Yeah it's very charming and has a few very delicate moments that I like
it's not fantastic, but I love it. It's hard to describe what I mean

swan princess isn't perfect but it's not bad (the sequels are, however)

Wow memories! I used to love this movie heh.
I wish I still had all my old videos, now I can't remember them until I'm prompted by a comment or video.
Edit:
It's kinda sad when you rewatch an old movie you loved and don't enjoy it as much. When I was a kid my all time favourite was something called Footrot Flats. Went and watched it again and it was slow and a bit odd. Still some funny moments though.

...it had some great moments, but I kind of cringed at both the main villain and sappy ending.
(The end pretty much mirrored the incredibles)
Nicholas cage was actually rather cool doing some of the Profs voicing. Not to mention the following theme of a robot gaining more humanity than most of the cities inhabitants.
Either way I wouldn't mind seeing a second film be made.
Old strip, but still funny.
Hey, it's still relevant.
I would have swore that was French.
Holy shit that looks beautiful.

Well, we've got this now.

Yyyyyyyyyyyyeah. So apparently it stars Johnny Depp.
Does Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow count as animated? Seeing as it's 99.999% animated anyway.
I saw that movie yesterday, the main woman Polly was so stupid, it drove me insane.
Well, we've got this now.

This trailer has me so excited
totally hooked
Watching Osmosis Jones tonight.. i forgot how Villianous Thrax was:blink:

. . . . . . . . I don't get it.

The crazy thing is, the actual plot of the movie doesn't make the trailer make much sense either.
! Supposedly it's about a chameleon with an identity crisis.
Guess they were hoping to ride on Newt's coattails…too bad for them!
Saw cloudy with a chance of meatballs yesterday night
Quite a mix of Action.Horror and sci fi ( i only say horror due to a few scenes)
a good movie but freaky

This looks better than Alpha and Omega.

Well it's starring Johnny Depp. So my guess is that Tim Burton was trying to go for his quickest remake ever.

First thing that came to my mind: Harry Potter spin-off.
That impression isn't necessarily contradictory with the reality.

Dude, this movie takes reality and throws it out the window.
I mean, Owls with helmets??! They are lacking the nessery bones to even beging doing something metal!
Show me an owl cerberus and I won't complain .
First penguins, now owls.
I want a flamingo spy action/thriller next.
The movie Megamind looks pretty danged sweet.

i bet you didn't know that owls can't actually talk either????

I saw the trailer for Megamind when I went to see Toy Story 3; seems pretty good.
But I also saw this:

I realize that this was talked about two pages ago, but man does this look terrible.
I don't care what you guys say, the Legend of the Guardians actually looks really cool. The animation is beautiful. Unlike Alpha and Omega which looks pretty simplistic.
Yeah, I'm actually excited about Legend of the Guardians. I love owls.
And who the fuck cares if they wear helmets, IT'S FANTASY!!!!!

:I is right. I turned bright red thinking about being in a theatre, seeing that trailer with a bunch of little kids or hormone enraged adolescents and OP parents sitting next to me.
And the fudging fur. Always with the fur. =_=
I realize that this was talked about two pages ago, but man does this look terrible.
I'm just trying to figure out why the wolves have human haircuts, but bears apparently don't. The Rango video, by comparison, doesn't bother me in the least. Sure, you don't find out anything about the movie, but that film's eventual ad campaign is going to boil down to "Hey, Johnny Depp is in this movie!" So they might as well do whatever they want to for right now.
Why is it looks like those wolves have faces made out of clay, and then the rest of their bodies look like sock puppet texture?
Really… if you're going to do a cgi film with an all furry animal cast... you should REALLY put some priority into fur texture rendering software. Cause they just look creepy and terrible.
You're right…the fur and face textures are inconsistent with itself as well as everything else. And it's very not-wolf-like.
@robbybedfart:

Well, look at the wolves' faces for a second. Going by the hair and facial expressions, the animators spent the bulk of their time working to make the wolves look as much like people (presumably their respective voice actors) as possible while the fur was an afterthought.
Some of the faces are so human it's almost creepy. Kind of like bad furry art.
But the eyes…they're the worst part. Too flat, bright and cartoony.
Some of the faces are so human it's almost creepy.
Human? The wolf on the right looks like a beaver/hedgehog.
I'm not disagreeing that they don't look like wolves, but the faces have an overabundance of human characteristics that would fit more maybe if they were walking on two legs and wearing clothes.
They need to take a note from Disney there, actually. Disney knows how to animate talking animals who still look like animals.
Then go to Pixar to ask about fur texture.
So yeah, maybe we should rename this the "Why Alpha and Omega Sucks/Is Going to Suck" thread.
hey, at least it's not

i'll probably see A+O because it's not a sequel. i couldn't bring myself to even see shrek 4 just because i'm tired of it

I have to admit to being surprised that Space Chimps actually made enough money to justify a sequel. Turns out it turned a nice little profit, but that's largely because it cost $40 million to make.

Same here; it's not like I got as much of a "this is going to suck" vibe that I did off of the third one and it may be a lot better film than its predecessor (though that doesn't mean much), it's just that I have no desire to see it at all.
Thats pretty much how everyone felt about Shrek 4. The industry was apparently surprised when it made 30-5o million less than expected opening weekend.
I guess they hadn't counted on how badly 3 had tainted the franchise with utter apathy.
Hopefully a mistake that will be prevented again in the future….right
I don't think Hollywood knows the meaning of the expression "quit while you're ahead".
I'd watch A&O on dvd...depending on what I hear. Maybe it will turn out to not be as bad as it looks. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs really was better than I thought from the previews.
Speaking of which, I have to ask...I could swear I've seen something like the giant mutated machine in the sky happen before. MAJOR deja vu, but I don't remember anything specifically.

Heh, that's kinda funny.
…I mean, it is a joke right? There's no way that can be real.
