LUCCI DA PIGEON PIMP

I was thinking about something recently , if franky or/and pauli ( and i really hope the AND option ) join the crew then the usual trio luffy-zoro-sanji will change and become luffy-zoro-franky , luffy-franky-pauli, luffy-zoro-pauli etc…

I think that if its the case than it would be:

Head : Luffy

fighters : zoro
sanji
franky
pauli

I think that giving 5 main fighters for the crew would be better because in the future they would have to fight more powerful and numerous opponent , pirates or marines ( think about the blackbeard pirates and blackbeard himself who was under ace commendement (!! ) and ace himself is only the second in command which implies that there is someone else between him and whitebeard )

the strawhat need more fighters than only luffy-zoro-sanji .
I think that those 2 joining would be a big present for the crew .

i don't talk about the other crew cause they are not obliged to fight : chopper is the ship doctor , nami is the navigator , usopp is the sharpshooter and robin is an archeologist. They fight if they don't have any choice but they are not obliged to fight at the first place.

What do u think of that ? Don't you think the new crewmember ( franky and /or paulii) would change things?

Maybe Franky shouldn't be a fighter and leave all the major fighting for Luffy Zoro and Paulie and have sanji and franky as like a back-up

Well Chopper really is a fighter though. He just isn't as confident as the others. And don't forget Robin is actuallys trong. Paulie or Franky would both make nice additions as the shipwright/carpenter.

I think Sanji/Franky is more sutiable for frontline fighting than Pauley.

Chopper is not a fighter, He only fights if he have too. Heck, Usopp is more a fighter than Chopper. I think that strength within the strawhat crew is divided in 3 groups and all the fighter in one group are kinda even..

1. Luffy, Zoro & Robin

If we go by your definition where Chopper is not a fighter, then Nico Robin isnÂ´t a fighter either. SheÂ´s not the person who runs enthusiastic into a whole lot of opponents while Sanji does. Just like Luffy and Zoro.

So basically it would be like this:

Luffy, Zoro, Sanji
Chopper, Nico Robin
Usopp, Nami

And I consider the female musician thing some kind of a strecht. I mean I can see why you put Paulie in there (though he would probably be among with Luffy, Zoro and Sanji) but placing a character in a group while thereÂ´s zero evidence that such a character exists in the OP world so far. ;)

And.. I don't get your post... Do you think that Sanji is stronger than Robin and that he's even with Luffy and Zoro? And that Chopper and Robin is even?

Well I will divide the order of strength of the Strawhats (purely based on my opinion):

1. Full-time fighter: Luffy, Zorro & Sanji
2. Part-time fighter: Robin & Chopper
3. Casual fighter: Nami & Usopp (in my opinion, these two are more brain than brawns in battle)

I kinda share Ivotas's thought :P

As for future possible crewmember (where so far the speculation had been on either Franky and Paulie): they would most likely fit in the first category. However, recent events in the Puffing Tom has led me to believe that Paulie is more of a category 2 and Franky more of a category one (due to their different physical structure).

Once again, this is purely my opinion, so please take no offence :)

Well lets see…

Luffy- He has to stay the strongest. He's going to be the Pirate King, and Mihawk said that was going to be harder than beating him.

Zorro- Definatly the second after Luffy. The best swordsman in the world is obviously going to be one of the best fighters there is.

Those were the easy ones. These next few are the tricky ones.

Nico Robin- She seems to either be able to defeat foes very easily, or to be able to do nothing to them. People with relitvly normal bodies like Pell she can take out very quickly. But the three Logia users she's faought have easily beaten her. Also Pharmcia powers that alter the body, like say Luffy, Buggy and Mister 1 would also stop her.

Sanji- Definetly stronger than the average cook, but he will probably begin to fall behind. His dream is to find All Blue, not be the worlds best kicker. Although that would help.

Ussop- He may improve more. Personally we really haven't seen a gunfight yet in the series. God knows I want to see him in another naval battle.

Chopper- Midlevel. He can fight and do well, but his real calling is in healing, not hurting. Best as back up or in a team I think.

Nami- I'll wait till I know what the perfect Climatact can do.

Franky- Definatly strong. I'd place him at around Sanji's level. If he were to join he could potentally give himself upgrades like with dials, or other technology the Strawhats may encounter.

Paulie- He really hasn't impressed me to much yet. He needs to get over his feelings about being beat by CP9 before he's ready for the strawhats. CP9 wrecked him, and so far he seems to be at best, equal with Chopper. However he may improve and become stronger. Give him a decent Devil Fruit, he could really be something.

Hibiki

Chopper can take virtually anybody out with his Rumble Ball. He just doesn't want to fight. And he is more brains than brawn.

Paulie seems to be strong just silly or atleast he was silly. I can't wait to see him do battle.

