Looks like he's going with flashback covers in general for the final arc. I assume the Kiheitai is next, especially seeing how what seems to be coming next chapter, when! "I'm not a loli-con, I am a feminist" will join the ranks of "Shogun ka yo!!", Sasaki's texting and the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon as Gintama jokes that you won't be able to laught about in the same manner anymore.

Porori is actually the game they played in the pool episode. Still no idea what it is about since it would be rather weird to announce the rerun of a single episode. Guess we'll find out more in this week's Jump, since Gintama is getting the front cover again. Maybe they'll adapt the skipped arcs.

That's I'm guessing as well that these episodes are going to be the left over stuff before they hit the final arc.

I won't mind that. I guess the first episode will be explaining why they are going back to adapt this lol, making some kind of excuse. But with the series supposedly ending this year it seems weird. maybe they are just really unsure if it will or not.

It's confirmed in Jump that it will be the unadapted arcs, rejoice!
! Meanwhile, Bansai and Henpeita sacrificed themselves in the newest chapter. Not on the same level as prior deaths imo, but still a beautiful end to both of them. Wonder if we get Takasugi vs Enshou next ot we'll go back seeing where Sadaharu went.

Damn. 4 years after I started reading Gintama, I finally catch up to the damn thing. It's been some late nights of nonstop reading for me and I couldn't be happier. What a great manga this has been. And all of a sudden, everyone seems to be dying. Friggin' sad but exciting time to be up to date on it. Can't wait to see how it all ends :happy:

Damn. 4 years after I started reading Gintama, I finally catch up to the damn thing. It's been some late nights of nonstop reading for me and I couldn't be happier. What a great manga this has been. And all of a sudden, everyone seems to be dying. Friggin' sad but exciting time to be up to date on it. Can't wait to see how it all ends :happy:

! And Enshou seems pretty much done at this point, though I would expect there to still be something more epic to do here for Nobu Nobu and Shijaku. -
Honestly, at this point, Enshou is either going mad and getting himself killed and abandoned by his subordinates or he is getting talk no jutsu'd and gives up. Either way, this Amenotsuchi(?) plot will be over in a couple of chapters and all focus will go to the final battle against Utsuru and stopping the Altana from destroying the planet. I agree with you in that, as long as not every single character who supposedly died comes back, I'm fine with a few of them returning for the final victory at the spaceship.

Kyubei survived the initial giant metal thing throw, no one in anime dies of injuries in the hospital.

The way Sorachi writes Tama & Kintoki probably will get rebooted in the epilogue (maybe without their old memories) and Elizabeth & Mutsu should turn out fine, while Bansai & Batou have close to zero chances of being alive.

pedpfeminist and Neptune were dead last week.While I would have agreed, looking back you can see quite a different handling in their supposed deaths than to Bansai & Batou. The moments were focused on those two, while Takechi and Neptune kinda were sidelined a bit. I also think if he would've wanted to do the same thing for Bansai & Batou, that he would have also shown them this chapter, so it wouldn't feel even more cheap.

! Enshou gets his flashback, then gets killed. Nobu Nobu is shot (fatally?) in the process, looks like he will give a final speech next chapter.

Wow, I was NOT expecting that ending. It was a very emotionally effective chapter, further cementing Nobunobu as a grown up great character. Until the fatal moment at the end. It really seems like he's going to be the last shogun of Edo and it's going to happen sooner than I thought. Enshou had that coming though. No salvation for such a selfish fucker.

Well I guess that that wraps up all the space stuff. The only villain left is the main one and there are only three plot thread a left. The Sadaharu stuff which is about to kick off, Kagura's Dad arr VIng with Dragon Vein Crystal that can kill the villain? And Gintoki actually confronting him. These could all get resolved in the final battle so now I do think Gintama will end in 2017. It's the end of Ann era :,(
