you know, my favorite parts of homestuck are whenever Dave talks at length, and whenever Karkat really lets loose. And since Dirk is a poor man's Dave, and UU seems to be a poor man's Karkat, this exchange has been pretty good.

Everybody out of the god damn way. You got a lab full of cats, a skirt full of scamper, and a head full of vodka.
Perfection.
And now we have a puase. Jane: Enter, perhaps?
Also, Hussie is so adorable cheering Dante Basco on as he trudges through the behemoth that Homestuck is.

I wonder if Dante will continue after he reads his scene with Andrew.
On an unrelated note, I really wish shitty web comics would stop advertising on his damn site, or at the very least create banners that don't pander to the lowest common denominator. -
What the fuck?
! You know, this reminds of of Lost where this bright light suddenly sends everyone into the future. Wowzerz.
Let's see what happened.
! -AR didn't get a chance to perform a pre-Sburb prototyping on dead John. Okay… why would AR attempt to prototype him first to begin with? Wasn't the first prototyping always supposed to be a random weak object so that the ring users won't get stronger? Maybe the rules have changed and they were prototyping the same way the trolls did when they used their lenus.
! -Jane seems like she was the only person to enter her session before the whole time jump.
! -Okay.. this time jumping shit is weird. So I'm thinking Lord English is making his move since he's well... the time lord or something? -
I have the damndest time taking in everything I should from these flash updates. And the longer they are the worse it is for me.

Roxy and Dirk have been in the future all along! Those seagulls were hanging around him as he conversed with Jane (still in the past). More time shenanigans![/hide]

Ahhh! That makes sense. Perfect sense.
-
! You know, the more I think about this time travelling twist, it actually makes perfect sense.
Nana and Grampa were a generation older than Mom and Bro.
Other than that, I have a feeling act 6 is going to make act 5 look like a pamplet. -
Part 2 is over this quickly… Goodie. Well atleast it's more divided this time around. Unlike Act 5... with 2 dreadfully long parts. Of course, that wasn't planned.
Looking forward to the next Intermission.
-
Yeah, I like how Hussie juggles his acts and intermissions this time. It's like, every time I start missing John and all the guys - wham! - and green curtain falls down.
And, just to make sure: Jane sees the battleship of Batterwitch and then gets transported to medium. Without any interaction with the cruxite artefact. Am I getting this right?
-
Maybe the tree never meant to bear anything since the area was pretty much taken over.. unlike John's with the apple and Apple shaped station.
But I don't know. That part kinda puzzled me. -
I'm most looking forward to seeing what results from an un-prototyped Kernelsprite. We've gotten hints that its not good.
-
Whoa, good point. I was so blind sided by FUTURE that I didn't even think about that.
-
! Yessssss Slick. <3
-
! Is it just me, or is Hussies butler just a little too happy in that last age.
Other than that, nice to see Slick survived the destruction of his universe. -
Mind = Blown
-
RoboSlick vs BecNoir is something I very much want to see now!
-
Aww that scottie soup was cute. Oh snap though.
RoboSlick vs BecNoir is something I very much want to see now!
Agreed. :D
-
-
Yeah, looks like I won't be able to see what I wanted to (why must updates happen minutes after I check!?)
-
What just happened.
What.
WHAT.
WHAT.
-
Oh fuck…
Never saw that coming
Ryan North is going to be heart broken.
-
! I hope he's gonna take Ms. Paint as his bride.
-
Oh, this is just an intermission. Nothing serious ever happens in intermissions.
! Next update Lord English murders Hussie and makes Slick write Homestuck instead.
-
"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO FROM ZERO TO DOUCHE LIKE IN THE BLINK OF A FUCKING GLANCE NUGGET"
Oh I have missed you, Karkat.
-
Yeah I admit I didn't get anything. Ah I like these intermission parts, they always fuck with my sanity. All it takes is to look into Lord English's eyes and I lose it. Also can you stab somebody in a thankful manner? That part made me laugh.

Everyone would die a slow horrible death within seconds I guess. Something Inside of me really wants to read that now.
-
Lord English just looks like a Super BAMF right there. Like, 'who the fuck is Doc Scratch' kind of BAMF.
-
You know… I think Lord English is probably looking for his dog.
-
And now we have yet another cherry atop this heaving pile of what the fuck.
[hide]Andrew Hussie found his way of squeezing in more god tiers that didn't happen by putting them into characters that weren't supposed to happen.

I kind of figured that was the case ever since the Furthest Ring was introduced… I mean, it contains pretty much contains everything dead in every existing universe and that includes doomed timelines and whatnot. Still, I'm trying to understand the big picture. If everything existed and everything in the universe in some shape or form has happened already happened, what is the real goal or main reason to keep living? Does it all end? I'm sure Karkat is questioning this himself, and it's probably one of the more fascinating things about Homestuck./
That said. Eraidan looks stupid. Fitting indeed.
Though I do wonder if he's gotten over his lame attempts at romantic rivalries with pretty much everybody. Surprised he didn't try to like... kill Rose on the spot or something. -
This has got to be the most depressing Karkat memo. Too bad that Karkat memos are hilarious to be depressing.
And why are you wearing a Psyduck hat, Eridan. You are not cool enough to wear a Psyduck hat. Take it off.
-
Eridan's costume is silly (we knew this since UU drew Dirk) but his wings are BOSS as hell!
-
Me: "Aw yeah! we're getting a Karkat /Karkat memo, those are always comedic gold. Perfect thing to wash down all this OMFG we've been eating for the past few weeks."
Hussie: "Nope" -
Karkat has achieved new trolltech: FRACTALINE SELF-TROLL
It's also somewhat cute to see Dave, Terezi and WV playing with chalk together. It's like something normal thirteen year olds and be-carapaced strangers do for once.
-