Chiyo-chan

Chopper can be very strong, his only problem is he doesn't have confidence in himself. He's more like Ussop in that he's constantly afraid of enemies. Although he's getting a bit better. A big stepping stone for him was when he took on Gedatsu. That was the first time he took on an enemy all by himself. (all his other battles he's at least had one of the other strawhat pirates around him)

Let's run this down, shall we?

[Luffy]

Cussedness and raw power mixed into one, I think there isn't much doubt that Luffy's the strongest in the crew. His stretching abilities give him a range advantage, and he's certainly not the weakest strength-wise, at that. He's fast enough to follow Kuro's Nuki-ashi, and tough enough to survive three rounds with one of the SHICHIBUKAI. He's been stabbed, slashed, and poisoned, and through sheer strength of will he manages to get up. Call it determination in its ultimate form. With attacks like the Gomu Gomu Cannon, he can break through some damn hard stuff… I give the number one spot to Luffy.

[Zoro]

Strength, strength, and even more absurd strength. Lifting a building is bad enough, but CUTTING TWO TRAIN CARS WITH ONLY A PAIR OF SWORDS? That's just insane. Add to his strength, inhuman toughness (5 liters of blood lost!!!) and remarkable skill, and you've got a deadly fighting machine. Up close, he's just about unstoppable. Even at range, he has the "____ Pound Cannon" attacks, which are just as deadly – if not moreso -- than his other techniques. And, if you let him pull off one of his Iai strikes, you can kiss yourself goodbye.

[Nami]

I reserve full judgement on Nami until we've seen her Perfect Clima Tact in action. But, judging from her fight with Miss Doublefinger, she can fight decently. As she herself said, the Clima Tact is the perfect weapon for her – her, who so intimately knows weather patterns and phenomena. The Cyclone Tempo packs a damn fine punch, and even Tornado Tempo -- gimmicky as it is -- can be useful. Thunderbolt Tempo is good for a shocking result, and she has a couple of good defensive techniques. But, can she stand up to the level of Sanji or Chopper? Doubtful. She's a thinker, not a fighter.

[Usopp]

If he had more confidence in himself, Usopp would be even more dangerous in battle. He's witty, tough (FOUR TON BAT), and knows how to combo. Most of his weaker attacks – Namari Boshi, Kayaku Boshi, Kaen Boshi -- are decently strong, but not finishers by any means. But, in his fight with Luffy, he demonstrated his fighting style well. When he can get a plan in his head, he can get on a roll. That Dial-Kaenboshi combo was brilliant, and certainly had an effect on Luffy, mentally and physically. His Exploding Cactus Star seems to be more powerful than his Kayaku Boshi, so that might work as a finishing move of some sort... Or just as a very powerful normal attack. The Flash Dial could definitely be useful in a fight, and I wonder if we won't be seeing it in his crusade against CP9 as Sogeking. Take the Mr. 4-pair fight. At first he seemed to be struggling, but when he heard the Pair laughing at Luffy's dream, he entered into a level of kickassery that I doubt we'll see for quite some time. HE TOOK A FRICKING FOUR TON BAT TO THE HEAD -- beat that. I know, I know, get to the point. I can't put Usopp above Sanji or Robin, or even Chopper, but he's still up there with the best of 'em.

[Sanji]

His kicks are devastating. Being taught by the famed "Red-Leg Zeff" certainly had an impact on his abilities. So, I'm going to assume he has roughly the same amount of power that Zeff had – he can leave footprints in steel, say. That's a LOT of power. His techniques put that power to good use, and he's certainly not slow by any means, either. In terms of physical power, he probably has Robin beat, but I doubt he could win against her (even discounting that he wouldn't fight her anyway).

[Chopper]

With his seven distinct forms, Chopper has a lot of versatility in battle, even if it is only three minutes. He can be fast; he can be tough; he can be strong. What the main problem he has is, confidence. Against strong foes, he hesitates, but when he's determined, he can kick ASS. Take the assault on the Franky House – he was totally cool, and he whupped 'em. If he can find more confidence, he can definitely move up in power.

[Robin]

Well, it's pretty clear that against non-Logia, normal-sized foes, Robin is nigh-unstoppable. But against unusually-sized opponents, she finds herself in trouble. And, of course, Logias own just about everyone. But, in a normal one-on-one fight against any number of normal opponents, Robin will ALWAYS have the upper hand. Still, against "second-tier" characters (take her fight with Yama; Zoro's fight with Mr. 1; Sanji's fight with Kuroobi, etc.), she will likely find trouble.

So, the order would look something like this:

Robin actually should be the strongest of the crew imo, but she isn't much of a fighter. First off, any non-DF user, no matter how strong, could never dream to take on Robin. No matter how lightning-fast and uberstrong you are, you can't dodge hands that come from your own body and rip you to shreds. Zoro and Sanji would be chanceless against her. And anything these guys can do, she can too. Zoro rips a train in half? Robin could toss it aside with her plethora of hands just as easily. (remember movie 4 - granted not an Oda story but still)

And if she uses her power to its full potential, I don't see how abnormally-sized opponents would be a problem. She just has to use more hands. Or tie em together to form a huge hand. I don't see how Luffy could beat her either. He'd just get mangled while Robin is at a safe distance.

