Yeah I already unlocked the spike ear Pichu. Yeah, I have agree with the colors. It weird that pichu and pikachu seem to copy their evolve form colors.

I have a question. If I call up a gym leader for a rematch, will they stay in Saffron forever untill I fight them, or will they leave after a while?
-
Once you've called them, they'll stay until you rematch. its possible to get all 16 of them in the building at the same time.
-
Bill Cosby voice
Gym Leaders are like…Jazz. They'll stick around forever.
-
I think I'll evolve my Pichu. Also my sister is tying to get a shiny Totodile. She's been mating Two Totodile until they turn into dust.
-
My Miltank randomly got pokerus just now when I was grinding levels in my new HG save. Probably not too interesting but it's the first time I've ever come across it in any game ever and I think it's pretty rare to get it this way. Too bad this is just a random save where I use weird and weak pokemon for fun and I won't be ev training or anything and I'll probably never do any competitive battling where I could really use this thing, so this whole pokerus thing is a complete waste of luck and I'd rather find shinies, but still pretty cool imo.
-
can't you not trade pokerus?
-
Umm, why isn't Brock appearing inside the Diglett cave?
I beat him, its Saturday and between 12pm-3pm?
Also, Whitney refuses to give me a rematch even though I'm calling her in the correct time.
-
Did you beat Green? You have to beat him first before Brock shows up.
-

Pokerus is tradeable and spreadable. You shouldn't have any issue getting it to a different game file.

Is one of them from overseas with a foreign language name? That ups the odds quite a bit. It becomes 1 in 2100 instead of 1 in 8600.
Also, she may as well have the male critter be something that can pass on interesting moves totadile doesn't normally learn, only the female passes on body type.
-
Thanks for the info Robby. My sister also thanks you for the info. No she does not have a foreign language name. So I have a feeling what she's going to do now. Thanks again.
-
Also, if you refuse to take 40 eggs in a row and then start taking every single egg, the odds increase drastically.
-
Thanks for the advice as well Rakuen.
-

Really? Where did you hear that? Its the first time I've heard this.
40 in a row in the grass, yes. But refused eggs? Never heard that before.
-
As far as I'm aware the 40 eggs thing is just a myth. It MAY work. But works just like:
B + Down whenever you throw a pokeball
-
B + Down whenever you throw a pokeball
To be fair. That was a legitimate glitch in the originals that actually worked.
-
no it didnt XD Unless they fixed it for the PAL versions.
-
To be fair, I played the originals on emulator, not on gameboy, since I didn't have one. But there the always-capture trick definitley worked. Mighta just been something in the original original version that the roms were based off of. Its a pretty big game breaking glitch, it seems like the sort of thing they WOULD fix as soon as possible.
As did surfing the coast of one area to catch level 200 something critters…

So is there a limit on how many times you can trade with another game using the GTS?
-
So is there a limit on how many times you can trade with another game using the GTS?
Nope. Why would there be?
-
Dunno. I offered a graveler up in one, traded for a kadabra in another, and now I'm trying to put them back in their original games. Easier said than done I'm afraid, because I can't see them in GTS "Seeking".
Maybe it's on a 24 hour timer?

Uh dude, I hate to tell you this, but whatever pokemon you trade in the GTS are effectively gone forever. The thing is, you're trading with random people all over the world and once that random person has your pokemon they're gonna do whatever they want with it. If you want to trade your pokemon and then trade them back it's best to set up do a regular trade with someone you know before hand.
-
So I got some spare time while I wait for my books, anyone wanna trade?
And on the Wi-Fi room, not GTS lol.
My name: LUIS - 2107 1266 2016
I got a shitload of Pokemon I wanna trade and get back, like Rhydon w/ Protector, Seadra w/ King's Rock, Dusclops w/ Reaper's Cloth etc.
-
this will be hard to put pokemon into GTS to get good stuff since there are no Finneons in Silver ..
maybe clone totodiles and get more pokemon.XD
EDIT: O.o why did i think Jasmine would be the water type Gym leader….what is Steel weak against

No, I traded with myself. I have both pokemon, they're just on different cartridges. (Diamond and Soul Silver)
I wanna put them back where they came from, but I only got the one DS. That's why I used the GTS.
-
They are really weak against Ice and Rock moves, Kaizoku.

