-Also, the splitting of the crew was really close, possibly tying for 5th.

5. Revenge of Usopp against Franky House (Water 7)

I just thought this was an awesome scene. The Trio plus Chopper just going to own the Franky Family after Usopp is beat up.

4. Death of Going Merry (Water 7)

This is just an emotional scene and moves a lot of people. Including me.

3. Zoro takes Luffy's pain (Thriller Bark)

This is just a badass scene.

2. Silent goodbye to Vivi (Alabasta)

I think the showing of friendship shows through here. That they value her and would not deny her.

1. "I want to Live" (Enies Lobby)

This is pretty obvious. It was more of the crew lining up and basically showing they will not give up on her.

Also, as far as I remember the remark about Shanks was that he was not coming to the War, but had moved to stop Kaidou from attacking WhiteBeard. A marine mentioned Kaidou was going to move against the Shirohige, and the Red Hair went to intercept. The marines remarked worry about what may result from the conflict. This was in Chapter 533, page 3.

zomgz I got mentioned in teh podcast

I think I have a definitive top 5 now:

1. Luffy vs. Usopp
2. Revelation of Ace's father
3. Nami's cry for help/march on Arlong Park
4. First appearance of Sogeking
5. First appearance of Gear Second/Blueno getting his ass kicked

RUNNER UPS:
"I wanna live!" scene, the crew is utterly defeated, Zoro vs. Mihawk, Zoro vs. Kuma, Gomu Gomu no Storm, Lucci getting Gear 3rd'd, Luffy vs. Bellamy, "YOU'RE BLACKBEARD?", Shanks using Haki in the first chapter… and there's so many more, but I could spend an entire day here. I think a top 20 or more truly is neccesary, and it wouldn't be that hard to come up with really.

I have a feeling that this is going to change after the Whitebeard War arc is over, especially after we see some of these epic moments animated and with music.

I know lots of people like Usopp v Luffy but I don't. It is painful to me. Seemed like Luffy could have easily explained the situation as he reacted the same way Usopp did. But Luffy had it explained to him and he never gave Usopp the same curtisy.

Great episode. It seemed to go by so fast! I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoy being able to listen to it in one sitting now, but it was just so fast! It's probably just because we didn't have a new chapter this week.

Goodness, this is going to be hard…

I'm cheating by counting the two backstories together since they're from the same arc, haha. They're my favorite back stories, and they both make me immeasurably sad.

Death of Merry is by far the most upsetting/touching/memorable moment for me in the entire series.
I probably wouldn't have counted jet gatling higher than "I want to live," but there was just so much riding on that fight. The arc did such an incredible job building up the gravity of the situation and when it finally came down to Luffy having to give it his all and more... it was just great.
