I remember watching the first 2 episodes of the dub on YouTube a month or two ago and I wanted to go on with the series and wouldn't you know it, its gone. All I could find up was subs in parts.

I had no idea the Berserk manga was still on going! Damn, 30 volumes thus far. But I'm not surprised seeing it started in 1990.
I think I'll try downloading the dub off torrent and then reading the manga. That way I'll see the anime for what its worth then I'll see the real thing in the manga.
Hm…can't find torrents of the dub, does anyone know one? I wanna see the dub cause it seems just as good as the subs.

I dunno about that. I got into the anime first, it somehow seemed easier. But then again, I ended up knowing the answers to questions I should have had while reading the beginning of the manga, so I guess it's good either way.

I figured I could watch the anime and then read the manga. Cause reading the manga and then watching the anime tends to misplease you with changes and such. This way I can fully enjoy the anime and then have everything corrected for me in the manga.
It works quite well. But most of the time tho it depends on faithfulness, you get a sour taste for the anime which you once liked after reading the manga.

Hmm, I read volume 1-3 like months ago and it all seemed vague, so when I started again, it was the beginning of Guts' flashback. It kinda made the ritual of summoning the God Hand in volume 12+ brand new for me, and I think it doubles the creepy factor >_>
Watched AMV of the anime on youtube; it seems dated but still of high quality. Oh, and some of the dub outtakes are hilarious :D Seems that I'm not the only one that got reminded of Schwarzenegger when I see Guts.

If they ever made berserk like they did when they made episode one of the Anime and had it be that dark it would be awesome, of course if it was fateful to the manga and didn't stray like the Anime of berserk was made, don't get me wrong I love the series to bits, but it is missing certain parts like Puck for one.

Theres one MSN site that has the first 3 books…
And a site that rotates 2 volumes every two weeks from 11 to 30.But to get the entire series at any time our going to have to dl it. And for Berserk its worth it.

Be weary, the manga is asily ten times more explicit then the anime. But also more funny.

Alright, Zephos. You win, I know well how mangas are better than the anime but I know I can enjoy the anime before reading the manga cause I wont be going (WTF?! This isn't like the manga at all!). But if it really does spoil as much as you let on, I'll go straight to the manga.

I prefer batch torrents for manga, its too much of a bitch to download it seperately. Especially if its long, in which Berserk is.
I got chapters 1-53 of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga scanlatted from a torrent and its great. I'll see if theres one for Berserk.

No, tho I use to I no longer do online reading cause of load times and quality. I now only download manga and view it through a nice little program called ComicViewer.
Tho its a pain in the ass downloading each chapter one after another, ESPECIALLY for something thats 30 volumes long.
So if anyone know where anywhere including IRC to download batches of the manga scanlatted, let me know.

Well this chapter wasn't too exciting but it was a big build up to something epic between the main enemy army and the inevitable interference by the Neo Hawks. BTW that lurk link sure is useful but I don't have a use for it at the moment but I might find something I could use it for.

I mean, The Hawks have scanned every volume that came out except for the 3 first.

The thing is, The Hawks only scan volumes, not chapters, so you have to wait for the actual volume to come out in Japan before they scan it.