That leaves the logia-users. They pretty much dominate everyone. Ao Kiji owned her easily. But the same was true for Luffy. Luffy basically has to use a "trick" to defeat them, like he used fluid on Crocodile, and whichever trick it is, Robin can use it too. Carry a barrel of water, dump it on the hands that grab croc and "clutch" him.

The reason you don't see her fight much, imo, is because she simply is too strong and it would make for some boring story to have her whoop everyone in a few seconds. Take the davy back fight for example.. wouldn't have been much of a race if she had used her hands from the get-go to destroy her opponents..

She tried that on Croc, on a smaller scale admittedly, and she attempted to stab him rather than use her powers. Between that, her attempt to avoid fighting Ener by bribing him, and her failed attack on Aokiji, it's pretty obvious that her powers simply won't work on Logia users.

Yep, you truly donÂ´t get it. I said that unlike Nico Robin, Sanji is a fighter. I donÂ´t understand whatÂ´s not to get there. If thereÂ´s a large group of pirates or marines, who are the guys, the fighters that run full speed ahead towards them to beat them up? ItÂ´s either Luffy, Zoro or Sanji. I`ve never seen Nico Robin run at anyone so far so that doesnÂ´t qualify her as a fighter.

She said it herself, her ability is assasination. And it fits perfectly with how she deals with opponents. She mostly just stands somewhere and uses her DF powers but thatÂ´s not a fighting skill. If I would be attacked by twenty people and I take them down with a machine gun, would you call me a skilled fighter then? ;)

Combat strenght is actually the same thing. At least if I define it like that on how much hits someone can take. I see it as that Sanji can take more then Robin (though we havenÂ´t seen what heÂ´s able to take so far).
But I understand what you mean though I think combat strenght is maybe not the proper term to describe that. :)

Well, ofcourse you have a point. And I'm going out on a limb here, because afterall one piece is a light-hearted show (which is why rarely anyone ever dies) so my train of thought is never going to happen, but if she were to use her power to its full potential, she could overcome her lack of physical strength. Carrying a bag of daggers is one thing that comes to mind. I don't think it takes much imagination to see how she can atleast incapacitate an adversary even if she can't kill him right away.. and then it's just a matter of finding the right way to finish them. And clutching isn't all she does, one of her attacks (she used it on marines once) is to choke her opponent. Mr. 1 is a bit harder with his metal body, but she could hold some poison ready, gauge out his eyes, use gunpowder, etc. But like I said, not in the spirit of One Piece, but definately possible - if one piece were more like basilisk or something :/.

I don't think Gouging out his eyes would work. Wouldn't they be steel too? I do agree that if Robin was as inventive with her powers with Luffy, and had the same base power even without the DF as he does she'd be a lot more dangerous.

Her derailing a train is possible, but it's not a subsitute for straight up splitting them.

Also, her advantages are unclear. She beat Tashigi, Pell, and Yama. Those three don't stand a chane against Zoro or Sanji, though Sanji wouldn't hit Tashigi. Zoro's back didn't snap when he lifted the building chunk, so she'd have a very hard time with him. Sanji I'm not competely sure of.

Yeah, size can be a problem. No matter how many hands she sprouts, those "bananadiles" woud have been a probem for her, unlike Sanji.

Usually, that seems to be the case. But can she just beat Rokushiki so easily?

Oh, and I don't think she stood a chance against Mr. 1. Besides being metallic, he sprouted blades.

Could Robin even beat Zoro? I've been thinking about it alot (mainly because she has the higher bounty and every thing), but with his strength would she be able to break anything? And he does have some long range attacks to.

Also can anyone like do something to her to her hands like cut them or grab and put pressure on them? I've always wondered that.

The Tsumegeri Guards injured her hands on the Alubarna Castle, forcing her to un-summon them. Robin's hands are not invincible; rather, they are pretty vulnerable.

But Robin also has above average arm strength. She can strangle 30 Marines with 30 hands, which means she only needs one hand for each man. She just wouldn't risk doing moves that can injure her body parts, since all the injuries go to the "original" part.

That is why, she is a master of her powers. She developed her techniques so efficiently that she can take very strong enemies without the fear of being injured (E.g.: Sprouting arms that couldn't be reached or arms that disarm the enemies instantly…)

ok well my order for the crew is this.
1)Luffy
2)Zoro
3)Sanji
4)Robin
5)Chopper
6)Usopp
7)Nami

Also all this stuff about Robin and Chopper not counting cause Chopper is the doctor and junk,can be aplied to Sanji as well since he is the cook and his job is not to fight.The fact is everyone has to fight that is what being a pirate is about.

Also I really want Paulie to join the crew I like him alot more then Franky,Franky just creeps me out with the hole speedo thing.
