly) and make darts and all (I swear to god, I yell "SHARK ON DARTS" every time I sew darts, because I'm a loser and I need to be shot), but I always read the patterns wrong or something. On the Robin thing, I started making the wrong skirt (all the skirts look pretty much the same, so it took me a long time to realize I was making skirt A instead of skirt B) and had to improvise with the skirt pieces I had left over. O_o.; And that Nami dress somehow came out too small which really doesn't make sense. So... yeah, I like altering existing things because I suck. XD