Somewhat?
That's and understatement. It was very cute! Also… I wonder if we'll get some updates of whether or not Kanaya's clown hunting was successful. Porbally not. He's either gone through unexplained reasons or retained.
-
Yeah, I'm really wondering if they're just letting Gamzee trot about like nothin. Maybe get they slimepies from dream bubbles too?
-
Well I guess that answers my question about Gamzee.
I'm loving the revival of CanTown!
-
Oh dear god…whats in the coffee machine.
-
That coffee machine was earthbound way before the meteor started flying.
-
Oh dear god…what is the coffee film made of?
Other than that, glad we finally know what the hell the point of the battle field is. -
Actually, that was said by Rose or Karkat a very long time ago. I've noticed during my recent reread on Homestcuk in its entirely(I have about 500 pages left.)
But yeah. The battlefield would never heal or last long enough to reach its final form. Basically I think there is no second chance for this session unless the war and Reckoning doesn't happen.(impossible, since there are still meteors exiting Skia's defence portals). But what about a second chance at the ultimate reward? Is obtaining that impossible too? I have to admit, the whole thing is rather confusing for me. When the trolls finished their session, they were about to claim their reward, but it was destroyed by Jack. And I was sorta thinking that the reward was actually the new universe created by them. Maybe the reward is a door to a new universe that's free of Sburb? Or is it something else?
Okay, I'm asking too much questions. I'm sure no one knows what the ultimate really reward was.
-
-
I think that this session will yet prove fertile by fluke of surviving the scratch which, for the record, is something that's not meant to happen. The kids have an evolved battlefield, plus the players/planets that are necessary in any game that isn't void. I'e thought from the beginning that Skaia's all-knowingness was taking this into account, thus assigning roles and aspects to the players of the new session that don't conflict with those of the old session. Not to mention the eight towers on the frog temple. Act 6 already feels like it will be more complex than act 5, and I'm looking forward to every remaining minute of it!
-
Whats wrong with the battle field Jade has Captchalogued?
-
Totally forgot Jade took Skia and the planets with her. Durrr.
So it's like a New Game +
Also, no Reckoning. Figures. And…Wow. There were Beta and Alpha portals. Don't tell me I totally missed this. -
Lmao that is pretty much the best romance novel cover ever.
-
Is it just me, or does anyone else think Rose is starting to act more like her mother?
-
DAVE: oh my god
DAVE: why is this happening -
I am dense when it comes to ectobiology, so I have a question that is probably considered dumb. But can we assume that in the postscratch session one of the kids will actually lead to a similar experiment, comparable to John creating six children. But this time around it would finally close the circle of fucking with my brain by showing that the prescratch kids are not only the children but also parents of the postscratch kids? This is probably considered a given by now, but I just need it spelled out for me.
Also the revelation that Roxxy and Dirk are talking to (and falling in love with) their friends while living 400 years in the future? Did I read it wrong? I'm confuse now, derp. Seein how complicated troll romance is, our romance is not much better, since the nature of our relationships depends so much on our age and the time we were born. It's a very narrow time window. Look at Rose's Mom and Dad, they were meant to be! Roxxy and Dad? THAT IS SOO SICK, HELL NO! Now Dirk would be in love with someone who is technically dead?
Also on another note:
FCG: BUT ALSO THIS CONVERSATION HELPED CLARIFY SOME THOUGHTS TOO, IN SPITE OF ITS EXCRUCIATING POINTLESSNESS.
FCG: PART OF WHAT'S BOTHERING YOU ABOUT THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS ABOUT MORTALITY.
CCG: YEAH
CCG: I THINK THAT'S PART OF IT.
CCG: AFTER VISITING WHO KNOWS HOW MANY DREAM BUBBLES
CCG: AND HANGING OUT WITH WHO KNOWS HOW MANY DEAD FRIENDS, AND COPIES OF DEAD FRIENDS FROM ALTERNATE TIMELINES…
CCG: I START TO WONDER, DOES DEATH EVEN REALLY MEAN ANYTHING?
CCG: DID LIFE MEAN ANYTHING, FOR THAT MATTER??
CCG: WAS THE POINT OF LIFE TO JUST GO AROUND COLLECTING A BUNCH OF PAINFUL AND AWKWARD EXPERIENCES TO SUPPLY MATERIAL FOR THE REVOLVING MEMORY-COLLAGE THAT SERVES AS THE BACKDROP TO A MUCH LONGER, EMPTIER STRETCH OF EXISTENCE?I tried as hard as I could to not take Homestuck too seriously, and it works swell most of the time because of how relentlessly this comic makes fun of itself on a regular basis. But then I read stuff like that and I start to think. And it suddenly touches on intimate thoughts about the point of existence. And I suddenly take it serious, despite it trying its hardest for me not to. That is a great feat, I guess.
Is it just me, or dose anyone else think Rose is starting to act more like her mother?
Yes and I giggled to myself when Dave made a comment about how he would be drinking alcohol all day when he would be alone without adults. xD
