What I remember about 2008:
The year my grandfather passed away on New Year's Day
I went to the Funeral
I went to my first Anime Convention
I went to my first first annual Anime Convention
I witnessed Rick Astley Rickroll America on Thanksgiving and I saw him do it live on television.
I started getting everything ready for College.
I started my amateur voice acting career.
I started writing my manga.
I worked up the courage to come out.
I saw The Dark Knight in Theaters.
Other than that, it's either a personal matter, something that was uneventful, or something that I don't remember.
I don't remember shit, and I dont feel like remembering a lot. All I know is summer, fall and winter were great for me. Some bad moments, yes, but we all have them. It is also the year I started reading One Piece again and got hooked on it again. (Hadn't read it in 2 years, I think)

I'll remember 2008 for, of course, Barack Obama being elected President. My art also greatly improved this year, and I finally started writing out the story I've been working on since 2001 which has always been in my head and have greatly improved it upon doing so. It has also been a sad year, with many deaths. Either way, I think 2008 was pretty alright, and hope 2009 we see a better economy.

-First year I didn't go swimming during the summer

I'm loving that almost everyone's 2008 list includes seeing the Dark Knight. I haven't seen it, and it is probably a great film, but is it THAT great? Or is it that great to people cause of the hype?
If it wasn't, I wouldn't have put it on my list.

-Modded my Ps2 to play imports
-Imported Hokuto no Ken and Narutimate Accel (and played the shit out of them)
-Graduated from collage with a degree in New Media
-Haven't found a job with my degree
-Started working a second job at gamestop while i look for "real job"
-Fell more in love with One Piece
-Decided to watch ALL the episodes of One Piece in the span of about a month and a half with friends. (we only were able to do this at night. I had to juggle school, other friends and my job. We would pull 8-10 episode nighters some nights. Great times!)
-Happy that republicans didn't take office again. Specifically happy for all the women of the america that Sarah Palin was NOT the first woman to be vice president and thus not allowed to represent our country as well as influence generations of young woman to come with her "All around bullshit" (good for you ladies).
-As happy as I am… still wary of the government.
-Berserk rocks too. Summer was boring though.
-The Osaka game ended in Gantz.

-Finally got a new contract for work after 3 years of negotiations (Can't wait for that sweet, sweet retro check!)

-Laugh every day as George "I believe in free markets" Bush sets the bar for biggest Socialist president of all time ever higher

2008:
2008 ~ The most important event for me personally was the day of my graduation in 5th of December. Good grades and a fantastic party, what more can you ask for? The second big event was my two-week trip to Japan. God how I loved it there, it was truly the best voyage I've ever had in my life!
2009 ~ Most looking forward to applying into university and traveling to Japan for the second time. If I manage to get in to the university of art and design in Helsinki, it'll also mean that I'd move once again and I'd truly need to learn how to live on my own. Okay, this may sound stupid, but due to the community around you changing via moving to another city, I hope I'll find a boyfriend…

Got my first glasses
Lost my front tooth
Became amateur boxer
Ended a 2 years old relationship
tried cocaine (nothing good comes out of it)
Saved up lots of money to next years travels (Tokyo and Warszawa)
Learned a lot about cooking and appreciating good food.
Got a goal (study to Air Traffic Control Operator)
Experienced my first earthquake and tornado
Uhm, yeah, can't think of much more right now…