Oh, well I don't know what to tell you then bud, but that's some very risky business dealing with the GTS in that manner. I don't know the GTS tracking system works, but I'm guessing it just selects random offerers from all over the world. If that's the case it'd be like finding a needle in a haystack.
-

thank you.
guess so far croconaw, shuckle and sudowoodo work.
( stupid thunderbolt KO everyone though.) -

You'd think so, but I narrowed the search down to level/gender/region, got only 2 hits. And neither of them were the one I put up.
I felt pretty safe about it. I put the lvl 20 kadabra up first and asked for a lvl 50 graveler. The kadabra was expendable, so even if someone wanted to trade their big graveler for a crappy kadabra I'd still be ahead.
Had I done vice versa, I'd be a little more nervous. This wouda work quite nicely, if not for this odd blackout between the games all the sudden.
-
Well yeah, of course if you put an absurd trade up, no one is going to go for it. Put up something reasonable, and of course there's a chance of it getting grabbed. that's an incredibly risky way of passing around your stuff.
Really, find a friend that also has the game. They can live anywhere in the country, and just schedule some trade time with them. How often are you going to need a poke RIGHT THIS INSTANT, or trade more than 2 or 3 anyway?
-

That is, by far, the WORST thing about the GTS. People putting up Magikarps and asking for a level 70 Rhyperior. What the fuck?! Get real, people!
-
I would enjoy a feature that allowed you to search for what Pokemon people were asking for, so you could see what you'd be able to trade for right there.
-
I hate that whenever I want to find even an ordinary critter, (that might be version exclusive or rare outside its generation) level 1 or whatever, no gender preference, any nationality… as simple to please as possible... and the only trade options are for like, level 100 Latios and Mewtwos. What the hell?

Not very practical with 500 critters and the entire world asking for them…
-
I'm gonna ask once again because everyone seemed to ignore my previous post (boo hoo imma cut my wrists)
Anyone wanna trade?
LUIS - 2107 1266 2016
Got pretty much almost every Pokemon that evolves through trade/trade w. item. -
Ive had some rare luck on Pearl/platinum before with pokemon GTS..
Ive got a pinsir i may trade for something.. but i got to travel from Cianwood to get it on GTS
-
@robbybedfart:

Obviously it's a huge pool to gather data from and not realistic, but, hey, I can dream of a world where I could just get an Elekid from something that isn't retarded, or see a deal that piques my interest.
-

Unless I have the "absurd" poke on the other end. Then it should be a simple way of me transferring my awesome pokes to another game, or evo trade my main guys without having to track down another DS.
And the worse case scenario is I lose a less valuable pokemon and gain an extra powerhouse. Risky? More like lucky.
-
Yeah the absurd trades ruin the whole thing. So far I've managed to gain a lvl 1 japanese Totodile for my Dratini (poke-walker) and a Japanese Teddiursa for my Sableye.
-
Whoo hoo, finally let me switch them back!
-
EDIT: O.o why did i think Jasmine would be the water type Gym leader….what is Steel weak against
….
Fire.
Steel types are weak against fire types attack.Fire can melt steel. Try Fire type attacks.
-
Fire and Water pretty much destroys Jasmine's team.
At least it did for me =3
-
Steelix is weak against ground attacks or is only Onix??
-
Yeah. Earthquake can screw over Steelix and Aggron etc.
Although I don't think it works on Magnemite so :/
-
Surprisingly, Earthquake DOES work on the Magne-family. Unless it uses Magnet Rise, at which point you're screwed.
-
really? I thought Magne family all had Levitate? Or did they get rid of that? If so~ awesome!
-
They never had Levitate for some reason. Hence why Magnet Rise was invented.
-
I find that feebas makes extremely good trade fodder.
-
Yeah. I found Feebas and Dratini are awesome trade fodder ones. Considering Dratini are easy to get on this game its awesome.
-
The fuck!?
I put a totodile on GTS and asked for Charmander.
Came back just now. Trade went through and I got….
A Poliwhirl named Charmander.
WTF 0.o
